Summer
Well my summer is almost halfway done and I can say it has been unusual. The most obvious difference is that there is a new kid in town, the baby. He has grown so fast in one month, almost two pounds since we left the hospital. We still can't tell what color his eyes are gonna be. Some days they are grey blue, some days green or even brownish. Baby J was born with brown hair, but it's beginningto fallout. Blonde hair in his future?
The other big difference is that for the first time in a decade, I'm not working during the summer. I have always had a second job as long as I have been teaching. Kind of miss it though, moneys has gotten tight and we're stuck at home for the moment.Thank goodness for Netflix. That's has nothing to do with a new baby, there has been too many birthdays, anniversaries and a beach trip all in June. It's just been a tough month. Matty said he worked at a fireworks stand for a while and I wonder if I can find a job similar to that, where I can just work a day or two, just for the summer. Just something to give me a little extra cash.

Rockband promotion.
And now for something gaming related. Special thanks to Sabin55 for the heads up.
Sorry if this only applies for the U.S., but Pepsi is currently running a RB promotion where you can enter a code on their website and win a free Rockband song. You sign up for a Yahoo account, then enter the code under the Pepsi cap.I've won every time so far, 3 for 3.
Now here's the thing. When I redeem the points on the Wii, they become free Wii points for anything on the VC and Wiiware, not just Rockband songs.200 points each time.I'm not sure if it works this way for the 360 and PS3, but Wii owners should check it out.
Unfortunately, you have to buy Pepsi products.

Two People Enter, Three People Leave.
Here I am at home now sitting by my newborn son. We went into the hospital Sunday night and did not get home till nearly four days later. We didn't have any complications, he just didn't want to arrive. We were scheduled to induce Monday morning with hopes that he would arrive later that day. That did not happen. Mywife had contractions but that was about it. We hung out with friends and family, including my five year old nephew who was eager to see his cousin.
On Tuesday, my wife's contractions got a little stronger and by 11 am, she was given an epidermal. Thank God for whoever invented that. By 1pm, my mom and I had lunch in the cafeteria, unaware tha there was no cell phone signal down there. We got a call in the elevator that we needed to hurry because my wife was nearly fully dilated. Labor begun at about 2:30 and the baby was born at 4:27. My mother in law and I were allowed to stay during delivery and we actually helped with delivery. The doctor only showed up at the end and was basically a catcher's mitt for the baby.

Little J hasbrown hair, which was surprising because we both were born with blond hair. He weighed 7lb, 13 oz and is 21 1/4 inches long and he is absolutely amazing. I didn't get real emotional till the next day. It hit me like a ton of bricks. There is no one I will love more than him, probably not even my wife. I can't explain it, but if you have a child you'll know what I mean. Just think of all the love you have for your family, that love will be multiplied by ten for your baby.
I guess one picture won't hurt.
