  New games for my collection + Christmas is coming!

  College days are gone and gaming days are back. I'm finally on vacations, enjoying my free time while it lasts. Vacations for me involve relaxing, hanging out with friends, and of course, gaming. For these vacations I decided to get some new games for my collection, which are Pikmin and Yoshi's Island (SNES). Both are rare games nowadays, so I feel they made a quite valuable addition to my humble collection. I started playing Pikmin and it's great so far. It's a unique and challenging game. Having played the sequel before (Pikmin 2) doesn't affect my experience much, since this one has the challenging touch that the other ones kinda lacks. I haven't played Yoshi's Island thet much yet, but I can already tell that it's an undeniable classic. Well I have work to do in these days

  In the other hand, Christmas is coming soon! Some old friend is coming to visit and I'll also be spending time with my family. And yes, I already know what I'll ask for this Christmas I'm hopefully going to receive The Orange Box (at last), Modern Warfare 2, a Wii Point Card, clothes, and other non so gaming related stuff. Oh, and I'm going on a trip on December 29. I'll be talking about that on my next blog.

  Thinking on what should I get next

  I know it's kinda been a while since my last blog, but I have been kinda busy. My life has basically been college and Brawl, of course . I'm about to finish my first semester at college and I can't believe how fast it passed. I'm going to have my final exams next week, so yeah, it's still not over yet. But anyways, about my gaming life, it has been a bit varied. I finished Banjo Kazooie and while I found it fun, I felt it had something missing and was very simple compared to Banjo Tooie. After that, I moved to Final Fantasy III for SNES, which is FF IV for the GBA and in Japan. It's a great game, I still have a lot to go through.

  I really enjoy playing classic games and I plan to play a lot more, but in the other hand, I feel I'm missing so many new games that most of the people are playing at the moment and discussing about them. That, and because new games also have their good things, I plan to get some new games, specially with Christmas coming. I'm still thinking on what to get next. I want to get something new for my Wii, in which I have only played Brawl since like... a year or something lol. Too bad there aren't many interesting games for the Wii at the moment, except for maybe some Wii Ware and VC games and maybe Super Mario Bros Wii. For my PC, it's a totally different story. Being new in this gaming platform, I have a long list of games I'm interested in playing. At the moment, I'm mostly interested on getting The Orange Box (at last!), Modern Warfare 2, Batman Arkaham Asylum, and probably Fall out 3. I also heard that Dragon Age Origins it's an amazing game. Either ways, I'm open for suggestions.

  I decided to give Oblivion a second chance...

  Since many of you people suggested and because I was having a lot of free time, I decided to give this game a second chance. My first impressions of this game weren't that good and I even dropped some conclusions about this game and my gaming taste and blah blah blah. But still, I insisted on playing it again. I was being a lot more patient this time and I wasn't questioning myself why I was wasting my time playing that and all that. After some days of playing it this way, I realized that I was slowly getting immersed into it. There was some force driving me towards playing more and more. Something inside me really wanted to keep making subquests, leveling up, exploring this virtual world, and developing my character. I think now discovered the true essence of this game.

  So yeah, it was really worth it It's definitely game that has to be played with a different approach than most games out there, but gives a truly unique experience. For the ones that haven't played this game, I recommend you to take my advice It's an awesome game.

  In the other hand, I'm also going a bit retro and playing Banjo Kazooie It's a really fun game, but I feel that Banjo Tooie beats it in many ways... still not sure though. After I finish this, I plan on moving on to Final Fantasy VII, that, believe me or not, I have NEVER played it before I know, I feel very bad saying this.
