Michael Scofield & Sara Tancredi
Michael is a structural engineer whose brother is being wrongly accused of murder and has been sentenced to death on the electric chair. Sara is a doctor who works at the infirmary of Fox River Penitentiary, the prison in which Michael's brother is being held.

Michael, having been involved in the designing of Fox River a couple of years back, masterminded a plan to get into jail and then break himself and his brother out of it. The exit point was the infirmary. So part of Michaels plan was to be able to spend as much time as he could in the infirmary so that he could rot one of the pipes and then go out the window, across a wire and behind the wall. With that purpose he made everybody think that he had Type 1 diabetes and had to get a daily insulin shot.



And so that's how it all started. Before Michael knew he started to develop feeling for the girl doctor, Sara, who would give him his daily shot. Those feeling were reciprocated, by the way. They would constantly flirt and say cute things to each other, it was adorable to watch!

One day, as part of Michael's plan, he had to sabotage the prison's AC to create a lock-down and avoid the daily count, which was putting him behind schedule. But the attempt backfired and the heat made the cons very mad and their anger turned into a full on riot!!! Some cons that were by the infirmary, where attempting to get in and hurt Sara. Michael saw that this was going on and left everything and went to her rescue! And then Sara didn't want to leave Michel behind, he had to remind her that he was one of the bad guys. It was adorable.



This other time, when Michael's wife came to visit (not a real wife, it was more a business arrangement than it was a marriage) Sara saw her as she was walking out of the conjugal room with Michael, and she just had this look on her face, like pure sadness. And then she went after Michael when he was chilling in the yard, and she flipped out on him. She was kind of mean to him but it was still sweet because you knew that she was just so jealous thinking that he had just finished having sex with some girl!! That was a classic.



Well this is the best part of the story so far. As part of the escape plan, Michael had to get the key to the infirmary from Sara (at this point he's totally fallen for her already right?) so he plans to take the keys from her pocket without she noticing, but he couldn't do it. He felt too bad about it, so what's plan B? A full on make out session!!!! What a beauty! He ends up telling her to wait for him, that it won't always be like that, and they touch each others faces, and kiss and it's just beautiful. But she ends up saying that they can't do this, and blah blah (typical tv chick!).



But of course it turns ugly.... Sara ends up realizing that Michael wanted the key and she, of course, believes that he was just kissing her for that reason (which isn't true because Michael really does love her and that's the only reason why he didn't take the key from her himself). She confronts him about it and he ends up telling her all about the escape. She realizes that she was part of the plan from the get-go and asks him if it was all an act. He answers with this heartbreaking line: At first, yes. I needed to be here. But then I wanted to be here. With you. And it kills me to know you'll never believe that. Well anyways, he ends up asking her to leave the door open so that he can break into the infirmary and out thought the window that night. She doesn't say yes or no, and just leaves.

She ends up doing it though and Michael escapes thanks to her! But she is quite bumped over the fact that, she thinks, Michael never really cared for her and that he was only using her. She's so sad that she goes to a bar to drink and then goes home and gets herself morfine shots, to the point where she has an overdose. Michael has no idea this has happened at this point.



Thank God, she recovers from the OD, only to find herself in a lot of trouble for having left the door open so that Michael could escape. While in the hospital though, she finds in her purse an origami swan that Michael has left there for her. It has a series of, apparently, meaningless dots, and a message that reads There is a plan to make all of this right!. So what does Michael mean by that?



In the mean time, Michael is too preocupied with not getting caught that he doesn't really have time think about Sara too much. But the first quiet moment he gets BANG! Sara comes to his mind, he's so down that his friend Sucre had to point out the obvious... That Michael had fallen for Sara.

Sara started going to Narcotics Anonimous meetings to defeat her addiction to morfine problem. A couple of days go by, and Michael hears about the OD Sara had and feels terribly guilty about it! He calls her, crying, and tells her that he's so sorry about what happened to her, and he tells her It was real. You and me, it's real. He also tells her that she is in danger and that there is a way that he can protect her, and that it is already in her posession. She didn't understand what he meant.



Over the next few days Sara got in the mail three more origami swans, with a combination of dots and numbers. She knew they were from Michael, but she didn't know what they meant. When she got the last one, however, she had just come home from finding her father dead in his house and she didn't pay too much attention to it.  However to her surprise she wasn't alone in the house.  There was a guy from the company there, ready to kill her and make it look like an overdoes.  She fought like hell though and was able to fool the guy and run out the fire escape.



While on the run though, she realizes she has no one to trust and that she must find Michael and find out what his "plan to make this right" is.  She takes out the Origami birds that Michael has been sending her and all of a sudden it occurs to her that maybe she's not looking at a phone number, but at phone letter combinations.  She then figures out the the bird have the message "Rendezvous Sundown Hot".  That doesn't make any sense to her and she remembers that there is one more bird that she left at her house, but since theirs no way she can ever go back there, she's screwed.  However she doesn't stop, and something she sees makes her think that maybe it's a Hotel.  So she calls and asks for the location a any Sundown Hotel.



She then chooses the one closest to the border in Gila, New Mexico and heads there.  Meanwhile Michael is on his way to Gila aswell.
