This is it. The Sonata you've been waiting for.
DealRogers
Firstly, I know, I know, you all missed my ever annoying presence. I'll be back in full swing soon enough!

*Note: This grilling session may not bare any shared opinions with yours truly.* You like the Playstation 3, why?

Thats simple man, I have various favorite franchises. I put the exclusive ones in comparison like this: GOW3,MGS4,FF13 (lol)>Zelda, Brawl, Mario > (blank space for a M$ game). So I bought the console that would have them, PS3 . And its the sexiest, more reliable and I believe most powerful of the grand 3 (kind of fanboy response but who cares:roll)

So you don't like any of the games out for the 360? Mass Effect Bioshock Eternal Sonata Lost Odyssey Gears of War Halo 3 (lol, Halo...) The list can easily go on.

From those Ive only played Halo (1,2,3) and I like it, the multiplayer is very good and I like the variety of weapons (especially sniper rifle) and vehicles. To be honest I dont know very much about the others, but Gears of War surely has awesome graphics even if it is very very old, and Lost Odyssey looks kind of interesting. Anyways I can only afford one console so it isnt that I dont like Xbox 360 games, its just that I cant play them lol. To conclude, no Xbox games impress me enough to buy the console even if I could.

Did you notice that of the games I mentioned, ALL of them are out? Of the games you listed, only one is out. MGS4. The 360 currently has far more choices and games that justify a purchase over the PS3. JRPGs, shooters, fighters, and many more. Are you trying to say that it's worth the wait instead of just picking up a 360 and trying these new IPs and experiences? Yeah, I get your point. I knew from the beggining that only could afford just one console out of the big three, because every damn game costs a lot, I dont work or something to get me some money to buy all the games and consoles I want , and having a girlfriend is surely a big monetary problem. So I saved money, and then I had to chose, viewing even in a distant future, in which console my favorite franchises were going to be released. It was a tough decision between Sony and Nintendo, but then a friend of mine got a Wii, so it was all clear . I know Im missing games in the 360, but thats the way it is when you can afford only one

Tribute

Alright. Last I checked, neither of us know the origin point of our meet, but the closest we got was that I was a bit...different from other PS3 owners on the forums. So I believe I added him on my blog list first. With that said, he's one of the VIP members that got in there pretty dang early, considering he was a more recent add to my cast of crazy friends.

With that said, I can already tell you that he's quite a good sport and has yet to argue with me. Just how many of you can say THAT?
From what I've seen, he doesn't throw himself into arguments, or system wars and respects other people's opinion.

...Far more than I can, so leave him be darnit!

Let's make one last thing clear.
If you've read at least 10 of my blogs, or even a few of my posts on the forums, we all know that I can spew my opinions strong and direct. This in turn has earned me unneeded tension on a few too many cases. Either it be on the forums, in my poor inbox, my messenger, or other means of communication. All of this because of how I address my opinion. So if you already couldn't tell, I'm addressing these complaints right here on this blog. For one, when I'm ranting off the handle, it's not because I'm angry at you, it's because I intend on covering all my angles. If I sound harsh, read my post/blog. It's not directed towards you in any way...but that game you love. I'll repeat: I'm flaming the game, not you.

Something else to address. Not once have I stated that my opinion is law and truth. I have, however, provided some nice examples and "evidence", if you will, to explain myself better. Do not take that as me flaming you or looking down on you. It's me telling you where I'm coming from and why.

The last thing I've noticed, which is the most disappointing one, was the occasional times people simply backed out of an argument with me. I don't mean the times that both of us have stated our points with thorough logic that becomes subjective after a certain point. I mean that the person actually just gives up by either changing topics are telling me to take it easy. I encourage arguments because there is a chance I might learn something from it....Because unlike people who don't watch anime for the silliest of reasons, I'm able and willing to learn from my own faulty logic....Take that as you will.

Note: New posters might be coming in since my posts are currently linking themselves to this blog. Just wanted to let you regulars know.

*Note: The default format is still being worked on with how the interviews should go...but I think it's finalizing a bit.*

Welcome aboard the VIP list. How does it feel to be a few out of a hundred?

