  obsessed with trophies

  Hi... I quess.

  I'm new to the whole "blogging scene" so bear with me.

  Ok here we go,

  For about half a year now I can call myself the proud owner of the Playstation 3, and I love it!

  Since I have a PS3 I am bound to get in contact with other people who have PS3's.

  In the commenting section underneath reviews, on forums and obviously online on my PS3.

  I been talking to these PS3 owners about pretty much anything regarding the PS3 also games, games and trophies.

  I have come to realise that a lot of people are "obsessed" with trophies.

  They buy games just because they can get easy trophies on them AND worst yet DON'T buy games that don't support the trophies system.

  Online I met someone who was interested into buying heavenly sword but before he was going to buy the game, he wanted to know if the game supported the "new" trophy system.

  I told him that it would probably not since the game is much older then the system but that he should get the game anyways since it's an amazing game with beautiful graphics, fun and interesting story and solid gameplay.

  He then replyed back to me "Yeah I know all of that but I don't buy any games that don't have trophies".

  That is justretarded!

  Another story is about a guy I know personally.

  He bought these PSN games, not that there is anything wrong with buying PSN games BUT he bought them because he could get easy trohpies on them.

  He told me "He Dave, you should get this game it's real easy to beat and got tons of trophies".

  I told him I didn't care about trophies at all and I thought it was insane to spend five to ten euro maybe even more, one a game for just the virtual trophies.

  Now, I'm ranting on about trophies making them seems like them came straight out of Pandora's box but that's not true either.

  I think trophies a great way of extending the gamplay of video games.

  They make you play the game again on a higher difficulty setting, try killing a boss under a certain amount of time, collecting various objects whatever.

  But I don't think trophies should make or break a game.

  Therefore my last words are:

  People you're obsessed with trophies!
