Oh, life these days... I have been so busy and even at points forgotten about TV.com, I'm sorry to say. But one must wonder if this is a sign of growth or maybe it falls under the general category of moving on...? Just because I may have outgrown this website does not mean that it has outgrown me. Nor does it mean that I wish I hadn't been on more lately. TV still is one of the greatest passions of my life and I hope it will continue to be.

With all that being said, I will say that I have finished my first year in college! I wonder what is in store for my second year? And with that I must also say I have lost two of my guides. Well three if you consider how one was stolen from me, but that's OK because I stole a guide from someone and now that's gone, lol... Oh, wait. Looking back, this takes me to my TV Tome days when that one guide that was stolen from me and then I lost it because I was a bad editor was originally mine. The world just works in funny circles, but JetixMasterDan is going to do a wonderful job with Dragon Ball Z because he already was when he was editor. Anyway, I'm really sad about losing Tsubasa, but I am willing to own up to it because it is all my fault. But you know, my loss is a gift to someone else.

My point is that I'm still around, even if it isn't all that much. I'm sorry and I really miss my friends on here and wish you all the best.\

PS: This wasn't a goodbye at all. I'm having a boring summer, so will be checking out the boards again, lol...

Everyone!! How have y'all been? I have been so super busy lately - I have an actual job and I'm going to a rather prestigeous college in the fall (but I already did a month-long summer program that where I was basically like on lockdown). However, I have not given up on TV or anime, not even this website. I have put so many hours into my guides, I must continue, no matter how busy I get. I love TV so much and I'm so addicted that my plan for college is to get a BA in English, specifficaly for creative writing (because I want to be some sort of fiction writer if I don't write screenplays and what not) with a possible double major in film. Film is my number one minor otherwise. I plan on getting a master's in Film.

Currently, I'm watching/reading Naruto, only the official uncut VIZ stuff though. I'm not caught up with the episodes in Japan or the United States and I don't read the scanlations. I've been religiously watching Bleach on [adult swim], and reading the scanlations, however I don't watch the fansubs. I have been playing Pokemon Pearl on my DS while play various games on the Wii. Managing all this with a healthy social/family life and work - and soon schoolwork - has gotten pretty tough.

With all that being said, I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm still alive and I still check the basics of TV.com even if I'm not frequenting the message boards. Regarding the second title, my newest best friend is a "Musical Theater Master" so I've been addicted to musicals. I've seen Wicked in the theater three times already (I plan to see it more soon) and I just went to see Hairspray in the theater, I wish I could see that on Broadway right now - Ashley Parker Angel is Link, LOL! (I watched the whole first season of Making the Band, pop was cool back in the day.) I still HEART CLAMP.

FIRST: Anyone notice that I'm still going with my double-titled blogs theme??
Anyway, there's so much to do, but I have nothing to do, LOL! I'm trying to work on my guides, but there's so much to take care of and then I get discouraged. Then I try to feel confident and get distracted... I probably have ADD or I just get bored really easily.
So, I'm working on my Dragon Ball Z (Uncut) guide right now, especially with those new releases. I'm having a problem... some may already know about it. Look in the forums for that show and you'll understand. I PM'ed the editor of the main Dragonball Z show, but I haven't heard back yet! Argh! I'm also working on my other FUNimation show Tsubasa because that's new! Sorta... my problem with that is that the DVD doesn't make any sense. The credits, I mean. Actors are credited even when they weren't in the episode while others who were aren't! I'm so confused. Also, at least two of my shows are in the top 100 animation. Yay!
Also, Aeon Flux!! I'm the editor... how and when did that happen? Weird...

Okay, I just saw Grindhouse with my stepdad. It was kind of awkward because there are some naughty parts. But I have to say: It was pretty frickin' awesome! I want it on DVD so badly. Death Proof was especially good. Planet Terror just wasn't as good in comparisson. However, looking back, it was great

Also, happy Easter? And look at my last blog because it still applies.

That's right!! It's pretty exciting. I am a part of the "Win with Words" week. Please, watch! 7:30pm on the Game Show Network.

Anyway, the second title of this blog is because I have started to like Naruto. Before, I just couldn't understand why everyone loved a crazy ninja on crack. However, the show is way more than that. How many ninja shows are on the air right now anyway? (On that subject, I always ask my friend: How many pirate shows are on TV? The only one that comes to mind is One Piece)

Since I last wrote a blog, I saw Wicked and loved it, more than The Wizard of Oz, which is saying A LOT! I have become obssessed with the soundtrack. It's really good.

Right now, I am on spring break and I am going to challenge myself by trying to make one episode of any of the TV shows I edit complete, like the episode will have quotes and recaps and cast, everything. Except, tomorrow doesn't count because I am going to Knott's Berry Farm. Yay!

I have been so Bleach-crazy lately! That's basically all I've been doing, just watching the episodes. I was reading the manga, but I am all caught up with VIZ's releases. I am also planning to be fully caught up with the Japanese airings before I start reading the manga again because someone pointed out that it is better to watch the TV show or movie of a book first. Then, your expectations won't be as high and things won't be so shocking if they are done differently... I feel like I am rambling. I probably am.

The point is: Bleach!!! I stay home on Saturay nights now, just to watch it. It's a great shonen show and I am glad that I get to watch it while it is still on the air (unlock Dragon Ball Z).

What was the poont of this blog? I don't know! I guess I just wanted to let everyone know that I am watching Bleach!

Everyone! How have you been... I haven't been around too much. I'm so sorry. I just realized how much I loved this site in the past and how I could never ever leave it. EVER! Ahh!!!

