  The PS3 - I love it.

  Thats not a typo. I LOVE the PS3.

  I dont want this to turn into some sort of flame post where I talk smack about the other consoles. So I wont even mention them.

  My PS3. I bought her on release day here in the UK. Everyone told me I was stupid, crazy or had more money than sense. Looking back perhaps I did. I bought it with Resistance and Motorstorm. Both of which I played and played and played some more. I soon got bored of these 2 games and looked for others - there werent any.
  I couldnt find a single game I wanted. It wasnt until the release of The Darkness that I started using her again. But..yet again, as soon as I had finished this game there was nothing..for a loooong time.
  
  I'm gonna skip up until today. I've now got 15 games for my PS3 and play on it every day. I also use it as a blu-ray player, a media centre to play movies and songs off my PC. I even use it to browse the internet from time to time. Its the ultimate peice of kit.
  And looking to the future..the immediate future looks amazing with Haze and GTA4 on the horizon. I got the MGO Beta yesterday and im hyped for monday when I can actually play it! And looking past the end of May...and into June we will see the arrival of MGS4. Oh baby...I wont talk about that since im at work and a change of trousers isnt really an option.

  I can see the PS3 doing really really well in the coming year and beyond.

  I dont know why I felt the need to share all this crap. Perhaps its because all my friends (except a couple) have other consoles and always "flame" me about the PS3. Perhap I feel insecure? haha Maybe Im just bored at work? Who knows.

  I'm back baby!

  Yes thats right. After about 3 months of not using Gamespot at all..I'm back in the mixer now.

  I've got a new PC and its so sexy. Crysis looks awesome (although I havent played it much). Cost too much to tell you all about without feeling stupid (over a £1000) :S But damn I think it was worth it...my new BenQ 24" monitor is t3h aw3s0me. lol.

  On the PS3 side of things I finnaly got Assasins Creed - which I think is total Garbage. And of course I got GT5 Prologue...which for a game that many people are calling a "demo" - its pretty damn good. I've put so many hours into it already andI'm not bored yet...I've nearly got enough money for the F1 car.

  I sold my Wii. I couldnt justify having a console there that I hadnt played for nigh on 3 months. So..off it went..and it took Scarface with it Never worry though..I bought it on PS2 the other day and I cant wait to get back stuck in to it lol. I bet its ten times more entertaining than the peice of garbage that is Assasins Creed...I'm so disapointed in that game, im glad I waited until it came down in price before buying it.

  
  
  I wish PC gaming was back at its best..I've bought this PC and I've played Crysis. I've ooh'd and aah'd at the graphic. But the whole gameplay side of things is pretty flat and boring. I might complete it just for the sake of getting some use out of my PC. But theres nothing out there that makes me WANT to play it. So I really dont know what to do. Give me suggestions on games people!

  Im actually tempted to install Max Payne 2. Just so I have something decent to play on.

  Over a month! And news aplenty.

  I Cant beleive its been over a month since I last made a blog post. In all fairness I havent been on Gamespot...or my PC much at all.
  I nipped on to vote for the whole GOTY thing. (still havent got my icon btw).
  
  For christmas I didnt get any games. Just Resident Evil Chronicles on the Wii, I still havent played it lol. I just cant be bothered with games anymore (never thought id say that!). i have been playing the PS1 resident evil, I felt that a bit of nostalgia would re-invoke my gamers instinct - it didnt.
  Still...its a top game, I love it.

  Last week I treated myself to an iPhone. Damn, this makes my old phone look like a total pile of turd. I just keep playing with it and going on the web using the wi-fi. Hot peice of kit!

  In my personal life, nothing much is happening. Infact, as I write this im being turned down by a girl lmfao. (no change there)
  Im totally broke after lending my parents some money. (no change there)
  
  So thats it. Hopefully ill get my ass back on the forums and be more active like I once was, its back to uni on monday though, Maybe the old routine will get my ass back into gear.
  
  Only time will tell.

