  Hurricane Katrina

  It has been a long time since I wrote in my journal, but since hurricane katrina has been ruining my hometown completely, I figured I would comment on the situation. My family evacuated to beaumont, texas to escape the deadly storm. Right now I'm staying in a Days Inn motel waiting till we can go back home. This Days Inn isn't a bad hotel, but I would rather be in a holiday inn or a ramada inn. I was only able to bring my dreamcast along for the ride, which sucks. The only games I have been playing are tennis 2k2 and capcom vs. snk 2 to pass the time. My ps2 and gamecube may end up broken from all the water flooding my town. CNN has been reporting that electricity may be out for 2 months!! If that is the case, I don't think I want to go back.

  Companies like Wal-mart and Lowe's have donated $1,000,000 each to help support victims of the hurricane. I would like to say thank you to those companies for doing such a good deed. I have been worried about my xbox 360 preorder lately. The gamestop I preordered the 360 from may have been flooded. If it has, I will have to contact the gamestop hq to find out what should I do.

  Earlier, the electricity went out in the whole hotel! Apparently, the hurricane was much stonger than I expected it to be. The best thing about this whole situation is that school in my area may be canceled for months. I'll probably graduate later than expected, but at least I get a nice vacation in return.

  Hopefully, all my louisiana friends like cesarbites are ok.

  I didn't know you liked the 360 in that sort of way.

  Throughout this whole summer, I've been doing the same old crap over and over again. Go to sleep at 4:00 am and wake up at 3:00 pm. I try to wake up a earlier, but since I'm so lazy, I fail over and over again. But when I finally awaken from my slumber, its gametime! I'll play my ps2 for a couple of hours, and then watch tv. I usually play my video games longer than a few hours, but I've become bored of them as of late. Hell, the boredom has become so great, I can hardly write this journal entry. You would usually read a much more interesting story by me, but unfortunately for you, I decided not to try too hard on this one. I also happened to read another "What are you going to do with your xbox 360 when you first get it?" thread today. First of all, this is a stupid topic. I've already seen this topic 25 or so times. Why do these a**holes continue to revive lame topics all the time? Are you too plain and generic of a person to come up with something original? Now this topic had some clever answers here and there, BUT there were also your responses that are supposed to be funny, but aren't such as "I'm gonna have sex with my 360!" You dumba**es! You're not even gonna have sex with s*** if you make stupid statements like that. Besides, how do you plan on making love to the 360? I know you have never made love to an NES or a ps2. What makes you think the 360 wants you inside it? Just buy the system, play the games, and try not to associate video games with sex anymore.

  By the way, Spartan Zero started this new union called "Initial Shooters". I've already joined and It looks pretty cool. I suggest joining this up-and-coming union if you like any types of shooter games.

  One last word: Congratulations to cesarbites for forming the "rollers and coasters union". I really like the fact you created something original. I didn't think I would ever see a union based on that topic!

  Who gives a damn about hd?

  Lately, I've been hanging out in the xbox 360 forums, because thats what I like doing with my life. Anyway, they had your usual topics such as " What is your most anticipated game?" or "Why doesn't sony take the ps3 and shove it!!!". The one topic that annoyed me the most was hd. I keep hearing the same question: "Will hd be ready at launch or be delayed?" Every time I hear this, two words pop up in my mind: SHUT UP!!! Seriously, do you really care if you get hd on your tv? You've been playing without hd for god knows how long and it never bothered you then, but then a little rumor slips through about hd and ya'll are all like "I must have hd! Its my essential lifeforce!!" The screen you already have is good enough. Whats the matter? The explosions on halo 2 are too pixelated for your tastes? Or has microsoft completely brainwashed you with all this hd rumor bull$%$%. Someone needs to ban this topic. If you're a real gamer, then it shouldn't matter whether John Doe down the street has a clearer screen or not. I'm getting my 360 this holiday season regardless if it comes with hd or not. You should do the same. So please, stop this nonsense about hd gaming. You're not better than anybody by having a clearer tv. Besides, if you do have an hdtv, then I'm coming for you especially on xbox live. It seems some people have forgotten the quote.....
