Hey guys. I got Soul Calibur 4 a few days ago, and am obsessed with it! Wow, graphics looks great, combat is fun, as said, tons of unlockables. So far, I love it, but the online is really the weak point of this game IMO. Its not the lag that reviewers said it had (which, actually, I have had none so far online), more over the players. It just gets boring fighting people online who combo mash over and over again. It gets tiring and I'm sad that I have to play with all of these people who do it. Therefore, I must say, if you combo mash, GO TO HELL!!!! Sure, its fine when you play by yourself, but please, do not show that shame in public (Er, online, whatever). The mic for the ps3 is hardly used here. Pretty much the only time you can talk is when you are waiting in lobbys, and thats boring. Just another reason Sony needs to make a patch for private chat! I'm gonna try to play online with my friend (who dosen't combo mash BTW) once he gets the game and we'll see how that works. I also think that the characters are pretty easy to get (Put a good hour into it and you can unlock about every character), except for THE Aprrentice. He's is broken even when the AI plays as him, and he is very hard to unlock, which i would have liked to have a little more challenge with the other characters and less of him. But the create a warrior add on is really nice, and fairly easy to make a REALLY cool looking character of your own.

    So, onto other things.....

Well, I got a black DS Lite along with Pokemon Pearl for my road trip. Theres so many great games out there, yet I just feel like playing pokemon right now oddly enough

Not else really. I watched Lewis Black's Root Of All Evil a couple nights ago, and aparrently, blogging is the root of all evil, lol.

Its kinda interesting being evil for once,)

So, i'm gonna try to have a SC4 review up soon. I have to play it a little bit more, but i must say, its a blast so far.

    Well, peace everyone!

Wow. I got to watch the Sony press conferance today and i was amazed. Not only did i get to see mor little big, but resistance 2 looked amazing. And God of War 3 is just the thing sony needed to come back with after the whole ff13 deal.

Anyways. The main thing i saw through this whole e3 was the game called MAG, revieled today. That looks EPIC. 255 other players. Squads. I'm in. I hope to see more of this

I'm still waiting for a new DS model! RAWR! God, I have to wait til E3 is over to fully determine wheteher i wanna trade in ym original for a lite, or wait. AND I REALLY WANT A NEW DS!

After playing the orange box, i am really psyched for Half Life 2: Episode 3. Has anyone heard anything about it yet? I would think Valve would show off something. Same with portal 2. AHHH! I'm just in wait.

Anyways, heres my list of games seen that look really cool to me:

    MAG

    God Of WAr 3

    Gears 2

    Little Big Planet

    Chrono Trigger DS

    Wii resort

    Wii Motion

    Animal Crossing: Coty Folk

Mirrors Edge (Might be my most looked forward to. Go check out the trailer if you have not seen it yet!)

    Final Fantasy 13

    Star Ocean 4

Games I have a weird feeling in my belly about: (Looks OKAY. Nothing special.)

Fable 2 (Yep. I will not believe this is the best rpg ever until i see it in full action)

Fallout 3 (The demo looked kinda bland to me)

Rock Band 2 ( Not a fan of the first one)

Resisdent Evil 5 (I know! All of these big titles. Againn, didn't impress me too much)

Halo Wars (Rts halo? It dosen't feel right.)

    Tom Clancy's End War (I just looks.........weird)

Too Human (Hack n' slash: Done it before)

Theres are probably many others i cannot think of right now.....

Well, i'm done. See you guys later

Well, i was bored recently and decided to get a game at the local Walmart here.

I went back to the xbox360 section in the electronics and tried to look for something to hold my interest.

Wow, I was really surprised how many awesome games for the xbox 360 are now only $40

I was surprised and relieved. I mean, I can't go out and pay $60 for every new game that comes out.

Anyways, I decided to get Gears of War. Wow. That game is really fun. And for only $40? I'll pay that any day.

But, after i beat this incredible but short game, I felt bored again. So last night i went out and got the OrangeBox for the xbox360.

People, if i have not bored you this far and if you are still reading, YOU MUST BUY THIS GAME! Not only was it a great deal when it first came out, but now $40? You are paying less than $10 for all of the really high value titles. So i am really hoping that in another year, games that i won't buy immeadiately will become this cheap too. It gives me hope.

Anyways, please do yourself the favor of the Orange Box. Hell, even try to rent it if you don't feel like buying first.

Also, Mass Effect, the winner for RPG of the year last year, and Bioshock, the winner of numerous game of the year awards are both $40 too. So, i hope some of you might consider one of the games for a rainy day.

So, i'll see ya guys later

    Peace- Steelpoppy

Well, i woke up today and got on my computer to gamespot, and i have a message waiting for me saying that I clearly insulted someone. What?, I say. I go and check my recent posts in the last 24 hours, and the only one that could be taken wrong was me saying that i really didn't like the wii, and in my opinion, only Grandparents and little kids play it. So, if i did get modded off saying that, all i must say is, WTF. I consider that true since i rarely play my wii, and my Grandparents and little cousins go crazy over it. Anyways

Yet, oddly enough, I still do not think it is that, considering nobody was writing hate posts after me.

    Hmmmmmm.

Well, I did get in a scuffle with another guy two days ago, but we didn't really say anything offensive to each other and we eventually saw each others points out.

Gaaah! It would be so much easier if they just put in the message what you wrote!

