Wood200's Journal

I'm maybe an old fuddy-duddy, but television just isn't as entertaining as it was in the 1960s and 70s. Reality shows are a real turn-off for me. I want to be amused by professional entertainers. Occasionally old American TV one-off plays like the David Niven Theatre presently being shown on Performance satisfy my need for good, short-story drama, as did the Dick Powell Theatre. Good drama also came with the TV Westerns - Maverick, Cheyenne, Bronco, Bonanza, etc. but, apart from Bonanza, these are not being shown on TV at all. These Warner Brother productions were highly entertaining and should be repeated to a generation who have never seen them.
