My Friends

~Unravel new horizons on my search for greater things~

  • 20Nov 09

Got myself a Wii today with basically nothing other than a point card. I borrowed Smash Bros from a relative but other than that my only other game for Wii is Majora's Mask which I bought.

So I was browsing through my games and found some stuff I nostalgiaed on pretty bad.

Luigi's Mansion- I didn't imagine this game could actually be so good but it really really was.

Super Mario Sunshine- My Favorite Mario game. I might beat this one all over again. 109 shines is the highest I got.

OoC, WW, TP(Zelda for those who are crazy)- I may very well beat all of these again.

Tales of Symphonia- This was one of the first RPG's I remember getting into since I never got far is Final Fantasy 7,8,or 9.

I would also play through Soul Caliber II but I don't see the point since I was somewhere around Lvl 87 and there is a lack of story mode.(or at least a deep one)

Paper Mario- I bought this game when it became player's choice because of all the hype and I never got very far. Probably give it a second chance.

    Anyway RECOMMEND SOME WII GAMEZSZSZSZSZ!!!

I already have my sights on

    Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn

    Mario Kart Wii

    Tales of Symphonia II

On a Side note. I Bought Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon for DS and sadly....a World of Warcraft Time card. I know you don't have to tell me. I was in the middle of playing Fire Emblem for the GBA(with Lyn & Roy's father(Eliwood)) but after a data erase problem I haven't really got back to it since I returned to the chapter I was at on a second play through.

I also beat Biker Mice from mars and got near to the end of Joe and Mac. I also got Marvel Ultimate alliance and I'm waiting for a buddy to come over so we can clear right through it, Spidey FTW. I also got to the third world in Kirby's Nightmare in Dream land. If anyone remember how to beat the cloud with spikes plz tell me, too lazy to look it up I guess. And lastly, I think, I got a tiny bit through Final Fantasy 5 which I may also play simply because it has a job ****system which I really like.

So yesterday while biking to work my PSP fell out of my pocket and hit the ground so hard that my battery(and it's cover), Memory stick and my power button all came off. Worst part is(luckily?) all I lost was my power button. I have the old PSP phat so that tiny silver button is basically gone unless I look around the area containing leaves, wood chips, grass, etc.

    I won't hold my breathe.

    Tales of Destiny

Anyway I've been playing tons of game, sorta. Let me just make a quick summary of the ones I've played

Tales of Destiny: C-l-a-s-s-i-c awesome, amazing, fantastic, wicked, RPG goodness + it's a Tales game. I may very well explore this whole series.

Megaman 1: Omg I suck. I get past the first 3 screen and then die. Is this game trial and error? Megaman games look so cool but I suck at everyone I've played, Halp!

    Jakie Chan GBA:

    Avatar GBA:

American Gladiators(NES): WHAT'S THE POINT OF BLOCKING IF YOUR JUST GOING TO KNOCK ME BACK!

Super Mario World: Outside Second Castle,

Twisted Metal 3: Doesn't work because of poor controls, which is too bad because this game is old school

Tomba: I never really played this one before a few days ago and it was fairly good. Now if I can figure out how to save...

Fire Emblem(GBA NES Remake): Mmmm I want to play this game, but all in good time. First 5 minutes impressed me.

Biker Mice from Mars: Going to beat this once more in my life time I swear. Childhood games FTW

    Final Fight 3: Meh

Battletoads ???: Absolute Rubbish as some UK people would say. If I wanted to mash two buttons I'd play a Ret Paladin or DK.

Aladdin (SNES): Actually pretty good. Might go back and play some more.

Earthworm Jim: I suck at it or it sucks idk, maybe both

Duck Doggers: Uhhhh terrible game. Game Editors Notes: Turn down running speed.

Super Metroid: My first 2D Metroid game. Interesting, I may play more

Contra: Pretty cool, I also may play more.

    Megaman

I'm still looking for game suggestions and I guess Gamespot has a PM notice thing now when someone talks to you so I can actually communicate on these blogs with commenter's fairly easily. Anyway I'm off..