Haha hey man, it's an honor and a priveledge to be here! Thanks again for putting up with my work and frequent not being around once again, it was honestly a surprise to find out i made the list both times!!!

Have you met any new or old friends on my blogs?

Have I met any new or old faces?: I think so, haha. I know Ryan, Thomas and Goblin are on your blog, and I know them, they are awesome people from what I know about them...well, Thomas and Ryan are, Goblin kinda sucks at life! Haha just kidding...but other than that, heh work kills me and I don't have too much time to pay attention to the others! Really sorry guys! Like I say, I accept all friend requests, so if ya recognize me, just drop a PM or track me, and ill track ya right back...

Do you happen to hate any games that you believe are overrated?

Overrated games?: Eh, I know I'm going to get my head chewed off for this, but there are two games i think are very overrated...One is an entire series, and it's Grand Theft Auto. Yes, I find the entire series extremely overrated. First, please understand that, just because I find the series overrated, does not mean I don't play them or think that they are no fun. They are fun, yet I feel they are overrated because they are often simplistic and awfully tedious...The second game, and this one I know will anger people, is Call of Duty 4. Once again it is a fun game, with great graphics and great multiplayer; but to me it lacked something that would have made it insurpassable would have been a COVER SYSTEM. Almost a dozen other games had a cover system at the time the game was released, yet COD4 left it out, so this left it rather uncomparable to one of my favorite shooters, R6 Vegas and Vegas 2...

*Dude man. How many more delays before your story comes to fruit?

Heh, yes my fellow dude man, my story will come to fruition. I'm not one to halfass things normally, so I refuse to begin the story without being completely ready for it. I want this to succeed, because it is not just my dreams that are riding on this, so i will make sure i am completely prepared before release... As for teaser three, it's just kind of ironic how many delays there have been, but this most recent delay comes with good reason; when I release teaser 3, I will also be releasing my site, the name of the book, and SOOO much more look forward to it!

Favorite movie? Have you seen Death Note?

My favorite movie, would have to be Sunshine, it is not a well known Sci-fi movie, that was directed by Danny Boyle...My opinion on the movie is this: there is no other movie that you will watch that will have you wake up the next day and look at the Sun in a completely different way...

HAVE I SEEN DEATH NOTE?! REALLY?!?!...lemme tell you a story, about a second year college student. I had heard about the anime known a Death Note, what I could say was sometime before it became well known here in the states. One day I watched the first three episodes and was duely impressed. I continued to watch and when I hit episode five I became kind of...obsessed. I spent the next three days watching the entire series; without sleep, and only eating and going to class when i had to...That is Death Note to me...

***You heard that folks! Watch Death Note darnit! Cept you Chaos...It'll go over your head because of the art style.***

*Are you liking Eternia thus far (How much you actually read)?

Eternia, is an awesome peice of work thus far, however i stopped 3/4 of the way through saga 1 (theyre called sagas right?). I can't wait to pick it up again, but work has to come first. Heh I'm sure, you of all people, understand what a machine a person can become when they start to live their dreams!

Do you happen to have an epic song that you could tell us about so I can hear it? (Self interest for the win.)

An epic song that I made? or preferred song that just has me hooked? To answer both, I have played many instruments, but I've never composed...As for a specific song that just "says something" to me? The song that presently speaks to me the most, that I could listen to non-stop, is Blue Train, by Asian Kung-fu Generation...nuff said Anything you want to say before I give your tribute?

Closing Statements: A big thanks to everyone here who has been supporting my work thus far, especially Thomas-Crown, and theycallmeryan; THEY ARE AWESOME!... but the biggest thanks goes out to you symph, your one heckofa guy!

Tribute

Clearly he's a busy man! Between working on that "secret" project that not even I can see, he has no time for you! Joking aside, I met him through one of our loved judges Thomas Crown to help Chaos out with promoting a teaser trailer that I just promoted to you! He's a very determined individual that is out to be something great I'm sure...If this third teaser trailer shows it. As the interview shows, he can joke around and take a joke...because I have cracked "Sony jokes" on him for the delays in his project...and now you can too!

