Hello everyone, I haven't been playing a whole lot of games lately. But I found a link to this blog via my Twitter feed, and I read a good chunk of it. In case you're wondering, its about the top five cult games of this year, and the top one is one of my personal favorite games of this year, Deadly Premonition. But there is a really good quote in here that I just found amazing, and really funny and ironic, you have to read this.
"Reviews were perhaps the most amusingly polarizing external aspect to the game. IGN provided the first review, rating the game a dismal 2.0. Destructoid followed suit with a perfect 10 review of their own, and 1up followed with a solid "B" rating. While IGN couldn't see past the clunky controls that they felt kicked them out of the experience, the others saw the ultimate cult clasic of a game. The final laugh came when the game was released many months later in Europe - only to receive a 7.5 from IGN UK."
Wow, just wow. Thats kind of ridiculously funny and awesome. I never thought a site could so counter itself in such a way. If you want to read the whole blog, it can be found here. And yes, I left out the second s in the word after "cult in that quote, otherwise I couldn't post this blog for some reason. Anyway the only new thing I really played lately was the Dead Space 2 demo, and for the most part I really like that, and I'm going to try out the LittleBigPlanet 2 demo soon. But I'll talk about those some other time. Thanks for reading everyone!