I just bought a Ps3 since my 360 RROD on me and my warranty is up. Got boarderlands and I want to get Marvel Ultimate alliance.

But anyway I wanted to know some good PS1 games to play. I can't really think of anything other than Legend of Dragoon.

I have played Final Fantasy so that's not really something I want to revisit right now.

    So, what fun?

Decided to jump back into Gamespot with a list of some of my favorite albums, new and old that I found over the past year which I thought rocked.

    In no Particular Order

    #1

    Dethklok - Dethalbum I & II

I'm not much of a Death Metal Fan but these guys are great. The show only makes it better. Seen them live also and it was crazy.

Recommended Songs: HatredCopter, Awaken, Murmaider, Symmetry

    #2

    Airbourne - Runnin' Wild

They may sound like AC/DC but that's not a bad thing. These guys seriously rock. They have a new album coming out and it probably won't disappoint.

Recommended: Running Wild, Diamond in the Rough, Too much too young to fast.

    #3

Silverchair - Frogstomp, Neonball room, Freak Show

If these we're going to be numbered this would be number one. Pure awesome grunge. They still make music but now it sounds like Coldplay mixed with god knows what, but it's good for what it is. Silverchair is a mix somewhere between Nirvana and Pearl Jam slowly becoming more main stream pop. Their first album is amazing, the second is great, and their 3rd has a few gems as well.

Recommended: Tomorrow, Undecided, No association, The Closing, I could go on...

    #4

Stone Temple Pilots - Core, Purple

More grunge. Scott Weiland use to be the lead singer of Stone Temple Pilots before Velvet revolver. This band is pretty damn good and I'm glad they're back together. Hopefully more good tunes from them.

Recommended: Interstate Love song, Big Bang Baby, Creep, Superman Silvergun

    5#

Three Days Grace - One X, Life Starts Now, Debut Album

A really good band I sort of over looked for a long time. Tons of great song and their new album is also good. Not much else to say.

Recommended: Home, Gone forever, Animal I've Become, Never too late

    Honorable Mentions

    Paramore - Riot

    Metallica - Death Magnetic

    Sonata Arctica - Eplictica

Hammerfall - No Sacrifice, No Victory

    Everclear - Sparkle & Fade

Since I quit World of Warcraft I've had a lot of time on my hands and really want to shed some major pounds. So I have started to eat healthy and do some exerciser's. So far I've only lifted a few weights but in the coming days I want to add in more exercises.

Anyway I'll be posting my starting weight and keeping track of the progress in a weekly blog.

FYI: If your still playing World of Warcraft you should quit, seriously.

Other than that I downloaded Castle Crashers which was/is pretty fun although very very mashy. I also borrowed Left 4 Dead, Gear 2, & Prince of Persia, two of which I haven't even touched. Left 4 dead was cool in a way but it really needs to be played with other people otherwise it's just boring in my honest opinion.

Also I'm getting Xbox Live today(if everything goes according to plan) so if anyone wants to play through Gear 2, or Left 4 Dead, and especially Castle Crashers message me on XBL my gamer tag should be somewhere on my profile.

Also does anyone play Magic the Gathering? Just curious because me and my friends got back into it a few weeks ago and I just got some cards I ordered off Ebay today. Merfolk Rock!

    After 3 months I'm back...for 17 days anyway.

I had more account trouble. Every-time I tried to login I got this message about there being no email in th database. So I emailed for help and got the run around until today when I actually did something smart to get my account reconfirmed. Not sure if this site even had that a month ago.

Anyway...WORK! Woot. Well I now work day shift and I work actual full time hours. I booked a week off to play Wrath of the Lich King so lately I've just been zoned out waiting for my "Vacation". My Paladin I was working on it level 70 and "Kiriya" has been through Kara twice and I got some cool epic gear.

Hell since I last blogged I got my new Laptop, A new Desk, Office chair, and a 22' Monitor for my dual screen pleasure.

    What else....

