    Come on Nintendo

So after watching the Nintendo Press Conference yesterday, I must admit it left a sour taste in my mouth. I mean their "new" thing is just a better controller for the Wii? I mean why not come out with that earlier? Then all they did was remake a whole bunch of Wii Sports games to use this new controller? Give me a freakin break. Any thoughts?

I don't know why I continue to give you money

I've been a Total Access Subscriber for a couple of years now and have realized that it's not all it claims to be. According to the Gamespot Membership Comparison Chart, Total Access Subscribers are supposed to have Exclusive Beta and Events, High Speed File & Movie Downloads, Gamespot Tournamates, and non-intrusive ads.

Recently I signed up for the Age of Conan Beta Event. It appears that anyone and everyone can sign up, luckily I received my code via email and will be participating Friday however a few of my fellow Total Access subs haven't received their code. From what I've read on forums it was done almost at random, I heard a few non-subs that were given access. Now Whether they were lying or not I do not know but Gamespot hasn't denied the fact that it wasn't random by signup.

I think that they should have reserved a certain amount of spots Just for Total Access subscribers. So let me break it down. 15k spots for beta. So 10k are reserved just for Total Access subscribers, and lets say that there are 15k Total Access subs that want beta. So randomly 10k Total Access subscribers are given access. Then the other 5k spots are open to everyone AND the rest of the Total Access subscribers are thrown in that pool too. So in a way they would have two chances to get in. Just my 2 cents.

However all of this could be because the people at Age of Conan didn't want to do that. However that doesn't let GS off the hook, they never seem to snag events just for TA subs. It seems like since we pay we get the shaft. The only thing TA subs seem to have exclusive right to are Tournaments and not all of us are into that.

Side note: I was downloading the beta and I got a max of 100kbs which is very poor Considering we are suppose to have "High-speed file & Video Downloads"

Final thoughts: Gamespot, get off your ass and snag some actual exclusive content for Total Access Subscribers. You seem to be giving us the shaft lately, stop sucking and give me a reason to sign up for total access next year.
