As most of you already know, a couple of weeks ago Nintendo added The Legend of Zelda: Majoras Mask as the Virtual Console's 300th game. I played Ocarina of Time on the N64 and loved it, but passed up Majoras Mask because it looked strange. But as it arrived on Virtual Console for only $10, and me being a big Zelda fan I couldnt resist and bought it. This happened not too long ago, and now that i've beat the game I've realized something: passing it up was a BIG mistake.

    http://www.360blog.org/wp-content/uploads/2009/05/nintendo-64-the-legend-of-zelda-majoras-mask.jpg

What you are looking at my friends, is a masterpiece. From the start I was a bit nervous about the whole time thing, but I realized what incredible things it actually did. The way Majoras Mask made characters just not seem so robotic unlike Ocarina of Time was pretty much all do the factor of time. People were at certain places at certain times and developed depending on what you did the day before or what not.

When I first realized this I was very impressed, but one thing that got me thinking was how different the game was compared to any other Zelda game. For one thing this is truly the one Zelda game where Link simply cant save everyone. He could save the Gorons and then return to day one to find that everything had been undone was very weird for not only Zelda, and game in general. Also, the game was pretty dark. With out going into spoilers let me just show you this:

Overall, Majoras Mask adds up to a very epic experience. Not my favorite Zelda game but definetely on of them. In short : best $10 spent ever.

I've been thinking about this a while after watching Nintendo's press conference. When I watched the debut trailer I was happy because it was MUCH better then the "vitality sensor" and all the other boring stuff in the conference. But while I was watching the trailer I couldnt help but notice that the game looked remarkably similar to the original, except with Yoshi.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Seriously take a look:

    (Super Mario Galaxy 2)

    (Super Mario Galaxy)

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I mean seriously. They honestly look pretty much identical apart from the addition of Yoshi. I played Super Mario Galaxy and I enjoyed it, and Super Mario Galaxy 2 will probably be good but....

I'm not too impressed with the trailer. Lets hope Nintendo mixes up the game from the original so it wont be confused for $50 worth of downloadable content.

Wow. I watched Microsofts Press Conference on 1UP because it was running very badly on Gamespot, and I have to say Microsoft had a great conference. Halo Recon looked pretty cool, Left For Dead 2, Splinter Cell Conviction(LOOKS AMAZING) and Natal... Idk about Natal but its a lot cooler then the PS3 thing

Now onto Nintendo's conference. I was very nervous because I didnt want it to fail as badly as last year and I wanted a new Zelda. it started off well with New Super Mario Bros. and then thats when they announced Wii Fit plus whhich is when I stopped caring. I watched them talk about it and then go on to the DS. (They showed a lot better DS games then Wii IMO) I almost died when I saw that fashion game . But what I only cared about was the Wii stuff. I had pretty much determined the conference was a complete disaster when Iwata talked about that Pulse monitor thing. but then they FINALLY started showing some good stuff SMG2 (which looked a lot like SMG) and the Metroid trailer was EPIC. But I was still disappointed with the conference.

Then later as you all know, Zelda Concept Art was passed around in Miyamoto's conference. I'm not very excited as well... I'll wait for a trailer or some screenshots before I get too hyped.

So yeah the other day I finally caught up with the rest of the Wii owners and got around to playing Super Mario Galaxy. It was an extremely fun game but the major flaw was that for people who didn't want to collect all the stars it was a very very short game. They could have added a lot more to add to the playing time. So after about 6 hours I was done with the game. So.. overall I was a bit disappointed with it because of such a low amount of playtime. Overall I'd probably give it a......

Wow seriously, I am having so much fun with Gears of War 2 right now its unbelievable. Possibly my favorite game this gen it is so freakin epic! I'm currently only on Act 2 but damn it is so addicting! I recommend it to anyone with a 360 you'll love it. How this wasn't even a contender for Gamespot's GOTY I have no idea. what really ticks me off is how it wasn't even a nominee for best 360 game of 08. Anyways I'll post more on this gem later.

    DON'T TAKE CANDY FROM STRANGERS

WTF? Ok I see your point to not take candy in case some perverted dude put something in it but seriously..WTF IS HALLOWEEN???! I mean don't get me wrong, it's fun and I'm all for it..but really lets get to the general concept: Kids knock on random peoples doors and ask absolute strangers from candy. I actually noticed this a long time ago just wondering what you guys thought.

