Happy is an understatement (Pictures of awesomeness)

Well, after 7-9 months of anticipation, frustration and excitement, the day has finally arrived. One amazing instrument was delivered to my house around 1:25pm today. This my friends is my Contrabass Clarinet.

Yes, I am a band geek, hence my geekdum towards this. The fact that only about 500 of these are made a year, and I get to have one is somewhere up between ****ing amazing and an honor. The thing is huge, its about 6 feet tall, so its only a little taller than I am. It plays beautifully. I've never heard such a low note. It's so low, it actually rattles. The high notes sound just as solid as the low notes. Overall, I've never played such an amazing instrument.

This is my Bass Clarinet case up against my Contrabass Clarinet case. Yeah, this thing is twice as big as the instrument I've played for 5 years. Between this and Tuba, its going to give my lungs a workout
This is my Contrabass up against my bed (My bed is high off the ground). Its really the only thing I could lean it against to take pictures of it standing up. Plus I needed a picture to show people what it looks like

Putting it together is somewhat of a pain seeing as it's tall and in an awkward shape, but it isn't much of a problem. I'm more worried about transporting the thing, seeing as the case is huge. But I'll figure that out later. I just can't believe that I finally have this thing! I can already hear my band instructor creaming himself because of how awesome this thing is. For the first time, I can not wait for school to start and show this thing off

So, want to see my new toy?

Yeah, I told some of you about her, but I need to spread her existance to the rest of my GS friends. And maybe she isn't really mine, but I'm borrowing her from the school, and I love her. I need to name her...since it's a tradition at my school to name all Tubas/Sousaphones.

And, I'm learning Holiday by Green Day on it. How awesome is that?

    A Legitimate Blog

Yeah, I honestly have nothing better to do, and this is the first time I haven't had homework in months, so updating everyone on my life since I posted my last blog (around Christmas...jeez) might be a good idea? Idk.

School: School is coming to an end, finally! After spending 3 months on a Research Paper, I finally got it handed back to me the other day with a solid A-, so that made me happy I have 25 days left of school, however they're going to be the hardest days for me Memorial Day I am marching in 3 different parades (Yeah, 3 parades, back-to-back. It's going to be tough). The weekend after that I'm with the band again and we're performing at a cancer foundation event to honor those who've died and survived cancer. Day after? Band concert. Yeah, busy times for the band geek. Oh, and I have state testing next week (or the week after, I never pay attention to what my teachers say...). Outside of that, it's just wrapping everything up and preparing for finals.

Games: I'm a terrible, I'm going to say this now. I've gotten diddly-squat this year so far. I passed up Killzone 2, Street Fighter IV and RE5, so I'll have to get those later. Not to mention I have tons of pre-orders that I have to put down on games that are coming out. I'm personally excited for new Western games. I'm a sucker for Western games, especially after how much fun GUN was.

Music: Nothing new, listening to basically everything, Alternative, Indie Rock, Oldies, Classic Rock, Metal, Blues, Band Music (I'm a band geek, remember?), etc.

Life: This part kind of brings down my day. Family stuff is kind of lame at the moment (Not exactly flat-out terrible, but just enough to get on your nerves). Plus, I hate being at home, since I do absolutely nothing while I'm at home.

Oh! I did get a haircut though! No more long hair for me.

E3: I haven't been paying attention to what is even going to be at E3 this year, so I'll just watch it and see what's cool

Uhh..:...*draws blank* I can't think of anything else. I've been pretty inactive on almost every site I'm on, just because I don't like sitting at the computer much anymore. The Computer has become the new TV for me, neither of which I like to spend much time on. TV reminds me...I need to go see more movies...*starts making plans*

Yeah, that's basically it, if you have any questions I'll probably answer them, but otherwise that's what has been going on.
