Gaming old...
Many people wonder who and which system will be the better. Some people wouldn't give two cents to see some complicated in-game physics playing in 1080p at 60fps. While others like me will be getting the best of all worlds.
How many people could you think of who has it all... I mean really has it all. I've had everything from the NES to the Sega Nomad, from the Atari Lynx to the Playstation 2. I'm pretty much the literal meaning of a "true gamer". I've competed for the Super Street Fighter II arcade competition and placed first... at the age of 12. I've done more gaming in my life than lil Jon said WUT!?! But now, my life seems to have turn for the better.
I now have a couple of kids. Babie's more like it. I can't do much gaming as I used to. I got my own place to maintain, people to make some munchies for, and bills that make me crinch. But every now and then, I get my play time. It's not exactly how I thought it was gonna be like when I was young. I thought being a grown up meant I could play as much games as I ever could. Well, I could play as much as I wanted too, it's just I got better and more important things to do. It's not like I've grown out of playing games, don't get me wrong. I still have that gamer's passion, but my mind is more organized.
Well, now that i'm almost all the way grown-up, which in my mind will never happen since I still love watching my saturday morning cartoons, I could now see how my life will unfold as a gamer. With all this new high-tech stuff coming out, I wonder if I'll ever be that old guy who doesn't know what's going on or how things worked. I've always loved telling my dad about how every electronic worked if he didn't know how. That was my thing. Now I'm counting the days when my son will tell me, "No dad! This is how it works!" What can I say then? Oh well... Just as long as i could still beat him at Super Mario bros.
