Yearbook Of A Sunnydale Graduate

Its A Warzone Out There.... (Metal Gear Online)

METAL GEAR ONLINE.

Ok, Metal Gear 4, Amazing game, It has the jungle atmosphere of Snake Eater and the cool camo, The memories of Metal Gear on PSOne (relive the amazing snow sniper boss battle of Wolf!) Even rubbish Raiden from dodgy 2 redeems himself as a hero in this outing!

But... Metal Gear Online...Oh dear Konami, you haven't planned it very well...If you are playing with standard maps and one character, no probs. but try to enter the store for the Genome Pack expansion... Arrrghhh! They are limiting your IP for half hour purchase windows! argghh! Luckily I got through and bought my maps but konami servers have performed badly and the constant updates are frustrating. Anyone else had trouble with MGO?

On the plus side its effin awesome game, Such a good online battle and with up to 16 players, a 8-a-side Team Deathmatch in the Middle East with Metal Gear game physics...! so cool....and even a few dust storms whip up!

I've completed the game a couple of times but get this... GTAIV even had to take a back seat for online! (ha who ever thought i'd love a online game so much??!!)

Anyway I've done my required 20hrs online gametime and reached Lv3 So i started a Clan! If you have MGSO join 7th Heaven (yes ripped from FFVII, but Private Military Company 7th Heaven sounds the sh** haha) I'm a handgun in the face type of guy and i have grunts, but I need snipers, so if you have MGSO (having gene expansion plus will help) look-up dja_XII / (clan) 7th Heaven and lets kick some PMC booty!

10 Best Bits Of Liberty City...So Far

***SPOILERS***

My 10 Best Bits..So Far.. in no real order

1) Ricky Gervais all animated performing part of his hilarious stand-up on your safehouse TV!
2) Iggy Pop & Juliette Lewis as radio DJ's
3) A pedestrian of a just-jacked-car hanging onto the the car door handle as you floor it down the highway. (pull a handbrake turn and see him/her roll up the road under another cars wheels for extra sadistic fun!)
4) Algonquin skyline at night from anywhere in Broker
5) Paintscrapes on your car for little knocks, larger dents for bigger impacts, bullet holes in the right places on your car, front windscreen included
6) Whistling for a cab and when it came near the licence plate said fresh and it had dice the mirror... anyway, being a passenger for a while makes it fun to just look around.
7) Q-Lazzarus Goodbye Horses on 97.8 Liberty City Rock Radio, I thought I'd only ever hear this amazing tune on Silence Of The Lambs & Clerks 2! (This is best listened to whilst driving a rusty beaten old car over the Broker Bridge late at night...after Michelle has dumped your ass!)
8.) The Triangle Club & Split Sides.
9) Calling 948-555-0100 from your mobile and getting track name and artist via text (Very handy for itunes downloads of 5x5 tunes not known before) Also call 911 for one of 3 main emergency services to come to your position
10) Going to the irish bar with Roman at 2am and getting very, very drunk. Don't try to drive though if the cops are about.
11) and 1 more, Every, dam, thing about Little Jacob. GTA 5 should have Little Jacob as the main character and Tuff Gong as the main radio station. (By the way check out Jacob on the Police onboard computer, It gives you his rap sheet, BTW thats another thing, the Police computer for seeing characters wanted sheets!)

And those of you with GTA IV your best bits are.?

Annoyance & Excitement!

Lets get tannoyance out the way first,

To all you who play Gran Turismo 5 Prologue Online, This game is about real driving, personal car of choice against other's favourites, out-braking & slip-streaming, knowing the lines of a track...so why oh why do you P.I.T at every opportunity, and generally drive like a bulldozer instead of a strategic driver with a beautifully tuned italian curved beauty?... If i had wanted Burnout style play i would've bought burnout.. or played destruction derby.

Oh Double annoyed.. Why can't I get my MGS Online Beta to work?

Anyway..
Excitement cause GTA IV is out on Tuesday....Whooo! I've pretty much cained Oblivion now and with no downloadable content on PS3 (someone needs to sort that out straight away) I guess thats it for Cyrodill. But Tuesday 29th April GTA IV lands. This is it kids, what the PS3 needs. And it reaches us in just a few short days, Well I've managed to blag Tuesday off work & something tells me I may have poorly tummy for the rest of the week and will have to call in sick.. Like the PS3 Network website says 'There simply isn't room to go into every new innovation and gameplay feature that GTA IV has managed to cram onto a single Bluray' [Hang on..Blurays are HUUUGGEE!] 'All you need to know is that it is not an overstatement to call GTA IV one of the best games of all time'... i have loved GTA since the first 11 Years ago.. On Tuesday things in PS3 World are gonna get good....and my social life will suck...But that will only last a short spell cause....

