I went to see The Dark Knight tonight, and it was amazing. Here's my review for those who may be interested:

If Heath Ledger doesn't win the Best Actor award for this movie, something is seriously wrong. This is by far the best performance of the late Ledger's performance.

This movie wasn't all about Ledger's great performance as the Joker, the other performances were outstanding as well. We were once again thrown into Gotham city, which has seen a recent drop in gang related activities. Batman has been cleaning up the city, however the Joker has his own plans to bring a new $tyle of crime to Gotham.

Everything about this movie was top notch, from the acting to the special effects, and this movie is no doubt the biggest blockbuster hit of this summer. For the entire two and a half hours you will be hit by big moment after big moment, and you will surely enjoy Heath Ledger's amazing performance as the Joker. It would only make sense that the Joker is retired after this truly amazing performance.

CC Sabathia made his Milwaukee Brewers debut today and I was at the game. The stadium was rocking from his first start, and there were many standing ovations for our new pitcher. Sabathia didn't pitch great, however he battled and got through six innings with only two earned runs.

Over 42,000 fans showed up for the game, and prior to the Sabathia trade only 27,000 tickets had been sold. I guess Sabathia will be good for revenuein his remaining starts at Miller Park this season. The Brewers started the game with a bang in the bottom of the first with two singles by Rickie Weeks, and JJ Hardy, followed by a monster home run by Ryan Braun, who will be participating in the Home Run contest.

The Brewers closed it out with three shutout innings after Sabathia left in the 6th. We got some quality tailgating and beer drinking in before the game, which is always a necessity at a Brewers game.

On another note, the Cubs also made a big splash, trading for Rich Harden. However, the way the NL looks this year the Brewers will most likely only need to finish ahead of the Cardinals to grab the Wild Card spot from the NL. Should be a good battle with the Cubs and Cardinals for the rest of the season.
