Next Gen Gaming Has Officially Begun

Nov. 8, 2006 is a day to remember as Gears of War was
released for the public’s pleasure. The
game has thus far received an average rating of about 9.4 on GameSpot and 9.9
on IGN. It features true next-gen
graphics and gameplay. I look forward to
the future of gaming especially with games at or near the caliber that is,
    Gears of War.

Surprised? The XBOX 360 is winning the Next-Gen Console wars.

Ever since the launch of the xbox360 many people began speculating that it, like the dreamcast would end up being cancelled and microsoft would only make games like Sega. What we must realize is that Microsoft unlike Sega, is a huge corporation. The company has so much money to back itself up, that the console could not bring it to bankrupcy. For this reason Microsoft can do just about anything it wants. Sony on the other hand, although dominating the gaming industry, is still a much smaller company, in terms of money, than Microsoft. It is for this reason that a console such as the PS3 could bring the company near bankrupcy. The PS2 is currently the only thing bringing Sony any big profits and that took over 6 years to do. Now as the PS3 is nearing launch, the arrogant Sony is seeing that Microsoft's move to launch as early as possible, although bumpy, was a good move. Now by the time the PS3 launches Microsoft will already of had millions of Xbox 360's in the market along with up to 50 games available.
