    Gaming: a $60+ experience?

Now i'm not one to complain much, heck I don't really have much to complain about. But the prices of videogames? There just getting outrageous. For a long time games have been $60 and people have probably gotten used to it. But with the next gen systems games supposedly supposed to be made at around 40 million(?) the price will almost undoubtedly go up from $60, to arm and a leg. I have always been the type that chooses quality over quanity, its just who I am but, this new stuff just won't cut it. No, I wont stop gaming, but those devs better make the best freakin games possible if the prices go any higher than $60. At that point there wont be a hit-and-miss. It'll be hit what the public wants or else SLASH, your gone.

Of course some of these bigger corporations probably wont have to worry since they can diversify. In fact I think just about every company is trying to diversify. I dont know if this is an evolution in the business or what but when I see Square Enix making a 3rd person shooter, well you know there trying to make money somehow. Who knows really what the future might hold. Downloadable games are getting evermore popular, and there cheap(most of the time anyways). Maybe gaming will be phased out jk. But this is definitely a difficult time for everybody, and thats coming from a 15 year old.

If anything fellow gamers I would expect less and less games to be developed for the next gen(when it gets here) ang this gen will be milked and milked til' theres nothing left. Still yet I expect this generation of consoles just might outlast the aging PS2 and -cough- -cough- xbox and gamecube. What the future holds may be vey exciting, a real revolution in the way we play videogames.

My final statement is this: Since videogames are going to be way more expensive to produce in the future, developers will probably try to innovate and get the most out of this generation. That and the next generation will probably HAVE to sell well, or elso a lot of developers are gonna go outta business or be bought and consumed by the bigger corps.

    The Big Three

Its been a while since i've posted a blog, so i'll get straight to the point. 2008 is going out in style, with AAA quality games coming out, its hard not to be excited, despite the failing economy in the US. In particular there are three games i'm getting before christmas that are going to be awesome(yes, its guranteed they'll be awesome )

    The three are...

    1.Far Cry 2 2.Fallout 3 3.Tom clanceys Endwar.

Three unique games that are going to be sweet. In case you've never heard of Far Cry, its an FPS that takes place in Africa. The number one factor i'm getting it is because its gonna have an awesome map editor. I mean come on, who doesnt love to spend hours creating a virtual paradise?(... dont awnser that)

Fallout 3 is gonna be awesome because of the gore factor. I've been following this game closesly for a pretty long period. When I first heard about it I wasnt that interested, until I heard it was being made by Bethesda. I know anyone that makes Oblivion's got my trust. Anyways, he day I opened my eyes on Fallout 3 whas when I was watching the E3 coverage on G4. They had a special on it and was showing the gameplay engine. Lets just say that Todd wanted to show Adam a special treat. Todd pulled out a weapon called the rock-it launcher and said it could fire virtually anything, with anything being trash. Well Todd went into VATS and aimed it at a raider, when he shot it a teddy bear(yes, a friggin teddy bear!) went flying into that guy and blew him into chunks. Needless to say, that game is gonna be awesome!

If you havent follwed Endwar, its basically an RTS that you control with your voice! It gets rid of all the Resource gathering crap and gets straight to the war. I've gotta say, its one strategy game that may actually require strategy!

But, I GTG, gotta play Mass Effect and try to get the Renegade achievement!!!

Currently playing... games full of BS.

Right now i'm currently playing Guilty Gear X2 #reload for the 360. I downloaded it and its a lot of fun, if not a little strange. I'm playing that and Fire Emblem: The sacred stones. Both of them are great, but there both full of BS .

Guilty Gear is well... very unique . Its a very colorful game and the soundtrack is cool, but this isnt a review so i'll just stick to personal opinions. My favorite character is Ky Kiske, he is something like Raiden from Mortal Kombat mixed with a justice loving swordsman. Google him, he's pretty cool. Although like I said before, this game is full of BS. Where its all in japanese I cant understand much of the battle dialogue, and the storyline for each character is confusing, but heck its from Japan, what can I expect. But it is a lot of BS. I'm playing it on normal and some people like friggin rape me(not literally). That and I dont know what the heck a EX Gold character is.

Fire Emblem: the sacred stones for the game boy advance, is an excellent game, but its full of a whole crap load of BS. I'm talkin you could probably fill the Grand Canyon with this games BS. If you wanna get my point i'll tell you a funny story. In this game if your units die, they go bye bye forever. In other words, make one mistake and your screwed. Now on to my story... I spent maybe an hour or two playing a single battle. I ended nearly every enemys life. There were two enemy generals in the battle, one had already been slain by my mage. So I figured i'd kill the other general and end his pathetic life. I gave my strongest soldier a dragonslayer lance because the guy I had to kill rides a dragon. Well I attack him and hit like a 32 or something and the guys max life was maybe 45. So the enemy general was near death, and I didnt want him that way, I wanted him dead. So I send another unit to attack the wounded general. I had a 70+ hit percentage and woulda done 20+ damage. He had like a 2 percent chance to hit a critical. Guess what happens. My guy attacks first. I miss and the enemy pulls out a BS attack and hits a critical. Whoops, my guy ends up enjoying a nice spot in heaven(or more likely in hell hehehe) By this time I was ready to chuck my controller(I had a game boy player) into the TV then use it to murder a helpless puppy.

Currently wish I could play... Supreme commander for the 360 or C&C3: Kanes Wrath for the 360. I'll probably get Supcom at the end of the week, if its in stores by then.
