  Future of consoles

  This is for my MIS class

  I believe that the future of consoles will all depend on the future of the internet. In the future the generation will have no idea what CD's were because of the streaming of the internet. All the future games will needed to be purchased via the console and people will never have in there possession a physical copy. All of this of course will depend on what kind of leaps and bounds are created with the speed of the internet and what it is limited too. I read a story just today that Comcast is going to put a cap on bandwidth which they said will only affect 1% of there subscriber base but what else will this lead too? If this becomes the norm we can expect the internet not to expand at the rate many had been hoping and expecting it too. The internet is huge bundle of lines that talk to each other that shouldn't be limited because some company has decided it doesn't want to upgrade its info structure thus hurting everyone else around it.