So if you want to support his cause, track him. He's wide open. He likes Death Note so there is to be NO hate coming your way darnit!

*Note: General questions may change as I get a hang on the interviewing half.*

Welcome aboard the VIP list! How does it feel to be a few out of a hundred?

1. It makes me feel all fuzzy inside.

*You are one of the few that was banscythed and revived. How does THAT feel?

2. Well, I wish I could comment on the terrible things that happen to me after I was cut from the fold, but I don't want to make a sappy story out of my VIP moment. Needless to say, I walked countless nights, all by myself, thinking as to how it was that I could redeem myself and once again be one of the proud members of your friends list. Had I known it would have been as easy as just explaining that I was absent, I would have done it a long time ago Suffice to say, I am one of the few that have been revived, and in short, it feels refreshing.

Have you met any new or old friends on my blogs?

3. I know I've met a lot of people through your blogs, but I am terrible at keeping track of people I meet, both in real life and the 2.0. But there are a lot of interesting people here, and I always laugh when I see the user with the FLCL avatar, though I do not remember who and I am to lazy to look him/her/it up right now. If anything, your blogs always turn into some sort of interesting discussion, be it meaningful or useless, colorful ramblings.

Do you happen to hate any games that you believe are overrated? Have a favorite franchise (Game wise)?

4. I've always believed hate is a strong word, so there are very few things I hate, and one of those are not games. However, I do feel there are certain games that I just don't understand the hype. Halo is probably the prefect example of this. Sure, is a fun and well crafted shooter, but when I hear (or read) people elevating it to the status of legendary games (such as FFVII) I throw up in my mouth a little. As far as a favorite franchise, the only one I have enjoyed every single title out of it is Metal Gear Solid, and that's including the Ac!d (and I am not a fan of card battling) and the original MSX titles. I also really like FF, but I have not enjoyed all of them (FFV and X-2 come to mind Other titles that I have really enjoyed, that are not a franchise (but same studio, so yeah, I just cheated here are Team Ico's offerings.

Favorite movie?
5. This one is a tough one. I love cinema, so pointing one out is just very difficult for me. One of my favorite movies of all time though (and one which I use a lot of times in order to express how I feel the standard of quality for a movie should be) is Leon: The Professional. Many may think that this is an all action movie at first, but there are several undertones and subtleties at work that just makes it a notch above most. Besides, using this movie as a standard is more realistic than using something like Citizen Kane.

*I don't think I've seen you in any arguments on Gamespot. Why is that?

6. I am just normally a pretty laid back and accepting person. I am extremely open minded and can normally find a middle ground on all situations. Is very hard to get me angry and/or worked up in real life, much less in a forum where we are talking about games. That said, I can be relentless (and cruel if I really feel a point needs to be made.)

Have you seen Death Note?

Yes I have and its excellent. When I think of Death Note, I wish this is the kind of work most people would think of when anime is brought up, instead of popular shows like DBZ, Naruto and Bleach

Do you happen to have an epic song that you could tell us about so I can hear it? (Self interest for the win.)

Final Fantasy X's "Someday the Dream will End and X-2's Eternity~Memories of Lightwave
Queen's "who wants to live forever?
Cowboy Bebop's Rain...Though he likes Steve's version better.
Driver's High by the FMA guys.
One Winged Angel-Orchestra Version

Explanation behind choices.

***SPOILER***
*Well you be avoiding the banscythe in the future?

Once I've seen a technique, it will never work on me again!

Anything you want to say before I give your tribute? Ice cream is my drug!

Tribute

Obviously from the interview, he's quite a funny guy. He's a good sport seeing that he was banscythed and revived. I met him on the PS3 forums as I did for at least half my friends. He was also one of the more open minded ones that stuck out...So I randomely tracked him, and obviously he tracked me back.

If you all go a little bit back, he's always good with leaving long and good comments with his opinion on the blog topic. He's friendly and as mentioned in the interview, he won't jump into too many arguments. But stick around and you're bound to disagree with me man. Everybody goes through it.

