Whether it's stomping goombas, blasting aliens, or punching Mike Tyson, you can read about it here.
Saw the movie opening day and I haven't said anything...

THE DARK KNIGHT!

May I simply say that this was the best comic book adaptaion to date. People said Iron Man was great? Tony Stark absolutely bows down to The Dark Knight. Absolute masterpiece.

Whether you're a fan of the bat or not, you NEED to see this movie. Best film of 2008 and one of my favorite movies to date.

Score: 11/10

In depth thoughts about the three E3 conferences: By Superzone and GameSoul15

GAMESOUL15's OPINIONS

Hola my gaming amigos. As I'm sure most of you are also following the coverage on E3, either via gamespot updates or the G4 coverage, I'm going to be talking about some of my initial impressions.

Microsoft - Now as a PS3 owner I'm none to keen on anything MS. But I will admit that Gears of War 2 makes me yearn for for a little LIVE action. But other than Gears, Fable II (which did not look very good), and the other hardcore games they announced at the beginning of the conference the rest of it left my hardcore gaming self rolling around laughing. Their emphasis on casual gaming made me question why there system has a powerful graphics engine and a bunch of processing power. I can see why they would want to pursue the lucrative casual market but I don't think they could have done a worse job. Singstar... I mean "lips..." just made me want to cry honestly. The rest of it was just as bad. And the FF13 announcement while I guess was kinda a blow to Sony, I don't think it was the greatest thing ever. In my opinion, MS is flailing and the blatant rip off of Mii's only proves it to me. MS is going anywhere but up. Score 5/10

Nintendo - Well this had to be the most disappointing conference of the Three. With no huge new announcement that excited me, they really felt more lackluster than ever. Have fun with Animal Crossing, its gonna have to last you for quite awhile, cause its all your getting. They just really left out the hardcore gamers like me. So thats all I have to say. 3/10

Sony - Oh yes, now to the meat and butter of the show. Sony easily had the best conference of all. Showing plenty of new games, and divulging more on some hotly anticipated ones. I'm absolutely drooling over MAG. And the Resistance showing was also very awesome. LittleBigplanet also impressed. The announcement of DC universe also has me intrigued and Sony also had the best line up of exclusives. All in all I'm the most excited about PS3 and not just because I own one. (Though thats certainly part of it ) Now I'll pass it over to my partner in crime, because you're about to enter the Superzone! Score 8/10

SUPERZONE'S OPINIONS

Microsoft - Well... they had Gears 2. That's about it. Honestly, this next twelve months for Microsoft looks pretty weak compared to the previous two years of the system. Sure, it has Resident Evil 5 and Fallout 3... but those are also available on the PS3 (which looks to have a much better line up of games overall). Like GameSoul15 said, their attempt at casual gaming is very poor. Lips!? Uhmm... you mean Singstar!? And I'm pretty sure MS totally ripped off the big N's Mii system. Sounds desperate to me. Overall, MS had it's weakest E3 show since the 360 launched. 4/10

Nintendo - *Sigh*... Nintendo, I love you, but you need to knock off all the attention to the casual s***. It's getting old. Where the hell is StarFox? Metroid Dread? F-Zero? Where the bloody hell are my hardcore games!? Casual games are nice... but come on, enough already! Other than The Conduit, Mad World, and Animal Crossing, I don't have much to look forward to. WiiMusic looks fantastic, and I guess WiiSports Resort looks ok (not to mention the much desired Wii MotionPlus), but seriously, Raving Rabbids? Shaun White Snowboarding? Ugh! I'm gonna go play Smash Bros. Nintendo, give us the hardcore games already. I'm disappointed. 6/10

Sony - No doubt the show stealer. Sony was great this year! Resistence 2, God of War III, MAG. Sweet! Sony is definitely on the right track to catch up to MS and the big N this year. Very nice set of titles indeed. My biggest complaint: I still have NO reason to own a PSP. I still think it's crap. But I have definitely set my sights on owning a PS3 now. This E3 conference really impressed me! 9/10

Nintendo E3 2008 Predictions: Part 2

Likely Announcement #2: Metroid Dread

It's been rumored for a couple of years now and there was a small hint of the game's existense in Metroid Prime 3, but I think this E3 will be the time that Metroid Dread is officially announced. It's supposedly the next game in the "main" series, making it Metroid 5, following Fusion on the GBA. Also supposedly, it's going to be on the DS. If it's going to be a 2D adventure (which it probably will be), I think it also has a great chance of being released on the WiiWare service instead. This is a game that I have been waiting ages for. Well, six years to be exact, since the release of Fusion in 2002. The most exciting part of this is the fact that it will be another 2D Metroid adventure, which to me personally, are the better games in the series. I find them far superior to the first-person Prime series. This should be a likely announcment at E3. I have my fingers crossed.

Hopeful Announcement #2: New StarFox title

While Assault on the Gamecube and Command on the DS were very fun and exciting games, they didn't quite match the awesomeness of Star Fox 64. We definitely need a new Star Fox game for the Wii. One of the biggest and best additions they can give us would be a co-op campaign mode. That would be a blast! Not to mention the usual four player split screen battles. And if they can improve the online play over Command, I'll be in heaven. Imagine huge 16 player dogfights online! Anyway, this isn't a likely announcement, but it's possible. And I would welcome it with open arms.

Nintendo E3 2008 predictions: Part 1

Yo G Spotters. Welcome to my list of predictions for Nintendo at this year's E3. Some of these might be something that has been in your head as well, or it could be a complete surprise. Now these will be a mixture of things that might actually be announced and things that I hope will be announced.

Likely announcement #1: New DS model

I think this is way more than possible. The original DS was launched in late 2004 while the Lite model was launched in mid 2006. So it's very likely that we will get some word on another version, or hopefully, a completely new handheld altogether. I think it really is about time we get our Nintendo DS 2, with better graphics and more features. It would use a new card, but would be able to play original DS games as well. Not to mention this sucker is probably going to be tiny as hell. Only time will tell what our next Nintendo handheld will be like!

Hopeful announcement #1: New Zelda Wii game

Twilight Princess was a great game. A REALLY great game. But it was no Wii game. It was a Gamecube port with waggle control. So what we need now is a Zelda title built from the ground up for the Wii. Whether it be a toon shaded ****like Wind Waker or a realistic setting like Ocarina of Time or Twilight Princess, I really want a new console Zelda to be announced soon!! The chances of this happen at E3 this year are actually pretty good though. Think back to E3 2004. Twillight Princess was announced and it had only been a year since Wind Waker came out! And we are already a year and a half past the TP launch, so the chances of a first look at a new Zelda seem pretty good! At least I hope...

Hulk smash!!!

Saw The Incredible Hulk last night: loved it. Finally! The Hulk gets justice in a live action movie! Edward Norton did a brilliant performance as did Liv Tyler, William Hurt, and especially Tim Roth (The Abomination). If you saw the 2003 movie and hated it like me, go to this and you will forget all about it. What a breath of fresh air! The movie had great action, great lead actors, and some very nice CGI. Action fans, go see this. Now.

4.5/5 stars.