Fable 2 is good...but short...I bought Naruto: Rise of Ninja, & Lego Star wars...a month ago and haven't played either of them...I did however play force unleashed a ton and it was amazing...Oh and I got a new cell phone the otherday...I also am reading Watchmen, One piece, Naruto, HxH, & Fairy Tail.

PM me so we can talk on MSN!!!!

I'll drop in much more often now

Work has been crazy. A bunch of people quit and we have new people coming in and I asked for more hours.

    General

My friend came down from B.C. and we went to Klondike days. The drive took about and hour and a half but find the fair grounds took 2 hours. When we finally got there we went on the Drop of Doom, Gravitron, Himalaya, and we were going to go on the Zipper but it broke down before we got on it, thank god. We seen the hypnotist there too and it was interesting and sort of weird but overall pretty cool. The Lemonade there rocked too. Once we got back we had some Jello shooters and some drinks which was a lot of fun.

    Gaming

Warcraft. But not that much, really.

    Anime/Manga

Fairy Tail is not all that amazing right now. Naruto is interesting. One Piece is amazing. Other than manga I caught up & finished Avatar: The Last Air Bender. This show is beyond expectations and I am probably going to buy it on DVD so I can re-watch it maybe take to over to a friends.

    Gaming

I missed the Nintendo Conference, Had no interest in the Microsoft one but for some reason watched all of the Sony one. The entire thing was blah blah blah, game, blah blah blah, sports game, blah blah, God of War 3, blah, Stupid MMO Shooter.

They boosted about Sing Star and Buzz like they had some sort of relevance to the system. Those games aren't targeted to anyone really at E3 because they gamer not casuals. Little Big Planet looks I mean interesting but by no means does it make up for a sever lack of titles not to mention the that when I play a game I don't want to make it first. Resistance looks good though. I haven't played the first one but the second looked interesting and if the one for the PSP shapes up I might get that which in turn might influence a PS3 buy assuming the system starts to look up.

I have briefly read the Wii and Xbox page seeing basically nothing amazing. The only good thing I heard was that FF XIII is coming to the 360. I find it hilarious how all the fan boys clamour at the fat it's not on the PS3. QQ. If you want to see another Final Fantasy game then Square need to sell copies of the game. If you don't already have a 360 then chances are you ARE and fanboy, gratz.

By far the stupidest thing at E3 was everyone making a ********* version the the Mii's. It's the lamest thing to happen to gaming since that terrible ET game. Hooray let's go play with our Mii', 360 Dudes, and our PS3 Sims wannabe guys. I heart stupid junk.

Anyway on a more excited note I can now say that God of War III is my most anticipated game of 08-09 how ever long it takes to come out and if it comes down to it I will probably buy a PS3 against my better judgement but hopefully we see a Xbox 360 port because that people who play Xbox would probably enjoy God of War as well.

Yep. I use a separate email for my Gamespot account and I haven't logged into it for the past 90 days so it was deleted. So since the email didn't exist I couldn't log in. But all is well now. Time for some Bacon.

I read Maxim pretty much every month and each month they have a tiny article entitled "Bacon Porn" where they tell you about different Bacon flavored foods.

Dive into a Bowl of Bacon!

An edible bowl of bacon seems like a no brainer to our bacon brain trust. It's tastier than a taco salad shell or a bread bowl, and filling it with eggs and cheese is a perfect way to start your morning and stop your heart. Just wrap bacon around the bottom of a large muffin pan and bake until crisp. Not Hungry? Wear it as a hat!

    All Hail Chicken Fried Bacon!

"Everyone has to try it once" claims Frank Sodolak of Sodolak's Original Country Inn and inventor of these artery clogging delights. Just don't plan on being alive for a second helping. Before dropping them into the deep fryer, the cooks at Sodolak's in snook, Texas dip raw bacon into vat of chicken-fried steak batter. Kings would pay a fortune for this 1,500 calorie delicacy of six strips and a side of delicious ranch sauce or Gravy.

