  My Game of the Year 2009

  Well, here we are again! Honestly, it hasn't been much of a year in terms of great games for me. Some good stuff has been released here and there, but I think I've played a lot more rubbish than anything else this year. Luckily, there are still a handful of fantastic games out there and they're the ones that are awarded my games of the year!

  Tales of Hearts - Finished

  And boy was it a damn awesome game. I've played many Tales games before and this is definitely one of the best around. Definitely the best of the 2D ones. It certainly tested by Japanese language skills but I managed to get myself through and thoruoughly enjoy it. If you own a DS, like RPGs and are willing to play a game in Japanese then you absoloutely need to go and order a copy of this game! It's quite possibly the best one I've played this year!
  
  
  
  I'm not going to do a full review for it right now, but here's a little bit of information:
  
  -- Pros and Cons --
  + Amazing storyline that spans a world and its two moons. + Featuring some of the bext characters to grace a video game.
  + Terrific sound track with some really memorable themes.
  + First class voice acting. Most of the game is voice acted.
  + Around 50 hours to beat plus an extra dungeon and side quests.
  + Hugely succesful battle system with heaps of moves available that you can chain together.
  + Stunning 3d environments and great 2d character sprites.
  
  - When you're not on the world map, but walking on the roads, they basically all look the same.

  Gameplay: 10/10
  Graphics: 9.9/10
  Sound: 9.8/10
  Stroy: 9.8/10
  Value: 9.7/10
  Tilt: 9.9/10
  
  Overall: 9.86
  
  Is that enough to convicne you to buy it?

  My only question is what score to rate it on GameSpot. Should I round the 9.87 to 10? Or 9.5, because it's not quite perfect?
  
  Oh, and for those of you in the know, definitely get the Anime edition. Not the CG one.

  It's My Birthday Today!
