All About alosborne
I have always been a PC gamer. That is where my life as a gamer started. I still like PC games. Yes, I don't usually buy PC games anymore citing I have a PlayStation Portable and Xbox 360. The main reason I got a Xbox 360 was because of my issues with PC gaming.
My issues with PC gaming are these.
1) Will my PC run it?!
This is often a question asked at the store biting my nails over if I should buy it or not due to the fact that once I have opened it the return policy is no longer in effect. A game that doesn't run on your computer just wastes money, time, and space.
2) How Much Hard Drive Space does it need?!
Perhaps this is my biggest problem. Now matter how hard i try I simply can not fit all my games onto my hard drive and I even installed a second one. As everyone probably knows your hard drive goes to heck when you try to salvage it after uninstalling a game and leaving the game save data on the hard drive so when I install it again I don't have to play through the entire game again.
3) How Much Longer Before It Is Installed?!
This is yet another hassle connected with PC gaming. Some games take a very long amount of time before they are ready to play then you are recomended to restart your computer. Also, larger games require more than one disc meaning to finish the install faster you have to sit at the computer and watch the screenshots until the prompt for the next disc arrives.
So how can PC gaming be better? Well, you could buy an Aurora Value Gaming Desktop PC With ATI Crossfire which is the cheapest Alienware desktop priced at $799.
Or you could buy a comparable game console as I did for less. (Xbox 360 Pro, $299.99)
Even a Sony PlayStation 3 is less expensive. (80GB Sony PS3 $499.99)
My point is this, though PC gaming can be enjoyable it can also come with many hassles.
Here is my opinion, I want to know what you think.
The way I see it Gamestop rips people off when buying used games. Often times when trading in games you have to accumulate alot of games to equal the value of a new or fairly new game. I know and fully undrstand why they can not nor will not give you full value for a game because they need to make a profit not just make ends meet. Though having an Edge card helps a little (10% to be exact) I mainly use it when buying used games. So I have never traded in game simply because it takes so many trade ins to get a new game.
I know it is not the employee's fault or anything but I just wish that they would show us the dedication we (Gamestop customers) show to them.
Thanks for any comments.
Just want to give congrats to the Lakers for a great championship, Kobe Bryant, for getting his 4th ring, and Phil Jackson for becoming the first coach in NBA history to win 10 championships.
