De-edit
Lots of folk predicted, when the new TV.com took over four or so years ago, that the new management would eventyally stop usign "peer" input and take the whole thing over as their own project.
I guess it's happening - I can think of no other reason to suddenly find I've retired as editor for the only three shows for which I had that status.
(unlike one earlier one where I failed to confirm a posting within twn days (coz I was away on holiday) despite the fact taht in the early days it was typical for a posting not to be approved for at least two months!)

OddCon
I have an icon on my profile which says I participated in a poll about the real hosuewives of orange county, or some such.
Can I just say, here and now, I did no such thing.

Editorhood
Seems to be on "that other system" one volounteered to be a show editor if one was keen to do it.
On this system, seems one is automatically appointed if one posts loads of info about a show - even if one has no inclination to the job.
I've posted a bunch of information on "Chancer" as I watch the re-runs on ITV3 this summer. No-one has reviewed my postings.
I see the show has one "top contributor" at 104 pts who is also editor - presumably de-facto - and about three or four more contributors at one or two points each.
Anyway to wake the editor up? Or get the job moved on if the incumbent isn't interested?
Whislt we're about it, I was just appointed editor of a show on The Old System but come the new system I'm not - and as the show only *has* six episodes, I can't see I'll ever accumulate enough points to be auto-promoted back to the status. The show needs work - I'm prepared to do it - but how to get the gig?- Posted Sep 7, 2005 1:11 pm PT
