Well, it's been like 18 months since I updated this thing but anyway...
Been busy doing my research on some sci-fi TV shows recently and have just this week purchased some ST:TNG & Babylon 5 dvds.
I've also been busy reviewing both Family Guy and Star Trek TOS recently, and have worked up a 2/day routine of TOS reviews. Quite a bit more productive than my previous average of 1 every 60 days!
Been really getting into South Park too, season 11 so far has been fantastic! And of course, my favourite TV show, Battlestar Galactica, will be airing in around 6 months for it's final season. Before that though is the 2 hour special 'Razor', which I could actually download now... but I'm just going to wait until it comes out on DVD, which I'll buy along with season 3.

Why do some people insist on coming into team-games in CoD2 and jumping around or going up each other's arses to find 'glitches in the game'. At LEAST go into a normal Deathmatch where nobody else but yourself is affected by your pathetic obsession. **** retards.- Posted Apr 26, 2006 3:50 pm PT

So I've been quite busy in the old gaming depart lately, doing a lot of reviews on numerous games for the past month. They included Ultimate Spider-Man, Batman Begins, Grim Fandango, Doom 3 & King Kong, and I still have Battlefield 2 to write up.
I'd say my favourite game of the month has to be King Kong, I mean, I didn't rate it as high as Doom 3 or Battlefield but I sure did enjoy it.
I was jhoping that maybe I could get an Xbox 360 bu Christmas, turns out I was horribly wrong. It could even be Febuary before I get my hands on one. Very sad.

Yes! It's been a whole month since I last written in here! Hoorah! Here I am once again.
Well, it seems I've caught the RPG bug again, setting on a quest for RPGoodness. I'm going to collect all the best RPGs that have been either originaly or port released on the GB(C), GBA, PSX, PS2, Xbox, DS or PSP. Then of course, the next gen systems
Currently I'm playing Vagran Story, and although both the story and overall gameplay are absolutely brilliant so far... well, it's bloody complicated! Just to fight a particular type of enemy such as a Dragon you have to dissasemble some weapons, attach others to it, just to get the alignment right. Then you have the multiple attack & defence system that I'm still not sure about... you have to time everything perfecly in order to get anywhere in this game it seems. Precision is indeed the key... because well, minus the mediocre graphics, it is quite a precise game.
I'm still waiting on FF Origins coming in from Ebay... I just hope I havn't been fooled... I don't know wether or not to wait until I've finished VS anyway... I'll see
As for college, well, it has been busy recently. A lot of complicated matrices in maths, 300 solid pages (which include 40 off exercises) of DarkBASIC so far this month, a 1200 word report on Computing Institutions and their historical influence on society... Not to mention designing a first person shooter to be put into development later this year, and 2 outcome assessments in the next week.
Funny thing is though... I'm enjoying it!
I'm actually enjoying studying now, on average I dont at all mind doing say, 2-4hours study every night. It isn't so bad! Tonight I've got the night off however, and I'm going to get some serious Dragon & Zombie slaying done in Vagrant Story. So enough of this flolopping about, goodnight!

25Aug 05God, I was up till 8:30 this morning. I couldn't sleep, I mean, I tried & tried at 4:30 but I couldn't. Too much crap on my mind... I was totaly convinced I wasn't getting a place in college seeing as y'know, the course starts on Monday. So I sat up from 5:30 till 8:30 on CTRL-ALT-DEL which really relaxed me. I've now read 4 years worth of the guys comics. However, this afternoon when I got up at 3, Stow had replied to my e-mail (wow! 1 outta 2, not bad) & told me to bring my qualifications & to go for an interview between 9:30 & 11:30. So things are looking slightly better than last night. Even if I don't get into the course, at least I can say I tried. Let's just hope he doesn't notice my D from computing this year and just focuses on my C from last year... Heh.Anyway, Leeanne will he here soon. Adios.

Bastards! ****ing FedEX! They might have had the decency to warn me that I'd get a £19 'VAT & Admissions Fee' when they delivered the PSP to my door. I mean, what the **** am I meant to do now. I have about £4.50 in the bank and £2.50 cash... £7! So they'll just have to wait 2 weeks until I have their precious 19 bloody pounds. Final word: I hate FedEX. Capitalist bastards.
Note: All in all my PSP actualy cost more now. Grand total of £182. +£2!!! Well at least I got mines 2 weeks early... £1 per week. Seems reasonable enough. Consider also that I have 2 games, a Crystal Sleeve Protector (that I'll never use, cause it's ****), A Screen Protector (also ****) & A Screen Cleaner (not bad, just a cloth thing)... it all comes to around £230. For what could cost you £250 on the market. 2 weeks early, £20 off. £10 off per week. Sounds better doesn't it

But still... ****ing FedEX.

21Aug 05I think I've nearly completed MGA first time round. I'm gunna play it some more tonight. A lot, probably. My high score in Lumines at the moment is around 45k although I'm not sure because I left it in Leeanne's tonight by accident! Argh! Anyway, last night there was some confusion about Microsoft's website containing criptic messages. It sounded like threats on London but I think it's been cleared up now. Heh. Yea, well, that's it I guess... I'm level 3.5 now! Yes!

So me being the dumb-ass I am, searched for a while, trying to find the Lumines artists & song title list. Only to realise that they were probably in the credits...
And yes they were. Only 4 real tracks in the game but from the 3 I've heard, they rule. I just hope Ubisoft bring out a soundtrack... now that would kick ass. Here's the 4 songs featured:
Mondo Grosso - Shinin'
Mondo Grosso - Shake ya body
Erl Nobuchika - I hear the music in my soul
Erl Nobuchika - LightsCurrent Lumines High Score: Well I've just realised something happened to my high score of about 60k... I am pissed off... looks like its 37k. >:[

19Aug 05Okay so, here I am! Gamespot.com member. Well, I've been a long-time observer really... Just havn't joined at all. I'm thinking of getting a membership thingy, sounds pretty good. Don't know if I'd use it that often but we shall see. I currently use the demon that is LiveJournal, so y'know, I'm testing this out... and who knows? Maybe I'll find some justice here. Here's to hoping I do!