    The Maple Bacon Lollipop

How many Licks does it take to get to the center of this swinish sucker? We're not sure, as we've never been able to resist chomping on it within a few seconds to find out. Say this the makers of this porky pop: "The salty chunks of bacon make a delicious and unique counterpart to the subtle sweetness of the maple" and damn if they're not telling the truth.

Vodka + Bacon = Best Drink Ever

Our new hero's at the brownie points blog have come up with a recipe for bacon infused vodka that makes our hearts and livers skip a beat. Just drop three pieces of bacon in a mason jar filled with vodka and store in a dark place for three weeks . Then put it in the freezer and strain any chunks of fat. Viola! You have liquid gold. Our pals claim it's "Wonderful when mixed with date syrup for a sweet bacon cordial. "Screw that. Give us a shot glass and get out of our way!

    Tons of movies!

    Movies

So I first watch The Love Guru and I can honestly say I haven't Laughed out loud at a movie like this for a long time. This movie stars Jessica Alba hiring The Guru Pitka (Mike Myers) to help the Toronto maple Leafs star player get back with his wife so he can take his team to win the Stanley cup. Through all the Puns and dirty jokes I thought the movie was very well done and probably the best comedy this summer, but we'll see.

Next I watch Hancock. This movie stars Will Smith as Hancock the rough looking super hero with a nack for cause more harm then good. Although I enjoyed the movie the second half was not at all what I expected but still worth watching. Not much else I can say without spoiling it.

Lastly I watched Wanted. I vaguely remember wanting to watch this movie but I don't recall why. Still the story involves this guy name Westley Gibson and his boring life being turned upside down by "Fox" (Angeline Jolie) and finding out that his father was an assassin and he follows in his foot steps. Although the movie had good parts it doesn't really do it for me. Regardless the movie is still a good watch but the action isn't as cool as I would have hoped let alone amazing compared to Hancock because it's all so predictable, sorta.Good ending though.

    Anime/Manga

    I've been reading weeklies.

I also watch Batman: Gotham Knight. This was basically the Animatrix of Batman used to give some back story to the upcoming movie Dark Knight. Over all a pretty cool DVD and it also has some cool baddies such as Scarecrow(more traditional version), Deadshot, and Killer Croc.

    Happy Canada Day!

Work! Ha! I have a lot of complaints already so I'm not going to talk about it anymore unless it's truly worth mentioning. I've went out to "Town" and spent far to much money in the past two days but I'll get to that later.

    Games

I started to play Kingdom Heart 2 finally. I really like the idea, **** and general feel of th game but I just can't get into it. Which is a shame because I know when the next Kingdom hearts comes out I'm gonna be wanting to play it. Basically I feel like I'm missing out on a really good game.

Sunday I went to "Town" early in the morning after two hours of sleep buying some clothes, Breakfast, and Diablo 2. I was thinking of buying the battle chest initially but figured I better hold down on cash and bought D2 for only 19.99. I had it installed the next day but it wouldn't run because of some error. Apparently I needed to download the patch manually and then it worked.

So I went to sleep and when I was about to play Diablo 2 my brother comes in my room and says "I'm going to buy a WoW Card, you coming?". We went to Eb Games and I decided to buy Guild Wars and Pre Order Wrath of the Lich King. I got home installed Guild Wars and played for 7 hours straight and sort of lost track of time. It's actually a really good game and every ****get's to have a sub **** If you have the means check it out because it's Free to play. Me and AaronMullan are going to play some D2 later today also.

    Anime/Manga

So there was this girl at work who we'll call Britney Spears. She apparently was going to ask me out but now she into some other guy or something. All I can say is Thank god. I don't want to be put in the awkward situation of saying no to her because we have Nothing in common and shes not so good looking. I like my job and I don't want it to messed up. Other that that I hear she gets around.

    1. Ocarina of Time is my favorite game. I've played it countless times and collected 100 Gold Skulltulas and nearly every heart piece. But I can never seem to hunt down all the poe's for the last bottle.

