Movie Review: Inconvenient Truth. Among other things

Well, I've put up my review of 1080 avalanche and here is my review for An Inconvenient Truth!

I watched this one about....1 day ago so it is still fresh in my memory ( Unlike some of the games I review ). So, time for the review!

Movie Review: An Inconvenient Truth

An Inconvenient Truth is a documentary presented by Al Gore and directed by Davis Guggenheim. It is concerned with Global Warming and a bit about Al Gore`s efforts to expose the threat of Global Warming to the public. The film consists mostly of footage from Al Gore`s presentation called "The Slideshow" which he has presented in many places around the world.

In a technical sense the film seemed very good. Some good camera work and footage presents itself. Of course, as this is a documentary you will probably pay little to no attention to these aspects of the movie.

The music is very nice. It even won the "Best original song" Academy Award ( The first documentary to do so ). On this front, I really don`t have much to say. Once again, as it is a documentary this won`t matter much.

The meat of any documentary however, is what it is presenting. And in this case it is Global Warming and also some mis-conceptions surrounding it. This is a very polarizing subject, and for some people it won`t help that Al Gore is presenting it, as for some reason many people seem to be very hateful towards Al Gore. Your enjoyment of this film will be determined somewhat by your opinions on Global Warming and Al Gore. Although the movie is made very well so I would think that an open minded...skeptic would still enjoy it even with it's subject matter.

The writing is well done, although some people might be turned off by the bad jokes during the presentation pieces. But bad jokes are right at home during presentations and I don't feel that they really detract from the content of the film at all.

So, if you are a liberal, and especially if you are a member of the Green Party you will enjoy this movie very much. But if you are a skeptic you might not be so into it, but it should at least get your brain juices flowing.

Anyway, that's all I have to say!

Movie Rating ( Personal ): 5/5
Movie Rating ( Average Person ) 3.5/5

My badly made poem

Yeah, it's a Halo inspired poem. I'm sure there are plenty of other ones, but I don't really care. This is my first shot at writing poems so I thought I should stick to something I know about

Anyway, gaze in wonder at it's badly made rhymes

The grunts they like raindrops fell,

As the master chief he paves the way.

Many an Elite and Brute he must slay,

As they usher forth from their alien hell.

The Banshees and Ghosts they are not meek,

They are as strong as steel and equally sleek.

But even as all that is great must fall,

The Warthog it comes and destroys them all.

And the Master Chief he rides this beast,

As without it he is slow.

But for the warthog this is just another feast,

This we all should know.

The Master Chief cannot be stopped,

Of that you can be sure.

He is the beacon of light for the human race,

To illuminate the darkest sewer

Anyway, there you have it. Any...suggestions or advice would be very helpful. I started with this

a

b

b

a

sort of pattern but somehow couldn't quite stick to it after those first 4 lines. Then it started sounding sort of badly writen and cliche

Also for some reason the formatting is kind of messed up. It is supposed to be divided into 4 line blocks but the first 3 are all fused together...

Movie Review: Munich

(Here is my review of Munich, I also left the introduction from the original post)

I watched Munich right after I watched Babel. Well actually that isn't true. I found a DVD of Spiderman 3 lying around which I had never watched so I thought I might as well watch that (As I had stopped watching it the first time around out of boredom) and the same thing happened this time too. This isn't just because it is a Spiderman movie, as I had watched the first two and I rather enjoyed them. Thus I have come to the conclusion that Spiderman 3 is inferior to the first two movies. I think I may struggle through it so that I can give you guys a review of something I don't like for a change.

Anyway, now that we have that out of the way, let us read the review of Munich shall we?

Movie Review: Munich

Munich was directed by Steven Spielberg and written by Tony Kushner and Eric Roth. Surprisingly it was actually not quite as well received as you might think (considering that it is a Spielberg directed film) Many critics disliked the movie and also pointed out it's historical inaccuracies. Spielberg has noted that the first half of the movie depicting the Munich Massacre is accurate, while the second half is more like historical fiction. The second half is however based on the real Israeli operation known as "Operation Wrath of God". So you won't want to be using this film to brush up on your modern European history that's for sure.

The movie revolves around the Munich massacre. Actually to be more precise it revolves around the Israeli government's operations to assassinate top members of the terrorist organization Black September who orchestrated the Munich massacre. The main character, Avner, is an "Un-associated" member of the Mossad, Israel's equivalent to the CIA. He and a team assembled for him by the Mossad set out to find and kill 11 targets, all of them said to be high ranking members of Black September.

First off let us start with the acting, which is very good. Especially that of the main character Avner, portrayed by actor Eric Bana. The character is going through a lot, and this shows through in the actor's performance. Also in the film is Daniel Craig (Who played James Bond in Casino Royale).

Technical aspects of the film are also good, and there is really not much else to say.

Music is very good, capturing the feeling well. Such is to be expected from a Spielberg movie.

Dialogue is good in my opinion, sounding quite believable and realistic. Especially conversations involving Carl, who was my favorite character somehow.

Anyway, I don't have much more to say. Although it didn't get the best response from critics when it was released, I still think it is a very good movie that certainly should not be missed!

4/5

Custom Robo game review up, and new emblem
Well, I posted my Custom Robo review from my other blog up here. Hope you guys like it, as there don't seem to be that many good reviews for this horrific game. Also, finally got around to adding some games I have to my collection here on the website, which got me that nice looking PC gamer emblem.

I feel dizzy

After watching about half of final fantasy advent children in a dark room before going to school, I feel mildly dizzy. Not enough to make me worry too much, but enough to make me stop watching the movie for now and take a nap.

Welllll....that is pretty much all I have to say.