Oh Double excited.. In just over 3 weeks I'm on holiday.. To Canada!

OH and quick question, taking my 6 yr old niece shopping in the city tomorrow, she has a DS what game do i buy her?

PS3 Online
It's official, A one time non believer in online gaming, I have been converted thanks to my PS3! My PC went wrong a little while ago so I have been using my PS3 for web browsing and also online games (I'm having to use my PS3 to write this). So really this is a shout to anyone who has Tekken Online, Tony Hawks or the amazingly addictive downloadable High Stakes Poker, PS3 user name is djaXII

Enough With The FPS!!!

Rant Start...

Why do i have to endure months of FPS releases on New Consoles. I am getting sick of new releases being First person shooters, PS3 just seems to be constant Guns And Blasters, Where are the AAA RPG titles? Some good driving games? A beautiful in depth rd person Action Adventure?

All I see on Ps3 is. COD (FPS) Resistance FoM (FPS) Haze (FPS) Jehrico (FPS) GRAW 2 (FPS) Rainbow 6 Vegas (FPS) The Darkness (FPS) F.E.A.R (FPS)

I've had my PS3 for months now and all I own is Oblivion (although possibly the greatest game ever cause of the 3rd person option, Its still a FPS) I have money to spend, but i want decent games!
GTA IV is delayed, Final Fantasy XIII is months off and Folklore is a little Pooh. Please please will someone do a decent title worthy of Ps3 that isn't a FPS or EA sports game!

End Rant/

In Other news..My non Game-playing Girlie friend has become obsessed with Final Fantasy XII, I gave her my PS2 when i got the PS3 and hoped she would get into FF, She has in a big way and I can have great conversations about hit points and gambits for hours! She's About 80/90hrs in so far and doing better than me!

Well, thats about it, I've been working my bum off, playing oblivion constantly and watching many new films & DVD's (Most recent purchase was all 6 seasons of Soprano's on DVD-) Oh by the way anyone else think Heroes is one of the greatest things on TV??!!

Anyways Take care Guys & Gals & Have a good Friday & Weekend!

I've Been Leading A Double Life....

Hallo!
I haven't been here for a while so i thought it's time to drop by and say Hi.

So where has Andy been? As the title says I have been leading a dual life. By day I go to work, see my g/f and be Andy but evenings and weekends I am a Wood-Elf skilled in dark arts and excellent bow-Skills, currently on a pilgrimage for the Knights of the Nine! Yes Oblivion has totally taken over me.

You guys & gals that know me, know i hate First-Person games but Oblivion has made me re-think 25 years of gaming preference! Although there is the option of playing in 3rd person which I love i find myself 90% of the time in 1st Person and really getting into it. Also this game has such depth and so many things to do its takes hours just to do small tasks (Like arranging piles of books by the fireplace in my house )

Anyways This obsession with Oblivion has been heightened by the fact that I invested in a LCD HDTV too, I was playing it on a 14" portable TV but i decided this was an insult to my beautiful PS3 so I worked hard, stayed in, saved up & now i have a HDTV! Its not a huge one its only 20" but thats big enough for my little room and the distance i sit from the screen (Oh, I also wear glasses now so its EVEN clearer! hahaha)

Well, thats about it, Thats all i've been up too recently, nothing to exciting but i do miss friends on here i don't speak to enough.

So to my friends on here (you know who you are) if you use Myspace (Is that still hated) I can be found on there (myspace.com/angel1212) and I use msn often so say Hallo on there (dja8721@gmail.com for msn) It would be great to catch up with you guys & gals!

Well Thats all, Have a great weekend whatever you get up too!

(Oh, and PS to those people who have PM'ed me asking about the req's for the Biological Warfare Emblem, To get it you have too....Well if I told you it wouldn't be any fun would it!)

Burnout Paradise (X360)

This is an easy way to get the million point stunt run achievement, if you follow the path I take it's pretty hard to mess the route up after a practice run or two. It's not spectacular but I hope it helps a few of you.

The opening to the original Kingdom Hearts, a game everyone should play. If this doesn't intrigue you enough to pick it up, I don't know what will.
