I enjoy listening to some good music to life my spirits (its especially useful at this depressing time of year.) I think there's a lot of favorites of mine that are from the 1980's era. Here's a short list of what I think are great powerful legends made during this time.
My Top Ten:
1. Bonnie Tyler - Holding Out For A Hero
2. The Police - Every Breath You Take
3. Toto - Africa.
4. Cyndi Lauper - True Colors
5. Cyndi Lauper - Time After Time
6. Eurythmics - Here Comes The Rain Again
7. Poison - Nothin' But A Good Time
8. Billy Joel - Uptown Girl
9. Dexy's Midnight Runners - Come On Eileen
10. Buggles - Video Killed The Radio Star

I recently discovered the band Folkstone, so I've had a lot of their stuff on repeat for the past week XD
i'm into lots of techno and alternative rock, as well as some screamo/metal, and various anime/game soundtracks

In my teens? It was Hip Hop and Alternative Rock.
Today, at 37 years old? It's quite a mix. All kindsa' music, from Beethoven to Stone Temple Pilots to Earth Wind & Fire to The Cure to music from my fav video games and anime.
Yokko Kanno is pure awesome. The stuff she created for Darker than Black and the songs she and The Seatbelts did for Cowboy Bebop are timeless.
My step-Dad, believe it or not, is a big Billy Joel fan. He used to have all the old cassette tapes from the 1980s. Today, he has a couple of 'greatest hits' or 'best of' CDs.
I am a fan of viral videos such as Nyan Cat and songs like guiles theme. The only real music I would listhen to is rap from like Eminem.
I'm a big fan of power metal. I'm into obscure stuff that you're everyday person hasn't heard of. Power Metal is mainly European, I'm into the European style of power metal. Some of my favorite bands are Stratovarius, Galneryus, Rhapsody of Fire, Elvenking, Vision Divine, Manowar.... I could go on.