    2. I got a Blue Gameboy color w/ Pokemon Gold for Christmas 2000 and had 4 badges in the first day of playing.

    3. I got caught by the cops once for playing with fire and grounded for like a month(seriously).

    4. I have 1 Brother, 3 Step-Brothers, and 1 Step-Sister.

    5. I hate Radishes.

    Gaming

I haven't been doing much other than playing some WoW. But I really want to know what is so damn great about MGS? I bought 2 a long time ago and never played it. Then I bought 3 and played for a hour or so. Maybe I'll go back and play one of them depending which one you guys recommend.

It can't hurt to play once a week, can it? I also played God of War 2 for about 3 hours today and I am now on the Last level.

Heck I bet a good chunk have been banned. That's just the way things go.

Work has be good up until today. This one guy quit and didn't bother to tell anyone so we were shorted one person most of the night. And when a rush hit we got the manager yelling "Hurry up back there this shouldn't take so long". That kind of **** does not make people move faster, it makes them pissed off and it's probably why that guy quit. No one likes to be yelled at when they are ALREADY doing their job. Tomorrow is going to be the same ****.

    Movies

I seen the Hulk a Few days ago and it was pretty good. It would be cool if the villain was more supernatural or at least more developed. I'm just saying that Abomination doesn't really have a reason to attack harmless people, just The Hulk. Then I seen A bit of the Futurama Movie(new one) and it was good from what I watched. Lastly I began to watch the Happening. Despite what I said before it is pretty good. I think Mark Wahlberg is a damn good actor. I also watched a documentary on Metal and it was really good. I'm looking forward to the follow up this summer.

After I watch the Hulk movie I went to Wikipedia and checked out all of the movies that Marvel was working on and there are so many. Firstly I want to mention X-men Origins: Wolverine starring Huge Jackman as Logan. This movie is going to be awesome because Gambit and Deadpool are going to be in it. Secondly is a The Avengers movie slated for 2011 featuring Ironman, Hulk, and from what I read Captain America. This is just going to be awesome because it combines bug names, big heros, for a sweet movie. Surely the villain is going to be something like...The Brood. The thing I don't approve of is Punisher: War Journal. The last Punisher movie was very well done and rebooting the series won't help one damn bit because all it's going to be is Bang, bang, boom, pew, pew. This my friends does not make an entire movie by any means.

    Anime & Manga

I watch all of Air and in the end I did not like it. The story starts off good because the main character is interesting(not to mention voice by Vic Mignogna.) But after about 6 episodes he mysteriously disappear and the whole show is one big soap opera that make me want to hurl. Next up is the Naruto Shippuuden Movie. This one was terribly boring and it made me realize that Naruto has gone too far and wouldn't have lost steam if it stopped before 80 some odd filler episodes. My "favorite" part was when Lee opened a few gates and still couldn't beat this one guy until he ate this chocolate medicine Guy gave him. While mocking it I shortened it down to "Chocolate Round House Kick" sorta like Chuck Norris but maybe better. Over the last week or so I've also caught up on my One Piece Manga, Fairy Tail, Hunter x Hunter (on hiatus now), and last night I read 25 Naruto chapter in an hour. The manga compared to the anime, still has so much good stuff but the fact that anime takes 10 times as long to come out and watch Im finding anime to be more and more less appealing.

I downloaded the Spore Creature Creator yesterday and had some fun. This small part of the game is so cool. You only get a few part for each category but you can make some cool things. I seen one guy who made a Hydralisk(Starcraft) and it looked just like it. So if you have the time, patients, and creativity you can make almost anything. Here are a few of mine.

Bulbasaur. I think it's awesome. He can shoot this poison out of his bulb.

Tigore: He's my favorite I've made so far.

I have few others but they are pretty ugly. My Sporpedia page is Hikaru99.

Link me to your creations. If you don't have the Demo you can get it here.

I got the Tagger king emblems. It's BA for sure.

Oh yeah and I re-watched Haruhi Yesterday, Watched some Berserk, The First episode of Monster Rancher(Wow...just wow), And watch the first episode of Air. I think Air is the next anime I'm going to watch since it's dubbed and only a few episodes.