  Month off looms closer

  Today I had my last Maths lecture of the semester at uni. It really hit it home to me that I have only get just over a week to get the rest of my assignments done and handed it. I really should get crackin'.
  But im not Im sat here blogging, and watching Milan v Celtic on tele! Id like to see Milan win and put Celtic out...but then I'd feel sorry for Celtic, they've done so well so far.

  And what the hell is going on with Gamespot. In almost a week my level percentage has not budged! Its been on 10.3% for ages...is anyone elses like this? Its doing my head in.

  
  In other news..I got Sky+ in my bedroom, this is too good. I'm able to record everything I see which I wouldnt normally be able to do. Last night I recorded Napoleon Dynamite, which I watched later on....and I just have to say "LOL!". This film is strange...but equally hilarious. I just have the urge to throw an orange at every van I see drive past.

  Half Life 2 = Best FPS ever?

  I've been playing this baby again recently...and I think it is! (title)
  
  Before anyone says anything...yes I have played...

  • CoD4
  • erm...anything else that might be good.

  There is no other game that actually sucks me in and makes me think about it when I arent playing. Crysis (i actually typed far cry then lol!), technically...is the best game ever made. But theres nothing else. I dont know the main character, I dont know or CARE about anyone else in the game...it just feels like you're walking around this huge island killing stuff.

  
  Fair enough..in Half Life 2 Gordon Freeman is a mute, and really we know nothing about him. But everyone else there who is meant to be a friend..feels like a friend, if they died I think I would actually be gutted! I cant actually give you a good reason why I love HL2 so much...can anyone help me out?

  42 Stars

  Damn. Theres 120 stars in Super Mario Galaxy?
  I've only got 42 and it feels like I've done a marathon already. 30% through the game and I still enjoy it although at the moment I've got a few galaxies open to me which I just cant wait to get out of the way.
  In other gaming news - I got Half Life 2 Episode One....FINALLY. I'm liking it so far. Sick of being in that swine citadel though! I cant wait to get out of there and into the city with some decent weapons!

  Champions League tonight...can't really be bothered to watch anything. Both Arsenal and Man Utd are both through so I've got nobody to root against. I'm watching Rangers get owned by Stuttgard. Hopeless they are.

  aaaand I'm just about to go out play football(soccer to the americano's). Football at half 9 at night in this weather...I must be crackers.

  Euro 2008

  Well well well what a supprise.

  As much as I thought England were a total waste of space, I never in a million years thought they'd lose at home to Croatia!
  At 2-0 down I thought England were done for, they never looked like scoring in the first half, and if anything..looked more likely to concede a 3rd or 4th.
  This continued in the 2nd half until Defoe's dive and Crouches goal. At 2-2 I thought "thats it, theyve done it now..oh well". But oh no... another sting in the tail for English fans...deary me. I couldnt beleive it really.

  My team Italy got through as winners of group B. When you look at Italy compared to England though, on a player to player basis...England seem by far the better team(except for Gattuso of course)...so how the hell it happened I dont know.

  At least I'll be able to enjoy a nice Euro2008 safe in the knowledge that nobody I know can take the michael out of me.

  A month has passed...

  Deary me, over a month has passed since my last entry. Alot has happened since too!

  The only significant gaming advances have been the addition to my collection of Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 and Super Mario Galaxy. Oh the joy...and heartache.

  Pro Evo 2008 has to be the biggest let down ever for me. I really hate it. After being a fan of the series from the PS1. Right through the PS2 and now onto the PS3...ive got to say that im gutted. This is the only one where I actually dont want to play it ever again. I cant quite put my finger on why though. Theres just something about the game that gets me so angry with it, its frustrates me to the point of exploding.

  Super Mario Galaxy on the other hand is quite the opposite. I just cant get enough of this game, and I cant even begin to describe every good thing about the game. So ill just go ahead and say that if you have a Wii...buy this game. And if you dont have a Wii....buy one!

  Even though im LOVING Super Mario Galaxy. I just find mself without the time to play it! Between that and Crysis (oh yeh I got that too), I just have no time at all. Uni sucks! I might quit and just play games all day lol!

  Wii-Tastic!

