What the DragonBall Z games need

So first off before I start this I would like to say hello, this is my first blog and I am new to the gamespot scene so I figured I would just say that. Also, If you would like me to write about anything (With in reason) I would not mind, just drop me a PM and I will reply if I do decide to put something together about your subject. Anyways off to the title at hand, the reason I am doing this blog.

What the Dragonball Z games need. Well I would like to start this by saying I am a huge DB, DB: Z and DB: GT fan. I try to know all that I can about it and I know quite a bit so that's always good when you think about this type of stuff. Anyways what does the game series need? Well there's a decent amount, I mean they got the fighting style down (Budokai 3 is a great fighter), but what they need is creativity. Thoughts that make people go "Wow, that's a good idea" (Which in return when you put that thought into the games, the fans will go "Wow, I got to get this game"). Do they already do that? (The whole wow idea) Yea maybe at one point they did, but the actually TV series can only lead them so far, they need to brainstorm there own ideas.

For example, most games now days have a create a player, fighter or etc... Where is this for any of the DragonBall games? I mean truly you would think that they would have put this together by now, but they haven't. The first time they do this your CF (Created Fighter) doesn't have to be implemented in the story (I will get to this later), your fighter could just be there for tournaments, duels and whatever other game mode they put in there that's not involved with the story.

When they further advance this CAF then they could look into doing other stuff to it, first you make it simple, plain but exciting, something that will get the crowd saying "This sucks" or "I want more of this". If you get the good reaction, why not go into detail. Like for example making your fighter either a Sayain, Namek, Kai or Human. Most people I would assume would go Sayain so you go into even more detail and use that creativity. Maybe start a whole new thing like a "Super Human" where he gets his hair white and is pretty much the equal to a "Super Sayain". Then maybe continue that detail and do a "Super Human 2 and 3" for instance maybe "Super Human 2" your hair starts to get bluish but not fully, then for "Super Human 3" your hair is completely blue and your eyes are blue to.

This is a Image of the Character Burter from the Ginyu Saga in DragonBall Z

Not like the Super Sayain blue, I mean like a Burter blue. Like how Burter's eyes are pink, yours are the same but blue.

With the continued success of that you would then go on and figure ways to put the players CF into the story mode, finding ways to make it reasonable as to how that fighters character got into the story. For example if the player chooses to be Sayain you could implement him in the story as if he was the son of Turles. Not evil hearted like Turles so since Turles was ashamed he kept him secret but did allow him to follow in his travels from world to world to plant the Tree of Might. During Turles fight with Goku his son (Your fighter) leaves and he sort of trains himself until he encounters Goku and wants to fight him (As a friend, just to see where your fighter places against Goku.) Then after that you sort of become yet another Z fighter and continue your character in the story.

The other two races seem all but easy to implement in the story. Namek would just be something to the extent of, he is the strongest Namek from Planet Namek and sort of helps Gohan and Krillin before Goku arrives. When he is wished to earth by the DragonBalls from Namek he decides to stay and help the Z fighters on all there encounters.

Human would just be easy as well, you could even start him right off the bat with the Raditz encounter (Sayain Saga). He senses a strong presence and decides to check it out, like Goku he is kind of heart so he can sense that Raditz is evil and Goku is not so he sides with Goku and helps him in his struggle, thus becoming one of the Z fighters.

Now for the last part of this whole thing, how to justify how strong your guy is. Well you could put in some training in the story mode, like he trains and the better you do during the training the better your guy will be. After a certain amount of points that you get from training you will get the capsules (Super Sayain Capsule, Super Human or Super Namek... Of course the Super Human is if they went with my idea in the first place.) Who knows maybe you surpass Goku which would be a accomplishment in and of itself. This is all just little ways I think that the DragonBall Z games can improve, cause it seems that year after year we get the same stuff with basically a different game mode and more characters (Or less with Burst Limit coming out.)

Anyways, it would seem hard to believe that they wouldn't have thought of CAF during the long road of the DragonBall Z games. So who knows maybe there is something that is holding them back and not allowing them to do such things, but this is just my little rant of ideas that the game series could use cause they seem to be dishing out the same game year after year with no huge improvements (Of course Graphics are with the upcoming Burst Limit but I am talking about enjoyable new game modes.) Take this blog for what it is, hope you enjoy the read and like I said if you would like me to write about anything just drop me a PM I am more then happy to consider it.
