Retroscope Visions: Memories Alive V2

"The strangest of the strange
The coldest of the cool
The lamest of the lame
The numbest of the dumb
A fake behind the fear
The queerest of the queer

Hide inside your head
The blindest of the blind
The deadest of the dead
You're hungry 'cause you starve
While holding back the tears
Choking on your smile
The queerest of the queer"

Just completed the game on hard difficulty with Q.

Jesus. It took me 2hrs and 30mins on Sega Dreamcast. After the first 8 challengers, Ken was the first to stump me. After coming to the conclusion of usinging the turtling techiniqe instead, I defeated him. Akuma took most of the time defeating. But you gotta love his teleportation = instant throw-down.

Ahh. At last, Gil - not much of a challenge since his recovery segment can be easily broken with Q's dash attack. Here are the stats I used

    Character: Q
    Costume: LP (Pimpin' White)
    Difficulty: *******(hard)
    Super Arts: Deadly Double Combination

Besides that, I have been practicing with Oro as my primary. Although, I still need to become more aggresiive on my throws.

Decided to post a list of retro-games I actually own to this day. I have held own to quite a alot, but I did make two big mistakes - Selling 95% of my Supter Nintendo collection (26 games + console) and keeping 4 games with no console. As for Nintendo (NES) I usually rented the titles. For Genesis/MegaDrive I never owned it, my friend would let me borrow the console. Atari 2600, sold as well as most of my Sega Saturn titles.

Here we go - I will post in order of buying each game. if they are italics, means I have sold the game and is no longer with me

    Nintendo:

    Mario Bro.
    Duck Hunt
    Little Nemo
    sold 15 others

    Super Nintendo:

    Mega Man 7
    Super Mario World
    Contra 3: The Alien Wars
    The Combatribes
    Kirby 3
    sold 26 others

    GameBoy Pocket:

    Bomberman GB
    Battle Arena Toshinden
    Pokemon Blue
    Ren and Stimpy
    Mega Man Xtreme
    Power Quest

    Sega Saturn:

    Virua Fighter 2 (bundle)
    Virua Cop (bundle)
    Daytona USA (bundle)
    Die Hard Arcade (Pre-Ordered)
    Nights: Into Dreams
    Robo-Pit
    Fighers Megamix
    X-Men Vs Street Fighter
    Vampire Savior

    Sega Dreamcast:

The King of Fighter Dream Match 1999
    Gundam Side Story 0079
    Psychic Force 2012
    ChuChu Rocket!
    Street Fighter 3: Third Strike

    Tech Romancer (Pre-Ordered)
    Project Justice
    Cannon Spike (Pre-Ordered)
    Bomberman Online
    Worms World Party

    Playstation:

    Trap Gunner
    DragonBall GT: Final Bout
Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back
    Tales of Destiny
    Destrega
No One Can Stop Mr. Domino!
    Spin Jam
    Silhouette Mirage
    Team Buddies
    Rival Schools: United by Fate
    Galerians
    Evil Zone
    Rat Attack!
    Digimon Rumble Arena
    BoomBots
    One Piece Mansion
    Gundam Battle Assault 2

PS2 list will be quite long, as for GC as well.

    Now i'm pissed.

Underground-Gamer banned me twice, and now mysteriouslly removed two of my other accounts. I was originally invited by my good friend Racketboy as of 2003. Since then I uploaded to the community with rarity finds such as Robo-Pit for Sega Saturn, Poy Poy for Playstation, and Team Buddies for Playstation. My ratio was suffering because of my ISP - even though I would leave my torrents on night/day for weeks on end.

Shortly after my first account ba*itba*k was banned. Registeration was open, so I opened another account under M*ch*pe. Only selectivly downloading files in which my ISP can handle. But I was banned again.

My third attempt was with account stealthrush. In which I was progressing in sharing large torrents (specificly the collections) that would boost my ratio. It wasn't until I forgotten my password after a '6-month hiatus' to the specific account that I decided to create a new one. My fouth account ke*pie. My ratio was promoted, and I was in the clear. But last week when I tried to log on UG did a massive account sweep cleaning out bots I assume. And now I cannot log in to none of my accounts, including my new one. Now registation is closed, and invite only. EmuParadise can only satisfy so much

*astreks were placed in between specific usernames to block related tag-bot searches

Decided to play some Street Fighter EX 2 Plus for Playstation. I still remember playing Street Fighter EX in the arcades and being blown away seeing the cast in three dimentions.

When it was ported for Playstation I instantlly picked it up. But that also reminds me of its standard difficulty. Since it was more than 10 years ago, and I was alot younger, I use to complain on how the reaction time of each fighter was off. Since the game was running in in 3-D, it seemed a tab bit slower pulling off classic SF combos.

Today I was remined on its difficutly after getting owned by Ken in the 4th stage of the arcade mode. Where I wouldn't say its 100% balanced, it really just takes time to get use to it. But since then looking back at this, it was a milestone in 2.5D fighting from its counterpart Final Fight: Revenge which was also a 3-D (or 2.5D) Versus Fighter.

Skullomania, and D. Dark need to make more apperances in the Capcom universe!

Square Enix's new horror suvival game set for Nintendo DS Nanatsu no Geemu "Game with No Name"

With the Japanese release date coming up (July 3rd) more information emerged as well as the official website. Due to Gamespot's policy of embeding videos, a link will be provided instead Trailer of Square Enix's Upcoming Horror-Survial Game Nanatsu no Geemu debuting on Nintendo DS

Lets just hope Sqaure decides to internationally realease it. From the Trailer and Screenshots i'm super exicied It totally makes me forget about the awful Homecomin- what was it?

What are your thoughts on the title? Feedback encouraged.

I've decided to take a break from my retro-gaming blog to post a more personal entry. Since next generation games are all the hype - this gives me a chance to grab some of last-generations missed wonders. For instance, I've picked up Fatal Frame III: The Tormented /PS2 for under twenty dollars, its value goes for $50+. Its not only for the investments, but the actual product. Here are some specific retro consoles, and games i'm interested in. The list is ordered from most desired down.

    Hardware:

    PC Engine
More specificlly, the PC-Engine DUO-RX which has both Hu-Card slot, and CD already installed.
    X6800
Sharp's pre-16 bit wonder with excellent titles, would be a great inventment
    FM Towns Marty
again, proves to be more than just a CD-i
    Neo Geo
AES / MVS proves to be a solid investment for 2-D fighting enthusiasts

    Software:

    Playstation
    ÷ Gangway Monsters
    ÷ REMOTE CONTROL DANDY SF
    ÷ Speed Power Gunbike
    ÷ Clock Tower
    ÷ Shadow Tower

    Other
    ÷ Pu-Li-Ru-La - SAT
    ÷ Frame Grid - DC
    ÷ J-Pheonix - PS2
