  Symphonitic Comments Volume I

  Symphonitic isn't a real word. My original! With that said, I bring you the first official volume of Symphonitic Comments. What are they you ask? Well, whenever I find a post, or even a part of a post I find too awesome to just leave it as it, it makes its way to these SC blogs. Whether it is a humorous post or a post with logic, the best goes here! So keep up the amazing comments guys!

  As for frame rate / graphical issues I will say one thing. That seems to be very much a part of the mandatory install process helping with load times. When first playing Gears of War 2 I had some pop-in and a few tears in the scenery. Once I installed it those went away. So this whole "install to hard drive" thing seems to benefit most games quite well. Sadly not Mass Effect which means I can't use this as my "here's one!" sorta thing. Both consoles seem to be around equal footing to be honest, Sony just has more creative folks if you ask me. Their first party titles such as Heavenly Sword and Uncharted along with MGS show that they're not stuck in the whole "wartorn future" thing. Killzone 2 was one deviation but overall they make more varied games with wider color palettes.

  Xbox: Monochrone is awesome!
  Nintendo: Pastels are all the rage!

  I was disappointed in Killzone. I bought it and still haven't finished the campaign because it's just boring to look at... the online was ok, but only 5 maps and I wasn't going to spend money on more.
  
  MGS4, well... I would absolutely LOVE to see it get ported.
  
  Just the sheer magnitude of rage would make my tear ducts dry up with joy.

  Get Over Yourself~Wii Edition

  Nothing better than Symphonycometh viewing an opinion, and then watching the other try and defend their fragile opinion. But this one....will no doubtingly be difficult. It's the Wii after all.

  The Wii is mainly for a different crowd! (Away from the hardened Hardcore gamers unlike other consoles)

  ... *Starts to say something....Remembers how many Wii games he owns....1...which was watered down for the casuals* I think the myth is true...

  All of the good Nintendo franchises have been watered down!

  No it's not! *Dramatically shows off toy Wii-mote* But seriously....We would have to say the PS3 is like a toy then too, since we have a wand coming up. Sure the games are like completely different from the other console, but the concept is the same.........right?

  The Wii is (barely) stronger than the gamecube, which was stronger than the PS2...Do the math...But then again, why are we comparing last-gen consoles to a "current" gen one? Shouldn't we be comparing the powers of the Wii to the 360? PS3?

  Not true. How else do you think we have people defending Super Mario: Milked 1/2 here on Gamespot? Certainly they must be above the age of 14....Even if some of them tipez lik dis...

  Not true. Though the percentage is scary, yes. RE among....Metriod and a few others have plenty of teen-like games.

  Nothing uses the Wii-mote correctly!

  I know of three games that use it decently! I'm sure you Wii owners could name me a few more.

  Get Over Yourself! ~ PS3 Edition

  Nothing better than Symphonycometh viewing an opinion, and then watching the other try and defend their fragile opinion. And this is no better as I list the myths of the chosen console. And since so many of you are 360 owners...

  The Playstation 3 has no games!

  ...Seriously? Are we really still saying that? Even if Playstation 3 exclusives rank higher than 360 ones? (This may or may not do with the fact that the 360 has sooooooooooooooo many poo exclusives and the PS3 usually has back to back 8 or higher games.)

  The Playstation 3 can break down just as quick and easy as the 360!

  Yes...Your "friend's" PS3 received the yellow light of death. Let's automatically assume that 33/16% of PS3s are going to break down now because of the handful of cases you've seen this. By the way, my PS3s been on for almost 3 days nonstop. (again) Is it going to overheat?

  But it can continuously be number 1 in "Best in graphics" to many sites ever since Uncharted came out? Please, no matter what 360 game you may treasure, and how generic some of the PS3 games are, the fact remains: "Best looking console game to date" has been labeled on PS3 games Uncharted, MGS4, and apparently Uncharted 2 is going to hit that too. Sure you don't have to like the games, but hey, maybe(?) there's a reason the games won those awards? Like something to do with the fact that the PS3 CAN handle anything the 360 has to offer.

  Awesome sauce. I'm sorry, but if you gave Blue Dragon the rating 8.0 or higher, as "Been there, done that" as it was, this myth seriously can't hold. Seeing how EVERY decent PS3 exclusive RPG has a more unique plot than Blue Dragon. In direct comparisons, the 360 does have more exclusive RPGs...But take a nice look at how many of them are poo. And if you like said poo games, then certainly the Playstation 3 has RPGs 360 owners could look into. This goes for ALL genres. Quality over quantity. Remember that.

  There's a serious lack of innovative research before making this claim. Sony owners just gloss over them because it isn't God of Precious War. And at this point, the amount of "innovative" titles on the PS3 nearly matches the 360s.

  The Playstation 3 install base is over 8 million behind the 360s!

  So....What 360 are you on? First? Second?... Third?

  "Get Over Yourself~ Wii Edition" Bare with me on this one... Wii owners. As an owner of a PS3 and a Wii...and not JUST a Wii, it's pretty hard not to ignore the actual facts on the Wii. Advanced warning: Why should the 243243th Mario game automatically mean Nintendo is feeding the "hardcore" gamers. That's called "milking" and the little lambs all too eager to milk their 4243423th star.
