Fanboys II : The Fanboy Wars
No doubt, like i stated in my last blog, fanboys are needed in the computer game industry. But alas being a fan boy isn't helpful when it comes to opinions in computer games. I mean sure they give 'an' opinion, but none the less its an extremelly biased opinion. Lets think about it. You have a teenager who loves Nintendo, and they rate a nintendo game and give it a good score. Well ofcourse theyre going to give it a good score, they love nintendo. Why would they give it a crap score?
So thats when the issue arises when people on their own gamespot profile's post scores and rate games. They will more or less have a biased opinion on the game theyre rating. No matter what game it is. Now im not saying that all gamespot bloggers are biased, but we have to admit there are alot of fanboys on gamespot. Even though many of us deny it, some of us do have a preference of some consoles over others.
Really, to have a none biased opinion in rating games, you need to have enough ca$h to get all the consoles. I mean how can you give a fare rating on a game that you dont even own. Time in and time out i hear what console is better, whos winning the polls, who has the best graphics. You know, whatever. In my opinion all consoles are great, all deliver games that have their ups and downs and all deliver a slightly different aspect of gaming. When you think about it, can you imagine a console war without X-BOX? Or Nintendo or even PlayStation? Deep down i think we ALL think like that.

FanBoys
We've all seen it. We all know about them. We might even consider ourselves to be one of these. But they are needed in the consol world.
Fanboys have been aorund since the early creations of video games and consoles alike. When the Oddyssey first came out (which was really the only choice of game consoles) you were either a odyssey fanyboy, or an odyssey fanboy. The next home console wasn't going to come out for another 4-5 years, so therefore there really wasnt much to choose from. But eventually when Pong released in the arcades, ahh then we started to hear those little muffled voices of whinning little squeaky voices. Fanboys.
They come in all shapes and forms. Big ones, small ones. Infact if i continues this list i'd be here forever. But alas a new breed of computer fanatics were born, and still dominate the gaming scene with there terrible opinions and bad typing skills of "M$ pwns all" and "ninty's 4 kids" i mean really if your going to make a statement please write the whole sentece.
Now im not saying that im not one, but atleast when someone posts something incorrect, i correct them with proper english.
Now rivalries wernt really prevalent until the Sega and Nintendo era. Sonic and Mario going head to head, and this is what pushed sales and made the gaming industry into what it is today.Billions and billions are made on games every year, due to the simple fan boy. I think we owe them something, maybe a little whinning back.
