The Most Memorable Games I Have Played

Hello everybody. How are you doing?

I've been inactive for a while. I've become a very indefferent person lately, and I don't know why. Anyway, I missed you guys. It's been ages since I last posted a blog, so I thought it would be a good idea to post a new one. I'll get right down to the business. Here are the most memorable games I have played:

    10. WWF SmackDown! 2: Know Your Role (2001/PSOne)

I'm not a fan of WWE anymore, but I would still welcome a good WWE game with open arms. I have played several pro wrestling and mixed martial arts video games, but this one was definitly the best and it is one of my most memorable games of all time. It had a quite comprehensive and amusing career mode for a PSOne game at 2001.

    9. Deadly Premonition (2010/Xbox 360)

If you have played the first 30 minutes of Deadly Premonition and then threw it in the trash can, you did right! Unfortunately for you though, Deadly Premonition shows its true self right after its first 30 minutes. The true Deadly Premonition is a different and peculiar game. It's not a great game, but it's different (in a positive way). Clumsy shooting mechanics? Outdated graphics? Deadly Premonition has it. But Deadly Premonition tells a great and rich story that has a perfect set of deep and unique characters.

    8. Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars (1996/PSOne)

I used to be a fan of point-and-click adventure games, but not anymore - not because I've lost interest or something, but because these games practically don't exist now (except for independent projects). I'd be much obliged if you could recommend a couple of good adventure games. Anyway, this game is definitely the best adventure game I have ever played.

    7. Metal Gear Solid (1999/PSOne)

If Metal Gear Solid was a movie, it would become my most favorite movie! I used to play Metal Gear Solid eagerly just to get to the next cutscene! A perfect set of peculiar and unique characters, plus a great story full of twists and surprises, plus epic boss battles, plus highly cinematic and dramatic cutscenes, made this game one of the most memorable ones I have ever played.

    6. Digimon World 3 (2002/PSOne)

This game has recieved a 4.9 out of 10 from GameSpot, yet it is one of my favorites. I love turn-based roll-playing games, but I haven't played many of them. Whether it was my love for digimons, or the fact that I hadn't played many RPGs, or this game was really a good game after all (despite the 4.9), I'm not sure, but Digimon World 3 is my no. 6 most memorable game.

    5. The Walking Dead: The Game (2012/PC)

The Walking Dead was the first game that really made me cry! And it is the most recent entry among the others. Thank God I had the chance to play all the 5 episodes in one go, because I don't think I would be able to wait for the next episode to come out. But now I can't wait for season 2 to come out! Rest in peace, Lee Everett, you are always remembered.

    4. Red Dead Redemption (2010/Xbox 360)

Red Dead Redemption was the first game I played on my Xbox 360, and it is one of the best games I have ever played. It is of no use if I tell you for ages how great this game was. You wouldn't realize how great it was unless you have played it yourself, unless you have rode your horse in the wilderness and seen the sun set in the horizon...

    3. Batman: Arkham City (2011/Xbox 360)

Arkham City is a perfect game! You couldn't ask for more: great combats, great story, great characters, great voice acting, great graphics, great level design, great puzzles, epic boss battles - everything you could ask from a video game. Arkham City was a combination of all the great things. The only bad thing about it was that it was so short that I had to play through it twice in order to fully enjoy it!

    2. The Sims Series!

Seriously, I coudn't single out a specific Sims game. The Sims 2 and all its expansion packs, and The Sims 3, all of them have created some unforgettable memories for me.

    1. Harvest Moon: Back To Nature (2001/PSOne)

I had no doubt as to which game would take the no. 1 spot. Harvest Moon is definitely the most memorable game I have ever played. A happy farm full of happy animals in a small town full of ordinary but unique people - the gameplay was perfect enough, but what made Harvest Moon so unique was the town and its people. From the sad lonely woodcutter to the happy lively mayor, to the odd but kind pastor, to the seven little brothers in the wood, they were all full of life and had their own unique and interesting background stories. I really didn't play Harvest Moon, I lived in Harvest Moon, and with its people!

Sorry if it has gotten a bit too long. That is indeed a very strange set of games up there! I would really like to know what you think and what your memorable games are.

Thank you in advance for reading and commenting.

    Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day... valentines! Get it?! No?! Ahem... er... alright... um... how you doin'? Hope you're having fun!

I've become a level-17er! Yeah, I'm now a Minus World! Cool! I like it! Um... what exactly is a Minus World?!

My XBOX is at my brother's place. I want it back... NOW! It got Red Ring of Death'd today! I restarted it and, thank God, it worked again. Oh, what would I do without you, my dear XBOX?! Please, please don't leave me!

Got a pile of unfinished games, but I just can't stop playing FIFA 12!

Alright, just wanted to wish you a happy day, not just a Happy Valentine's Day!

    Thanks for reading/commenting.

    See ya 'round.

    Peace.

    Hello!

    Hey guys.

Um... it's me! It's been a while since I haven't blogged. I've been kind of inactive for a while. But I'm back... again! So... how have you been? I really missed you guys. And I missed GameSpot too. Ah, it's good to be back.

I have played and beat a couple of games while I wasn't around. I also got some new games that I have yet to play.

So... here's what went on (gamingly speaking!) since my last blog:

Games I have played or beat:

    6 Days a Sacrifice

A point-and-click adventure game made by a development team of one guy. The story's awesome, I didn't get much from it though! This game's a freeware, you can download it for free here if you're interested.

    Tekken 6

I have to admit I'm not a fan of the genre, but I really enjoyed Tekken 3. And this one's pretty much the same old Tekken 3... with better graphics! I liked the Scenario Mode though. The story was good enough for a fighting game. The character customization looked nice, but except for the items with special attributes you acquire during the Scenario Mode, it was pretty useless. I didn't enjoy it as much as I enjoyed Tekken 3. But all in all, the game was good. I gave it a 7.5.

    L.A. Noire

The game starts really good, then it gets awesome in the middle, but it gets terrible towards the end! That was what I thought of L.A. Noire.

    GTA IV

If you have played Red Dead Redemption... don't even think about this game!

GTA IV: Episodes From Liberty City

I liked the two DLCs much more than the original game.

    Gears of War

A friend of mine and I went co-op on this game. It wasn't my type of game, but I enjoyed it altogether.

    To the Moon

An independent point-and-click adventure game. Great story. Great music.

    The Sims 3: Pets

It's a Sims game that has pets in it! What more can I say? Something about it really bothered me though. I don't know why on earth EA thought that having total control over the pets, like the sims, would be a good idea!

    Devil May Cry 4

I'm not a fan of the series, neither am I a fan of the genre, but I really enjoyed this game.

    Enslaved: Odyssey to the West

I liked this game too, really enjoyed it.

    Dead Space 2

I did a blog on Dead Space 2 in which I said I didn't like this game. But forget about that blog! Dead Space 2 is one of the greatest games I've played recently.

    Deadly Premonition

I loved this game, but wait... approach this game (if you ever want to) with caution. You'll either love this game, or you'll hate this game. There's no third way, believe me!

Alright, the blog's getting too long. I'll talk about the other games in future blogs.

    Alright, see ya!
