So Giantbomb.com is about a week or so away from beta. Anyone and everyone can join in. All you have to do is email them at beta@giantbomb.com and then when the beta is ready to start they will send you the info you will need to join up.
Incase you don't know, Giantbomb.com is a videogame website that was started by Jeff Gerstmann and Ryan Davis. Since these two started this whole thing Brad Shoemaker and Vinny Caravella have joined the team. If you want an idea about how Giantbomb will look and work then check out http://www.comicvine.com/. This site was created by the same people who are working on Giantbomb and is really the kind of site that Jeff and Ryan have really wanted to do for the videogame community.
So don't forget, beta@giantbomb.com if you want to be there from the beginning.
So I'm still running along in GTA IV. Now, although I do have about 30 hrs put into the game about 6 of those hrs are multiplayer and the other 22 hrs is the story. I'm still very pleased with the game, there have been some pretty sweet missions in the past few hours and some decision making to be made. I feel that I'm just coming up on the halfway point of the story, so don't let the 40 % mislead you (64.9 % is the complete story), I've been doing alot of the extra stuff the past couple days. Speaking of extra, I've gained 145 gamer points so far. Which is pretty good considering that if you just play the story you will get anywhere from 120 to 150 points.
Well, thats it for now, I've got more GTA IV to play. Although I may interrupt that with some MLB 2K8...meh...maybe when I'm done with GTA IV. Until next time...
So I've put about 15 hrs into GTA IV in the three days that I've played so far. About 10 hrs is in the single player and the other 5 is online. I'm pretty happy with both so far. The story is better then even Vice City thus far. And there are so many OMG moments in the game and so many little touches that just make the game fantastic. Today, I shot one of the main characters in the face off a roof and his body flopped over and fell to the sidewalk below. Pretty sweet.
Online play has been much better then the I thought it would be. I've had a lot of fun with it, for the most part. Just like with any online game there are going to be people that are really annoying. I've encountered a few of those so far. Including one guy today who said, "You got fu*king lucky!" After I beat him 37 kills to 35. I then told him that it takes skill to get that many kills and he proceed to tell me that I "Suck d*ck!" and I then told him to stop being immature, its just a game.
But, once again, overall its a great game. I would give it a 4 out of 5. Until next time...
GTA IV comes out at midnight. I thought about going to my local Best Buy's midnight opening but I think I'll just wait and get it tomorrow morning. Honestly I don't feel like driving out there tonight. Hopefully I'll be able to get it at Best Buy cause if I do I'll be able to save about $30. But, if I can't I do have it on preorder at Game Crazy as a backup plan.
So anyone else getting if for the 360? Plan on trying out the multiplayer? I will be. Until next time....
So I went to Game Crazy today and preordered GTAIV. I'm not one to preorder everything I want to get. The only reason why I preordered GTAIV is because I want it on day one and I know that it may be hard to comeby. I just wanted to have the safety net. So anyone else getting the game? I can't wait to try out some of the multiplayer stuff.
And since I can tell people don't want to goto my personal blog I will still blog here. But, that doesn't mean you can't visit my personal blog anyways. Until next time....
