Get Adblock Plus
Make a custom filter
Add this as a rule:
gamespot.com##[class*="'author':'enterusernamehere'"] > *
Now the user is as good as gone. No fuss, no mess, no need to wait for them to get banned. They're eliminated from ever being see by you (unless someone quotes them, but hey nothing is perfect).
Credit goes to jandurin for showing me this glorious feature.
Also, I am fully aware that I stopped three games short of doing the rest of my scariest games of all time list. Perhaps I'll get back to it when October rolls around again, but I make no promises.
uhhhh, which Adblocker Plus should i download because there's so many of them?, and my Firefox doesn't want me to download any of them, so just to be sure
@Gelugon_baat I don't browse comments that often, so it's no skin off my nose. Also, this makes it much easier to ignore users on forums anyway. Kind of makes me question the need for a mod team now...well even further given the newer rules and this new development.
I used it and it worked like a charm. But I still see when someone quotes LJS. What can I do about that?
I have no one I want to block at the moment, but still, its nice to have an option.Congrats to this jandurin for finding this feature :)
druggie, youre a wonderful person for finding this frame, youre awesome for linking to this in your sig, and providing that code in the first comment :P
@FMAB_GTO Not sure if it would work there, but I guess if you tweak the code a little to look like this: myanimelist.net##[class*="'author':'enterusernamehere'"] > * If that doesn't work, then I have no idea.
@The_Druggie: You could start a thread about it... it would save GS time on an ignore feature after all.
Anywho, I think this should be spread to the entire site so GS can become a better place. I urge anyone reading this to post my blog on their blog, sans the part about the scariest games list thing, of course.
Will use in the future when someone really ticks me off... that way i avoid suspension for raging :/
gamespot.com##[class*="'author':'LJS9502_basic'"] > * (add to Ad-Block Plus to ignore a user) ... It's the way of the future.
