    Governor vs. Governator

    Hi blog! I've missed you.

So in about a month or so I will be moving from New Jersey to Southern California, for a job I just got that may or may not involve being a graphics programmer for a video game developer. This will probably be a big change for me, as I will no longer have the comforts of gross snowy winters and Wall Street douchebags on their Blackberry's. So I've started to make some comparisons, and the first I've done is governors. As you surely know the great state of California is ruled with an iron fist by the governator himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger. In the New Jersey corner we have Governor Jon Corzine. Let's see how they stack up!

    Ah-nold

    • Fiscally conservative
    • Socially liberal
    • Has travelled back in time (3 times!)
    • Kicked a predatory alien's ass in the middle of the jungle, with nothing but his wits and a knife
    • Was the first male to be pregnant and give birth
    • He did not in fact have a tumor, contrary to certain allegations
    • Once shot his wife and said "consider this a divorce!"
    • Saved the US from a nuclear attack by terrorist group "The Crimson Jihad"
    • Once fell out off a plane, landed in a swamp, and got right back up
    • Versatile enough to star in a smash holiday comedy, despite being such a badass

    Corzine

    • Once almost killed himself in a car accident

So there you have it! Ah-nold wins by a landslide!

    Swag!

I doubt many people here know or care, but I was recently made a DirectX/XNA MVP. This means, amongst other things, that I get to to the most awesome nerdilicous conference in the world: the MVP Global Summit. Imagine free food, free beer, and lots of really in-depth sessions about cool programmer stuff.

Anyway I took a picture of all the free stuff I brought back with me:

    Here's what's in there:

    -MVP bag
    -Windows 7 Developer Jumpstart kits
    -MVP sticker set
    -2 "I'm a PC" stickers
    -2 pens, 1 a pen + hilighter
    -MVP post-it note pad
    -MVP water bottle
-MVP button-down shirt (it looks like graph paper, lulz)
    -Windows 7 t-shirt (in the shape of a 7!)
    -You're in the Movies w/camera
    -Gears 2
    -Halo Wars LE

    Teh awesome.

    From the art gallery

I wanted to make a new blog entry, but I needed a picture. After all a blog entry without a picture is like Regis & Kelly without Regis (everyone knows Regis has all the star-power). So, I did what anybody would do at work: I drew a self-portrait on a post-it note. This is exactly how I see myself:

Also I forgot to label it, but I'm wearing sunglasses. Really really cool ones.