But, i'm not trusting the mods whatsoever. Getting modded for not posting in the sticky thread, WTF? IF you DO post in the sticky thread, nobody will ever answer your question, and if someone does, its not near the amount of people that would respond if it were a new thread.

Mods, Think about it. I'm not too happy with you considering you get after people for really stupid things, like stickys. I mean, the reason i come here is to get info, but you tell me that i must post in the sticky thread which helps me in no way. Mods, instead of telling the people to think about what they should be careful of, I think you need to take a step back and do the same.

Whatever, I can't stand talking about this anymore

    Peace-

Alright, chances are if you own a PS3, the 2.4 update is gonna be really big to you and millions of other people. With the addition of in game chat (something they need to do at launch to be at par with the 360), XMB Crossbar in game to select music and, hopefully, search the web (the addition of internet would push the ps3 past the xbox360 with in game capabilities), and finally, trophies for your hard earned time in games which WILL be aoutmatically correspond with HOME once it comes out. I usually would not like a meaningless excuse to say that you have done more in a game than your fellow comrade (I.E. Achievements), but i feel that the trophies will be fun and also, will give me another reason to play over my games again.

BUT!, the only problem is that nobody knows really what date it will be launching on. I'm sitting here twiddling my thumbs saying, "Come on guys, it can't be that hard to figure out a date. Either you guys have no idea whats going on and you really don't have it finished, or you just want us to wait in hope so it will make us over-hyped over the update, which i hope the latter is true, unfortunately." Its keeping us all in wait! I need some trophies! Release the thing soon before you have a riot on your hands, lol.

There are rumors about the update hapenning this month, others this week, but nobody really knows for sure. Seek it out! Fight the power! Its gotta happen sometime.

    Peace- Steelpoppy

This topic is another problem that i see with many people out there. Many people, regardless of whether they think that they're hot stuff or newbs alike all have a problem with doing. Hell, I'll even admit that i don't use teamwork sometimes. Its hard to do sucessfully for awhile, but once you get the hang, its simple.

    Tip # 2: Teamwork

We all haven't worked as a team in halo, or in life at one point or another. But teamwork can really help in most situations in Halo and its very helpful to have someone covering you. This is simple to do. Lets start with voice communications. These are a must you will need to use your mic to fully support teamwork. First of all, make nicknames or codenames for places on the map you are playing on (I.E. On the map Blackout, you can easily identify the towers as to where certain items spawn at; Sniper Tower, BR Tower, Shotgun Tunnel, etc.). This will help out everyone enormously because if you are killed, you can shout out to your team mates to where you were killed at so they know there is an enemy in that area (Whether they wan't to avoid the enemy or take them out will be made apparent to them.) Coincidentaly, if you kill an enemy, you should have a code that will say that the enemy is dead and you are fine. For this, i usually say "Tango Down" to alert players on my team that the enemy is dead. I have not had one person ask me yet what that means in game. Its very reliable.

Now that we're done with voice communications, we can move onto teamwork in combat. This next section works well if you have a team of friends who know how to play Halo and know what weapons they are best with. Assaign people to go get the weapons they are best with to where those weapons reside on the map. If someone is good with all weapons or does not have a preferance, send them with the weakest player to get the weakest player's weapon of choice as back up. This works well, but you realy need a team of friends to make it happen.(I haven't seen how this would work in matchmaking, but i do not think it would work well since you most likely will not know what weapons the other players are the best with)

    How To Practice:

For the voice communications, just try to use them on any team based game. It may sound awkward at first, but after playing awhile, i'm sure that you'll pick it up from experience with other players.

For the combat, my suggestion is to try to get a group of friends together to play halo and follow said instructions.

Hope this helped! Until next time, peace~ Steelpoppy

Hey guys. I wanted to share a few tips with you guys about Halo 3 that will help you stay alive. I was recently playing Halo 3 and noticed how blunt most people are online about some things that could really help them in the long run. I would rather not say it, but there was many newb moves being played out there. But, thats why i'm here! I have some tips that will help anyone out there, and i can bet on it!

Tip #1: Aim For The Head!

Now at first glance, this seems really obious. Of course you would want to aim for the head! It does more damage than aiming at any other body part on an enemy! Well, with this said, i'm surprised how many people do not aim for the enemy's head. NEWB MOVE! I can't tell how many times i have seen a person shooting at an enemy's torso while their enemy makes swiss cheese of their head. Its outrageous!

    How To Practice:

Some of those out there might say that the reason they do not aim for the other's head is because they have a bad aim and it won't do damage. Well guess what? If you want to stand a chance against people, you're gonna have to learn this tactic. Luckily I have a few tips on how to practice this. Play SWAT! This game type practically makes you learn you to headshot since thats the easiest way to kill others. I can't tell you how much this game type has helped me in many ways. Now i can easlily beat most because i can headshot and they can't. I'm not saying that i'm awesome, but knowing how to headshot is a must to overcome newbs and get in a little pwnage.

    What Weapons To Use:

The main weapon you will use to gain headshots is the Battle Rifle. The Sniper rifle will also apply, but you cannot practice on SWAT with one. My suggestion is to get a few people to play with you on a custom game made to help you practice with the sniper since it is sometimes hard to find games like that on matchmaking. Am I hearing a round of Shotty Snipers? You can also pull off headshots with the Assault Rifle, but be wary. The accuracy is sometimes random and every shot might not hit if you aim for the head. Try it and see what happens!

I hope this all helped a few of you. Look for more of these tips during the summer. Peace~ Steelpoppy.
