With E3 2/3 over, I have already settled on my pick for top game.
With a great visual presentation, loads of mechanics that scream teamwork and of course, online coop, Resident Evil 5 is my pick for top game of E3 2008.
Keep up the good work Capcom and I can't wait for Friday the 13th, March 2009!!
Let's talk about free Microsoft Points...
Design a car, submit it (remember to select the button that says "Yes, I want MS points"!) and enjoy your FREE MS points!!
Last night was an extremely productive Battlefield: Bad Company session. Not only did I pick up TWO levels (unlocking the XM8 LMG) but a whole slew of trophies and multiplayer achievements. I am particularly proud of the "Be the Best" achievement and the trophy that goes along with that. Holding your own in a ranked game is a task in itself not to mention gain the most amount of points.

I've settled on the support and assault kits as my favorite loadouts, depending on which side of the game I'm on. Support for defense and assault for attacker.
After a couple of hours in multiplayer, I moved back to the single player side of Bad Company and resumed my game. At this point I noticed I had 9,991 gamerscore and just had to go for 10K! After completing "Par for the Course" I finished up at 10,021 gamerscore, another great accomplishment!
I also showed some love to my PS3 and Super Stardust HD picking up two silver trophies pushing my count to 8 Trophies, 5 bronze and 3 silver. From my profile I'd have to guess I'm 80% of the way to level two. Saving the last two planets should get me there.

In the past few days, I have been sinking a lot of time into Super Stardust HD lately in my quest for PS3 trophies. As you can see from the widget below, I've got 5 of the 12 in the original game (5 more available with the expansion pack). Speaking of the widget, it's cool but unfortunately is a manual update process. As I earn trophies, I have to log into my playfire.com account and add each trophy. Some Sony blog said that they were looking to integrate trophies with the web like X360 gamercards, hope it comes true.
Battlefield: Bad Company multiplayer is also getting a lot of attention recently. I reached level 8 (of 25) lastnight and am looking to get to level 9 by tomorrow. I am engrossed in the awards system for that game and have been working towards a number of them while playing online matches.
I have been experiencing a good amount of lag when I play even though I have a connection considered "OPEN" by my X360. I'm going to try putting my X360 on a static IP address and port forwarding to see if that helps. If not, my buddy has a method to put my router on a DMZ which should take care of anything else.
The next game I've got my eye on in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, due in September. That gives me plenty of time to finish up some games I have recently picked up including Bioshock, Mass Effect and Burnout. Thank goodness for used games! I was able to get all three of those games for less than 60 dollars. Great additions to the collection as well.
I am eagerly awaiting E3 not just for the big announcements but this year, something special will be happening. I will dub this year's E3 as "The Year of the Knee-Jerk". Each of the big three will unveil their responses to the other services/selling point. Can't wait. Should be extra corny.