He's got quite a bit of friends, so he may not be able to go to every last one of you blogs if you decide to track him after this, but once you track him, it's hard to lose him for too long.

It's a healthy note that his music, hijacking, and anime tastes are close to mine. So back off!

Skippable Blog
What serves basically as a spam blog since I have yet to receive the PM back for the interview, so if you want to save time without the fear of me checking your absence, feel free to simply leave and not comment. For everyone else, this could very easily be a spam thread for you as well as try and keep with the topic I'm about to give you:

Upcoming 360 JRPGs Vs PS3's upcoming JPRGs. Obviously you have to have some sort of knowlege so you don't look so silly.

Pick a side and argue. Try to break the comment record for my blogs and get to 100.

Oh...and no insults.

Edit: Whoever gave me the thumbs down for the MGS4 review...It better dang will be for some reason other than the fact I didn't give it a perfect 10. >.>

*General questions may change as I get a better hold of how to do the interviews.*

Asterisk = Personalized question

I don't know. I guess I kind of feel like I'm one of the idols to the newcomers.

Symphonycometh wrote:

As in, have I made friends with people on your blog, or have I met people there that I was already friends with but didn't know that you were too? Both I'm sure.

Symphonycometh wrote:

This is a tough question.

See, I don't often hate on a game because it's overrated; I mean sure, I can clearly see games that are overrated, but that doesn't mean I'm about to hate them, since they're still likely good behind all of the hype.

But then there's games that I hate, like Children of Mana, which will thereby make me consider them overrated, even if the general rating of it is adequate.

So I'm not sure.

Symphonycometh wrote:

I have a lot of favourite franchises, so I'll just mention some of them.

Golden Sun, Pikmin, Metal Gear, Tales of~, and Ace Attorney.

Symphonycometh wrote:

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.

Symphonycometh wrote:
*Tri-Ace is going to make two exclusive games for the brick, but none for the grill. You'll probably buy a 360 before I do, so you'll tell me if it's Valkyrie Profile II/Star Ocean epic, right?

Well, I've yet to play VP2, or the original SO, but I'll probably play them soon enough; though me playing SO 1 & 2 depends on whether those PSP games leave Japan.

Though yes, I'll certainly tell you.

Symphonycometh wrote:

Yes. Probably my favourite anime.

Symphonycometh wrote:

I don't have a particular song, though the Phoenix Wright / Ace Attorney games have some brilliant music in my opinion.

Symphonycometh wrote:

Yes I know, though I've got another avatar picked out that I'm trying to earn the right to use right now.

"Jabroni Mandrill.."…? That would be your name if you were a main character in the MGS series…Can you explain how that happened? Lol

I'm honestly not sure, I mean, the man who assigned it to me started talking crazy-talk right afterwards. Something about a worm in space with a fork doing a blink on a rock. He then started mumbling about how he needed sixty-one scissors.

Symphonycometh wrote:

I'm typing this sentence with my eyes closed.

Tribute

AnFangs_Endes. Somehow you all should've known he'd make the VIP list. One of the many few("Many few"...lol) who came shy of becoming a banscythe judge. Bless his dial-up heart, he's been with my blogs since they were still only getting 5 comments max. (Yes, max) A lot of you came in when I was getting 40 comments at minimum, but he might remember...he might. I met him during my active times on the forums and he seemed to have the funny and witty parts of it. So I added him to my list. With the exception of recently, he always commented in just about every blog I've done.

His completely random blogs he did and still does at times were always a blast to read. (And they have nothing to do with the fact they are the shortest blogs to grace the planet.) If anyone knows his name, you know he's got some funny things to say, as well as good comebacks for things. Such as someone saying that:

"MGS4 for the 360 confirmed" Fangs quoted his message and told him:

"MGS4 for the Wii confirmed." That sort of stuff. What's more is that he's a fellow fan of Tri-Ace, which is always a welcomed part of my blogs! So don't cross him! He's a part of the hijacking crew!
