Never Forget
His footsteps echoed against the cold battle grounds. He gazed into the setting sun and knew it was all over. Knew everything would change, and things would never be the same. A cold gust of wind brought him back to Earth and reminded him of the task at hand. He walked forward, approaching the desired spot. Dropping the roses to the ground, a single tear ran down his pale cheeks. Followed by another, and another, until he was forced to close his eyes to eaze the pain.
