http://wii.ign.com/articles/890/890276p1.html claims that Miyamoto said "The thing that's difficult is that, as you know, the way we handle our announcement is we work on product and once the product is at a state where we feel it's ready to show to people, then that's when we're willing to talk about it. Which is why it's difficult for me to talk about different projects in interviews." Unless the game is near finished, it won't be announced. (maybe Brawl scared them out of promises)
Proof to back up this statement? Look at the release dates of the announced games.
- Animal Crossing City Folk: November 16, 2008 (four months!)
- Mii Music: Q4 2008
- Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party: November 2008
- Star Wars The Clone Wars: November 2008
- Spore Creatures: September 7, 2008
- Grand Theft Auto Chinatown Wars: Q4 2008
Notice how none of these games are slated for a 2009 release (or if I do understand Q4 2008 incorrectly, no later than March 2009). The only counter example was Wii Sports Resort will be released "globally next spring" as stated in the E3 Pres Conference, and those few TBA released dates.
I'll just generally yell at those complaining about Nintendo's E3 conference; Nintendo's conference wanted to announce concepts (using the DS to get baseball scores and stats. (I like it), Wii Speak (AC was only announced to accompany it), NON-COMPETITIVE GAMING (Wii Music > Guitar Hero instantly because of this, IMO))
Being a leader requires obnoxiousness. Because of my inability to be obnoxious discreetly (or even obnoxious at all), I cannot be a good leader.
The biggest problem is I believe in "treat others how you would like to be treated". I hate invites. I occasionally get invited to something I'm interested in, but generally I don't. I have yelled at people I don't know who have invited my to their unions, even. For this, i don't like sending invites, or expect others to respond to invites.
The second problem is Telegrams. I generally feel that telegrams need to be more important than "There was an update today: Read about it!" Of course, others don't seem to feel this way, but I do...
The third problem is that I like a small community of members. While this doesn't relate directly to obnoxiousness, the less people that don't remember that they are in my union, the less they will get annoyed.
So, one fault that severly limits my ability to lead a union... Not that I'm giving them away. They will just never be great...
I have been an officer in the three unions I joined first and was the most active in; the two who have leaders who have been spotted in the last year have decided they don't want to lead a dead union that have given them to me. This includes the long-had Luigi Rules Union and the just obtained Mario ESPN Union.
and it's 93.97%, so it's been that way for a while. I wonder why I haven't noticed it earlier...
I remember that at one point, Gamespot checked the closing tags in posts, but apparently with the advent of the WSENG (or whatever it's called) editor, they've apparently stopped doing that. They still prevent closing tags with no opening tags, but I can now turn all of your replies green. I can make them bolded also if I wish, but I'll leave that to someone else. In-case you couldn't tell, I am not using the WSENG editor. Not that for most cases I wouldn't use the editor, but that adds closing tags to the end of everything, even when editing the HTML directly
.
I now deem those who are game over'd "ghosts". They are most certainty not alive, as they can't do anything, but they aren't dead either, since they are still in unions and still tracking people. When I was going through my contacts page to update friends (which I haven't done in an eon...) I counted no less than 5 ghosts. I know I found and removed three ghosts from TLRU's roster when I last went through it (there were less than 80; you can't claim I don't have a life)... I haven't counted anything else to tell of.
I do wonder how many ghosts are on the Emblem Union's rosters though...
