PSP: Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops (Runner Up: Sega MegaDrive Collection)
PS3: The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (Runner Up: Resistance: FOM)
Wii: Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (Runner Up: Super Mario Galaxy)
Xbox 360: Mass Effect (Runner Up: Halo 3)
Next Time: My Top 10 games of the Year 2007.
I never thought i'd say this but i am actually enjoying the Online Multiplayer in Halo 3. I didn't really enjoy Halo 2's multiplayer or the Halo 3 Beta. So I never expected to enjoy this as much as i have. Also i have finished the fight and the Single player game is was great while it lasted.
So all i can now say is that i've finished the one trilogy. Now bring on Metroid Prime 3.
----------------------------------------------
Also i am planning to find out how to shut down the Sonic the Hedgehog Union. I've tried everything to boost it up but nothing really seems to work. So i might have to go to plan S.
Welcome to the first of my top 10 list each week i will adding a new top 10 list to my blog. First up is my Top Franchises of all time. This list is of my Personal Favorites and is purely Opinion, so I don't want people complaining that if haven't included Final Fantasy or anything like that.
So from 10 to 1 then:
10: Halo
One of my Favorite first person shooters. Great Graphics and thoughly enjoyable gameplay. Just a shame i thought Halo 2's multiplayer was rubbish. Can't wait for number 3 though, so i can't finally finish the fight.
9: Project Gotham Racing
I love a good racing and these are the best racing games i own. They are fast and really fun to play.
8: Tomb Raider
First PSone game i really enjoyed playing. My fav is Tomb Raider 3 (although i've never completed it). Its a shame the angel of darkness was awful, but Legend was a great return to form.I can't wait for them to start releasing the aniversary expansions on the Xbox 360.
7: Outrun
I really enjoy are good old fasioned arcade racer and Sega's Outrun series provides that. You can just imagine driving a Ferrari as along a costal road with a gorgeous girl sat beside you.
6: Super Mario
Now here's a challenge. I just can't seem to do Mario games and that what makes me come back for more because i know that the more i keep playing them the better i will get, until some day i might just beat Super Mario Bros 3.
5: Grand Theft Auto
They might not look like much but the Grand Theft Auto games are just simply brilliant. It's free roaming gameplay is just the thing to unwind after a hard day at work.
4: The Legend of Zelda
I didn't used to like these until i decided to take a chance on the Wind Waker. It drew me in which its cartoony world and blew me away with its deep gameplay. I'm now currently trying beat the SNES classic A Link to the Past.
3: Shenmue
Can you remember what happened on the day that the Snow Changed to Rain? Yu Suzuki epic has a place on this list because of the realism of its world and it great story (it just a shame that we will probably never see it finished...). I just can't seem to stop playing through this game every christmas.
2: Metroid
This was a franchise i hadn't even heard of until 2002 when Metroid Prime came out on the cube. There is so much to love about this series as it gives you a huge world to explore (I love games where you can explore) and gives you loads of great powerups to find.
1: Sonic the Hedgehog
There could only be one franchise to take the Top Spot on this list. Sonic the Hedgehog was the first game I ever played. Its Graphics, Musicand Speed blew me away. If there is one franchise that turned my into a gamer its this one.
Another payday has arrived and after all the trouble which we have had around here. I thought i treat myself to some new games:
The Best was probably Zelda for the Wii. Although this is confusing me as i have the Cube version as well and all the Maps are mirrored!
I also brought Scarface for my Wii. This game is great as well although the controls are tough to get used to at first.
I also brought Sonic Heroes and Shadow the Hedgehog on the cube. This is because i have them on the Xbox and i have now put that away so i have brought these to replace the Xbox versions. I would use the Xbox Versions on the 360 but the emulation for them is awful.
I also brought GTA: San Andreas and Crazy Taxi 3 on impulse.
However my best find is Sonic Chaos on the Game Gear, in a Box in mint conditionfor a fiver.
So thats it for now. I am planning to start working on the rules for the Sonic Union Officer Contest soon.

This is going to be another one of those rants.
In the Firing Line today is the PlayStation 3 or rather the European Playstation 3.
It still annoyes me a bit about as Sony Decided to take away the Emotion Engine away from our version of the PS3 and then STILL decided to keep the £425 price tag. As always we europeans are ripped off. Here in the UK we pay over £100 more than US and thats with one componant missing!
Another thing which has got my back up is the European PlayStation Store, which has nothing on it. I see updates for the US PlayStation Store every week, while ours just gathers dust. What happen to these PSone titles for the PSP we were told about? I know they have a few on the US version, but we have NONE.
I'm just glad the Microsoft treats it European Comsumer better than Sony Does!
END RANT
