  One more great deal - Assassin's Creed PS3 for $40!!!

  

  Yeah! I got AC with 20 dollar sale. I hope I can sale it for $40, so I kinda played this game for free. After I will buy FIFA Street 3, so I can play with my friends.

  EVGA e-GeForce 8600 GT 256MB Superclocked review

  Previously I had Ge-Force6600 GT. I planned to switch to 8800 GTS 640MB right away, but then during the boxing day sale Future Shop offered e-GeForce 8600 GT 256MB for $99.99. So I switched my minds and decided that I will replace it in a year or two.

  First thing you notice right away looking on tha box is that it hasn't pictures of warriors from warious gamesas ATI graphic cards have. This package is almost the same as th package ofEVGA e-GeForce 8800GTS Superclocked 640MB PCI-Express Video Card. As my grandma said: "Be simple, and people will like you".

  What do you see after you open the pack? Big plastic box with minimum in it. But the minimum is enough. 2 DVI to VGA adapters, HDTV cable, S-Video cable, user's guide, EVGA driver instalation CD... did I forget something? Oh yes, you will also find the graphics card itself.

  

  

  After I opened the package I decide to take a closer look at the card. Well, if I have to be honest it didn't impress me. 8600 doesn't look violent at all. Newer cards have a almost covered top. This one was covered only in themiddle.Of course, this card is about a year old. But if youhave a transperant PC you shouldn't take it.I by myself have a closedPC so that I don't care how it looks inside.So I started to install it right away, because there was nothing to meet the eye.

  Physical instalation didn't take long, and after 3 minutes I was ready.

  So, let's roll the software part. I switched on the computer and it behaved absolutly normaly. After I logged on to windows it recomebded me to install hardware driver. As I read in the users guide, you have to install the Windows driver, and then EVGA driver.So I did as it said.

  (I took the picture from my camera in order not to disturb the system with screen shots).

  After Windows driver was installed the system asked my confirmationto reboot. After it was ready for the Evga driver. But I didn't take the driver from the CD. Instead I downloaded a newer version which works better with Vista. The procces took about 10 minutes totally.

  

  So, the instalation part was done in less then 30min., but I had to test it in games. I only had 2 serious installed, so I tested them both.

  The first one was STALKER. I played on pretty high graphics and didn't experience any trouble. There were 47 FPS in general, but it went down to 31 in combat scenes with lots of people, but it still enough for me.

  Second game was Ghost Recon AW2. I played on the setings listed below and had a FPS of 36-48. More specificaions you can find surfing the net.

  

  So, to say, I am completely satisfied with my new graphics card. Besides, I got it for only $100, so I can upgrade it sooner. I can't name specifications for ya, just searchGOOGLE, bun what I would give 5 out of 5 to is that 8600 GT works VERY silently. The problev of loud graphic cards is actuall nowadays.