  I got myself a Wii a month or so ago. And its faaaaantastic! I love it. Ive got Scarface with it and its my most played game at the moment (alongside CoH)

  My favourite console of the last gen was the Gamecube (which im still buying games for), and to be honest....I think Wii could win this gen for me. Im hotly waiting for SM Galaxy and Metroid 3. Its gonna be a gooooood Christmas in my house

  Microsoft Madness

  Well, after my scathing letter which I sent to Microsoft I thought id never hear off them again.
  
  Until today...when they rung me.
  They offered me a free game, accessory and a replacement console. So I took Viva Pinata and a Wireless headset.

  I geuss we will have to see what happens regarding how good the new console is when they send it. But I am very supprised to be honest. I didnt think for one second that they would reply.

  At least thats gone a certain distance to stopping my negative vibes over the matter. Im still 50/50 though.

  Hum Drum Day

  Ah dear, today has been possibly the most boring day of my life.

  Ive just sat around doing NOTHING. I got home at 6am this morning and ive had about 2 hours sleep becuase of it, man im tired.

  Me writing this blog is just testament to how bored I am, because im just gonna blabber on incoherently for a while until I feel the need to stop.
  Also I've clicked that nobody actually cares lol. Since the only time I get comments are when I moan about Microsoft

  Does God hate me.......?

  ....Or are Microsoft really THAT bad?

  
  (Before you read this, please make sure that you have read my previous blog post) - Or else it wont make sense

  Right, here goes... As you know I recently got my 360 back from "repair" - The red ring problem was fixed, but the "connect" button on the console wasnt, so my wireless pads and wireless headset are useless. Anywho, I was all for selling my 360, or throwing it away or whatever.. But my mate persuaded me to keep it. Afterall I could use my wired pad.
  So I sent Microsoft a strongly worded letter explaining my disgust towards their crappy console and their shoddy peice of crap customer services.

  Once i'd done this I went online and ordered Bioshock. It came this morning. I put the game in (first game or DVD I've tried since I got my console back) and guess what...GUESS FU****G WHAT.....
  
  Havent geussed yet?......."unplayable disc"

  Now this is obviously bullcrap since its brand new. But just to be safe I turn the console off for a few minutes and try again with the same result. I then proceed to try every game I have. But now, instead of unplayable disc, it just refuses to acknowledge that theres even a disc in there....sigh.
  
  Well Microsoft, if you were a human or small animal i'd love to punch you in the face right about now. But youre a large multi-national conglomerate and i'm pretty much screwed.

  Get bent and die please. thanks.

  Anyone reading this who hasn't already got a X360, please dont buy one - it really isn't worth it.

  Microsoft - The last straw

  Yep, thats it...and i'll now explain. (warning:rant)
  

  Some of you may know that I got my Xbox 360 in December 2005 - Launch. Now, 1 week after I got it, I got the oh so famous red ring of death.

  "oh no", I thought.

  So I rang customer services, and they promptly picked up my console, got it repaired, and then sent back to me before Xmas.
  Fast forward until 2 months ago. The console broke...AGAIN.

  "piece of crap!", I thought.
  
  So I rang customer services, after a long wait on hold and a stupid conversation with some guy on the other end who could barely speak english (but I presume he cost less than a native speaker) they said that id get the console repaired for free under the new warranty. 1 week later the console gets picked up. 4 weeks after that (yesterday) i got the console back.

  "Wooooo!", I thought. - Just in time for Bioshock which I'd pre-ordered.

  Inside the box was a nice supprise.... 1months free xbox live, I was impressed, MS had kept their word. Little did I know that MS has another little supprise waiting for me. namely - the console
  
  I plugged it in, turned it on....viola, it worked. Beautiful. I looked at the little sheet they provided which told me that the motherboard had been replaced. Marvelous.
  Time to hook up my pads and be on my way back into the world of annoying 12 year olds and stupid gamerpoints (Xbox Live) *shudder*
  AHAH! But noooooooooo! I press the button on the pad to search for the console....THEN.I press the one on the console to search for the pad - nothing happens.
  
  "strange", I thought.
  
