  My apartment is almost finished!!!

  For those of you who missed an earlier blog... my apartment is currently being renovated. All 3 rooms have been gutted out and redone from floors to ceiling. Last night I went to go check on it's progress and it looks amazing! The new electric, cable and phone wires are all installed, sheetrock is up and already painted. The next thing is the floors and bathroom which should only take another week.

  I miss my PS3 and my privacy! (I am staying with my parents until this is completed and they dont have HDTV so no PS3) Soon I will be able to move back in and throw a House Party! I know this is not game related but I wanted to share. (:

  There needs to be rules set for people who review Games on this site.

  I don't understand something... how can someone review a game when they have only played through 15 minutes of it? Or even give a bad/good rating when they haven't finished the game yet?

  I have seen so much of these types of reviews recently that something has to be done. I was looking to purchase a game and figured I would go on GS and see the player reviews. Where some where great and the player put in a lot of effort, some where downright pointless reviews. I even saw one player write "This is the worst game I have ever played, and I just started it" How can it be that bad if you only just started? Also, "The gameplay and story is boring and I am hoping thatthe game ends soon as I have wasted 2 hours" 2 hours??? Really?? You can base a game on only playing it for 2 hours? A RPG no less? RPG games take on average 20-40 hours to complete and most have storylines that dont pick up until the 10th hour or so.

  The funny part is that I have seen reviews of players saying that after playing the first level: "This is the greatest game ever!" or "This is the game of the year!" Umm, maybe you should play all the levels because there might be a point in time where you can't pass a mission or a Boss and now you hate the game or realize it's not as good as you thought. Possibly, there might be something later in the game where you change your mind and say: "This is stupid". However, you already reviewed the game as "the grestest ever".

  Personally, I never review a game until I have at least completed the main storyline. This way I can accurately judge the whole game from beginning to end. I will know if the story was good or not based on having a beginning, middle and a climax. How else can you judge a story if you dont know how it builds to an ending? Plus, if I don't play the optional side quests, I will say that in my review. I have seen reviews that claim "The side quests were pointless so I didn't do any of them" "Side quests weren't any fun so I only did 2 or 3" My opinion is, if you didn't do all the side quests, how can you say they are pointless or boring? What if later on in the game, and this has been the case at times, the side quests are what provides the strongest weapons or items? Or they enhance the story with special cut-scenes? The player wouldn't know because they never did them. But they have the nerve to tell other players who are truely interested in possibly playing the game, that they shouldn't bother.

  I am not saying that if you dont like a game not to review it, in fact I welcome both positive and negative reviews. All I am saying is that if you are going to take the time to review a game, please play the game first, to completion. Give an accurate review of your opinion of the game in full. If for any reason, after 10 minutes, you decide this game isn't for you, then just provide a number rating without a pointless review that makes the player look ignorant.

  When I check out a game to see other players opinions, I just would like to see a full honest review. GS really needs to delete all the reviews that do not really review the game. Leave the well thought out reviews that give a true insight on the game from a player who has played the game till the end. Who can give his/her honest opinion on the story, gameplay and even graphics.

  Blog Post #100!!!

  Nothing really special about this blog except for the fact that is my 100th on Gamespot. I would assume it's a milestone for me because I do not blog as much as most people.

  I saw the blog that someone did about people who rate and review games when they only played 5 minutes of it and I totally agree with that statement. Maybe later I will express my feelings on that subject in a separate blog. I just finished Enchated Arms RPG for Xbox360 and that was the funniest game I have ever played. The ending had me rolling on the floor.

  Now I am playing an ld school PS2 RPG called Ar Tonelico and I am really liking it. Although I think it was made for boys between the ages of 12-17 because of all the sexual inuendos that would make a school boy giggle.
