  music is my boyfriend

  I'm sure everyone has seen that atrocious iPhone commercial with the catchy song "music is my boyfriend, music is my best friend." No matter how opposed one might be to the iPhone or to the song, I have to agree that music IS my boyfriend. i love music, I love what music does for me, i love that music is forgiving and unconditional and will comfort me in times of need. Live music is what I survive on, i don't think i would exist if i weren't allowed to go to my favorite concerts and rock the f%!K out. Music enters my soul and invigorates my senses, shattering boredom and inspiring creativity, rebellion, excitement, and laughter. I am in love with quite a few bands, and this Saturday I will go to a concert put on by From Monument to Masses, one of the most progressive, soulful rock bands of this generation. They will inspire change and harness revolution.

  In three months, I will see Explosions in the Sky perform live in San Francisco. They are another phenomenal band that has stolen my heart, and I am forever a captivated fan destined to roam the earth only with their music as my soundtrack.

  Music is my lover, my great therapy, my passion, my pleasure, my sweet energy.