Well have fun tonight and spray TP'rs with your hose

Wow, now I understand why this game is so amazingly popular and loved. I haven't gotten that far into it but it is AMAZING so far. With some good difficulty and excellent soundtrack I'm beginning to understand why some people pay this much for new copies of it.

Ok first of all, I know it says rumored but it is definetely confirmed that there is a new one in production. This may be old news but I got extremely excited becasue after just beating Twilight Princess I'm eagerly anticapating the next Zelda. Here's is a long article about what IGN thinks may change:

    http://wii.ign.com/articles/920/920705p1.html

What I think would be best for the series is some more difficulty. My hearts barely got touched and the boss fights were so easy they were pathetic. I don't think there was a single boss fight that didn't have health lying around and they were WAY to easy. What do you guys think would be the best change in the series?

P.S: I had to write this blog using Internet Explorer becasue Firefox doesn't allow cutting and pasting and geez I hate Internet Explorer! Maxes it like completely impossible to type and everything is so unresponsive! Just ranting a bit

Near where I live we have one of the largest street fairs ever! Every year they have all these stands set up and rides and stuff it's a lot of fun. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/West_Side_Nut_Club_Fall_Festival

(Wikipedia link for it) This year I went on the most amazing ride! It was scary as hell and I wasn't sure my bdy could take all the speed and excitement of the ride! Presenting...THE FERRIS WHEEL! No I'm just kidding.. it was actually called THE RING OF FIRE!!!!! It was an intense ride. It was just basically this loop where you would ride the loop in a little cart thing, kind of like the loop sonic always runs on. The normal ride around the loop wasn't too scary, but then when we ere upside down, the ride would stop for like 10seconds and it freaked us out. Overall, a very fun experience.

    #4: Getting the Dreamcast

Wow the Dreamcast was amazing and I loved it..unfortunately it came after the saturn and jupiter so it couldn't get out of the hole sega put it in.

    #3: Playing Ocarina of Time:

Still in my opinion the best game ever. The first time I played this was the first time I had ever played the best piece of Videogame work out there and showed Nintendo's amazing potential.

    #2: Getting the Wii:

See blog post titled: The Incredibly Epic Tale on How I Got my Wii and Brawl.

    #1: Brawl Select Screen

Everything I had been waiting for for years was sitting right in front of me with all the new characters was definitely the best moment in video game history for me.

I hope you guys liked my moments, I sure didn't like posting them

(I'll continue my favorite gaming moments soon)

Anyways, borrowed Zelda TP from my friend and so far I've been very satisfied. I've made it to the Arbiter Grounds and while it's not quite as good as OoT it is close. Being a wolf isn't as fun as being a human but at least I'm not a bunny

Yeah anyways, so far I'd give the game an...

    9.7! Yay...

I also got F-Zero GX for the Gamecube which is pretty fun..

I'll rap this up by saying Spore looks like a lot of fun and all I've played is the creature creator! Definetely on my PC wishlist and maybe even the Wii when it comes out..

    Adios

I had some bad video game moments and some good ones. Right now I'm gonna show you the top 10 best...

    #10: Brawl Dojo

Ever since Nintendo announced they would make an official Brawl website with updates ever weekday I was psyced. I checked EVERY update everyday and loved every bit it. It built up my hype for the game like madness.

    http://www.nwiizone.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/05/Super-Smash-Bros-Brawl-website.thumb.jpg

    #9: Getting My 360

What can I say? Getting a 360 with a load of games was pretty sweet. Also even better when upgraded with a gold membership on XBL.

    #8: Getting my Orange Box

Talk about a deal. With an amazing cast of games it was amazing playing them. The best game IMO, was Team Fortress 2 which I got to beta for .

    http://www.pcgame.com.my/images/1385.jpg

    #7: Playing Donkey Kong Country

One of the best games of all time with the lovely addition of Diddy Kong for the first time. It was an instant ****c.

    #6: Sonic Adventure

Probably my favorite game on the Dreamcast and also my favorite Sonic game of all time. It proved that Sonic could be successful with out stupid werewolf spin offs.

    http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/6/60/Sonic_Adventure.PNG

    #5: Guild Wars

The first and only good MMORPG I've ever played. It was easy and affordable to play because of the no monthly fees! Woo-hoo! The game relied on skill not luck as the level cap was Level.20.