  So I changed my faceplate with a different one and tried again. Same result. By this time im getting a little more than pissed off. I take off the faceplate and find that the little button inside is BENT. At a forty-five degree angle!
  Now im pretty damn angry. So I go to my friends house and look at his...needless to say his is straight. I get a dart and push it in and manage to straighten the button up...but it wont go in. This really isnt a DIY job. - Oh yeah, by now im IRATE.
  
  

  So lets refresh. In sending my defective console back to have a fault repaired, I receive it back again with an entirely new fault that is in no way related to the original fault!
  
  SCREW YOU MS! AAARRRGH!

  I dont know why I wrote this. Maybe I just want people to come on here and agree with me. But I am literally so angry about this I dont know what to do. I know I could ring them and demand to get the console repaired again free of charge within a week or something. But whats the point? It'll only break again next week, or next month, or maybe even next year....but it WILL break. I might just buy a Wii and forget MS ever exsisted. But, I know for a fact that i'm not buying another game for my Xbox regardless of wether I get it fixed or not.

  MS are getting no more of my money.

  Blogging from work!

  Im at work at the moment, and theres nothing else to do so I thought id make a little blog

  I gave in to the dark side and rang up MS to get my 360 fixed. I suppose its the right thing to do, since its free n'all.
  The problem is I sold all my game lol. Oh well... I dont suppose I would have played on any of them anyway. Im a PS3 man now. woooooh.

  Speaking of Sony..I started playing Shadow of the Collosus finally (Ive had it AGES). And OH M GOD, this game is fantastic, why didnt I play this earlier?! You people should have told me!

  I wish I had more money - random, but true.

  Those are my musings for the day my loyal followers. So its Vinno signing out again.

  Boring life continues lol

  My 360 is still broke

  I promised pictures of my car, well my neice decided to delete the folder on my pc with all the pictures in lol. So that takes care of that. But my god, the car is so FAST. When the turbo kicks in its like being punched in the face lol.

  Ive decided that even with the free repair on the 360, I cant be bothered to get it done. Its just so crap. Im gonna focus on the PS3 from now on. RAAAAR!

  Hmmm....I hate MS

  Its happened again.

  My 360 is BROKE. This time Im not gonna get it fixed. Im sick of it. 2 breakages in 18 months..its just not on. MS are getting nor more of my money thats for sure.

  Instead..im focusing my mind (and wallet) on my new project...my new motor! I am soon to be the proud owner of a Fiat Coupe...my god...such beautiful cars (not to everyones taste mind). I love 'em though, and theyre so FAST its a joke!
  I have a small feeling it will be the death of me...but oh well lol. Nah...i'll drive it nice and safely, it'll be my baby

  Due to my 360 breaking i've just lost my heart for gaming atm, the PS3 has nothing to offer lately either. So therefore ive become to inactive on here...i'll pop back from time to time to write this boring blogs which nobody reads, but oh well haha.

  Milan 2 - 1 Liverpool!!

  Waahhooooo! Thank God that Milan won.
  
  Gattuso is an absoloute legend. He is my favourite player in the whole world..he totally owned the Semi Final and then battered Liverpool last night. Top Stuff!

  Overall I think Milan deserved it. They defended really well against Liverpool who were doing most of the attacking. Then they went up the other end and took thier chances. Well done lads

  The seasons over now(sigh)..and its time to be bored until August when it all kicks back in.

  Just thought id give you all a snapshot into what im thinking now, whoop whoop!

  Banned!

  I got suspended for 3 days off Gamespot!

  Why? I dont know lol. Apprantly I said something offensive. I know what I said, and to be honest...you would have to be pretty damn sensitive to find it offensive. Infact.. everyone in the topic thought it was funny. it wasnt an insult, or a name call..just a comment about the subject at hand..oh well.

  Life has been pretty boring lately. I got CnC3 for the 360. That seems to be passing the time quite well. I did about an hour on one mission earlier and we had a power cut, whoops. Ill start that again later lol.

  LOL. At football on Thursday, my team won 33-4. ROFL. Yes....33 goals to 4. Thats pretty sick. If I was on that other team I would have gone home at half time. We're top of the league by a mile and its a foregone conclusion that we're gonna win really..

  ...and thats about it. Nothing special today. So I geuss its..
