  i've been playin' MGS and a lot of UFC 2009 lately.

  yup. that's what i've been up to. i used to be excellent at the PSOne classic Metal Gear Solid so i thought i'll play it again. i'm playing it on the psp and i've finished it last night and i clocked 7hrs and 40+ minutes because i watched every cutscene and listened to every codec calls. this game frustrated me at some boss fights because i already forgot the strategies to beat certain bosses, and it gave me a hard time. i feel like playing it for the first time. it shouldn't be as frustrating as this.

  ***[PLOT_SPOILER] ***especially the battle with metal gear rex, and the hand to hand combat with liquid snake. i was so frustrated at those battles last night to the point that i almost threw my psp. good thing i didn't lose my composure and after a lot of re-tries, i finished the game. i'm giving it another playthrough to get the stealth camo. ***[SPOILER_ENDS]***

  in other news, UFC100 is almost here. its scheduled on July 11th. i can't wait to see it. i've been playing a lot of exhibition vs cpu and a few ranked/unranked matches online on UFC 2009. if you have this game on ps3, you can add me so we can play some time. multiplayer is often laggy. i only had one match with no lag. all my other online matches suffer with lag, it messes up my timing for my combos and counters. anyway, i started 0W-6L on ranked matches. that sucks. but now i'm 5W-7L. not bad for an improvement. good thing a patch/update is coming to fix the lag on online matches by finding opponents that i can have the best connection with.

  my anticipated games... and great games i'm gonna pass up this year.

  the games i'm really really looking forward to play are God of War 3, Final Fantasy XIII, and Diablo III. sadly, those games are not coming out this year. i'm patiently waiting.

  so here are my most anticipated games for this year. (not in order)

  Tekken 6 - i'm really a fan of the tekken series and tekken 6 is already the most popular fighting game in the arcades here. i'm always getting smashed at the arcades so i wanna have this game so i can play at home and practice some wicked moves and combos, then show off my skills at the arcades. and its coming out for the PSP too. its gonna be a great fighting game to play on the go.

  Dissidia: Final Fantasy - man, heroes and villains of the Final Fantasy series duke it out. all those teaser videos, wallpapers, and PSP themes are killing me. i want this game so bad.

  Marvel vs Capcom 2 - one of the best fighting games of all time. i never had this game on my PS2 before. good thing it will be released this year for the X360 and PS3. how cool is that?

  NBA 2K10 - NBA games of 2ksports have dominated its competitors in the past 3 years. they've been great on the PS2, PS3 and X360. and this year, its coming for the Wii and PSP as well. and i'm looking forward to see how it plays on the PSP.

  Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 - i've enjoyed the first ultimate alliance game even though i played the inferior version (that's the PS2 version). the story is great. gameplay is great. and it has tons of unlockables that gives the game its replay value. great heroes from the Marvel universe unite once again this year with Ultimate Alliance 2.

  Star Wars Clone Wars - Republic Heroes - how did this game end up on my list? well, i'm a Star Wars fan and i loved every episode of the clone wars series at cartoon network. and this game is like a prologue for the 2nd season.

  
  i think that's it for my most anticipated games. this next list will features games that i know will be great, but i'm not gonna buy this year.

  let's get started.

  Forza 3, Halo 3 ODST, Gears of War 2 - All Fronts - alright. these games came from great series. why the hell am i passing up on them? its because i dont have an X360 yet and i don't have plans to buy one this year.

  The Conduit - i'm really impressed by the previews and gameplay videos. its the must play FPS for the Wii. what's the reason why i'm not gonna play this? same as above. i don't have a Wii yet and i don't have plans to buy one this year.

  Modern Warfare 2, Assassin's Creed 2, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, Wolfenstein, Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days - these are sequels to great games that came from their well established series. the reason i'm passing up on these titles is that i have never played their previous games from their respective series, and i feel that its already too late to catch up, plus i'm pre-occupied with my current games.

  Fight Night Round 4 - i love boxing but i'm more interested in MMA nowadays. and i'm not realy a fan of the Fight Night games. some people say that this is gonna be the best boxing sim. and it looks good on FullHD. i have tried the demo and it seems ok, but i don't have any interest in this game. i have tried Fight Night Round 2 on the PS2 before, but i couldn't get the hang of it. i think using the right analog stick to punch seems hard to me, so i never tried that game ever again.

  Madden 10 - madden has always been great. they have a few improvements every year. and this year, they have 2 athletes on the cover. cool, huh. i have enjoyed madden 07, 08, 09, and some old madden games for the PSOne. i think i've had enough of madden already that's why i'm gonna pass this year.

  GTA Chinatown Wars PSP - GTA games have always been great since GTA3. the only GTA game i played is San Andreas. i really enjoyed that game. i don't know what happend but after i finished san andreas, i just lost interest on the GTA series.

  King of Fighters XII - Playing the first Capcom vs SNK game got me into the KOF series. and the best KOF game i've played was KOF '98 because it features great characters. i know this game will be great but i'm gonna pass this year because i'm gonna be so caught up with Tekken 6 and Marvel vs Capcom 2.

  that's it for my list of games that i know will be great this year, but i'n not gonna buy. here's a game that i think will not do well.

  Tony Hawk Ride - i don't know. i just think that the price isn't right.

  Platinum trophy earned for Fallout 3. w00t!

  yup. i did it. i got mine after 77+ hours of fallout 3 game time and its my first playthrough. i know its easy and its not much to brag about, but hey that's what i've been up to lately.
