  Mass Effect has Landed

  Okay, picked it up on the cheap from from a friend who's PC wouldn't run it. But I've still got The Witcher, Gothic 3 and TR: Anniversary on the go. Add another game? I'm going to try and wait before playing it. Will be tough though :-)

  Gothic 3 v1.6 going strong

  Made it past Mora Sul where v1.5 choked in a big way. Really enjoying balancing favouratism between the 7 factions and the story line with Gothic 3 now that the bugs are pretty much all gone.

  All right, lets try again

  Why oh why do designers whimp out and wreck a game by putting boss levels in? I'm not talking about the tougher dude with the better smarts or the waves of enemies attacking whent he story makes sense. I'm talking about the useless "look the inane impossible solution on the internet" boss levels.

  You know the ones: do this repeatedly then at this exact right moment using this exact item do this followed by this then that using this then that immediately. It makes no sense, is frustrating and only indicates either that the game was designed for a console or the designers were lazy and pathetic. What, after 3 years of building this game, you couldn't spend 5 more minutes coming up with a complete story?

  I'm sorry, any game with retarded boss levels instantly looses a full point or more regardless of all the other brilliant work that went into a game. It's like having someone take you out for a beautiful day, a movie, the royal treatment, then feed you McDonalds for dinner. Yes, you know the word I'm looking for: it comes out of your rear.

  So lets see how long this post stays up. And yes I'm referring to TR:Anniversary