How has everyone been? Just post something quick so I know.

I've been okay. I have been so busy with school. At one point, I was having 13-hour school days! That really sucked. Everything's all right now. I am managing my Advanced Placement classes, but Film History is taking the fun out of watching movies and it shouldn't! Argh! And getting into college is no easy feat. Hmph!

This site is dedicated to televsion. I am currently watching everything on the CW during primetime Tuesday-Thursday, so Veronica Mars and Gilmore girls, Smallville and Supernatural (which I have been forgetting to watch!), and Beauty and the Geek with One Tree Hill. I am obssessed with Heroes on Monday and I can't wait for Lost to return - it's going to get really good.

But, I am an anime lover. I try to watch adult swim on Saturday, but it has not worked out very well. It doesn't matter. Bleach is the best show on at that time and I've seen the episodes they are currently airing. My best friend just got me hooked onto the Japanese One Piece, though I was a fan of the manga when it first came out.

Well, that's about it for now. Bye!

Yay! I've been trying to get that guide for a while. I had to get a lot of points thought because the staff wouldn't do anything about the inactive editor. So, I feel like I accomplished something really big. To go with capturing the Tsbuasa Chronicle guide, I want the xxxHOLiC guide really badly... will I manage to do it? I hope so!

Alternate Title: "A Little More Personal (RAW)" (LOL! Lindsay Lohan.)

I decided to make the title of this blog straightfoward. So, happy Cinco de Mayo! I'm not going to do anything. Well, I am going to see an anime movie (in theaters, ooh!) with my stepdad. But my stepdad is from the Mediterranean, so that's slightly weird. (So you know, the movie is Trinity Blood and it's from FUNimation. It's only out this weekend, so go to [url]funimationfilms.com[/url] to see if it's playing nere you.) I'm actually part Hispanic. Yay me! Is anyone else here? Sadly, while I am part Hispanic, you may find that my support of the immigration laws upsetting. However, I am not actually doing anything about it, so I don't think anyone could really get mad at me. (By the way, what are you doing to celebrate? ~ Cinco de Mayo I mean.)

    [Insert]
Question of the Blog: Which TV shows do you secretly watch and which guide would you secretly wish to take away from its editor on TV.com?

Now the sad part... I had to put that little insert before so I wouldn't ruin the mood of this which is continued from right after the Cinco de Mayo stuff: And why would you be mad at me today? I just recently discovered that I was in love with a girl, but I didn't eve realize it. Yep and I don't know why I didn't realize it. The signs were really obvious. But, I haven't seen her in over a month. We went to the same school, had all the same classes, worked at the same place, and even traveled halfway around the world with each other. The saddest part is that I'm not even sure if she considered me a friend.

Now... I am sad because she's gone. She went crazy and that's not a joke. She was put in a mental institution or recovering center or whatever you want to call it. She tried being an outpatient, having to go back every night, but it didn't work. She didn't live with either of her parents and I heard that she finally went to live with her dad. I finally managed to speak with her brother who goes to my school. I thought this girl had many friends at our school, but I am the only one to ask him about her. Her brother told me that she is in a rehab center, a very Christian-type place... I guess she's there for her smoking habits or whatever. Imagine me, an asthmatic falling in love with a secret smoker. That is so like me. Anyway, he told me that she would be there for six months and she wasn't really allowed to have visitors, especially boys.

But, I really need to see her, or at least talk to her. She left me with so many unanswered questions. I want to know about things she did and the way she was acting before she left. Why did she do it? And more importantly, are we friends?

What doesn't make sense is that she's not allowed visitors for such a long time. The distance doesn't even matter to me because I can drive. I'd go anywhere. I just read a story in literature class about a woman who sent her children away during the Depression to a convalescent home. The children weren't allowed physical contact with their parents, but the narrator was later implying that that just doesn't work. Back to me, I should be allowed to see her... I can't wait another 6 months.

Ever since she left, I've been slowly getting more depressed. I just don't like doing things anymore. My parents took my brother to the Renaissance fair last weekend, but I didn't go. I love it, but I just wanted to stay home and I didn't even do anything while they were gone. But, everything happens all at once right? Passing the time will be really hard for me, especially because I'm not working this summer.

Original Title: "Ignoring it... because I'm me."

*I've been meaning to do this for a while, but I am now going to title my blogs with random things that might have some meaning. Like today, my boss said something about flying to the moon. Then, I said, "Like Frank Sinatra." This is when a teacher began whistling the song. LOL! Fly Me to the Moon is my favorite Frank Sinatra song, probably because it is the ending theme to Evangelion. I love Utada's version. With these cute little stories at the beginning of the blogs, I wil put the original title. It should be noted that Frank Sinatra has nothing to do with the rest of this blog and what I am like...

Hey everyone. I was wondering why two random people I've never even
spoken to are "tracking" me. Well it's because I got community
spotlight. However, following what I said in my Important Words blog (http://www.tv.com/users/StarlightMaker/profile.php?action=show_blog&entry=m-100-189866), I have decided to ignore the fact that I got community
spotlight. I do the weirdest things sometimes, but just read that
blog and you'll understand how I was feeling a couple of months ago.

I wonder who does the community spotlight thing anyway. Is it missribs?
Because if it is, thanks for the offer, though I have no choice. I've
been bugging missribs a lot lately, so I feel like she deserves a big
    thanks!

Anyway, I can't believe people like my new banner. I've
been getting so many comments on here about it and that surprises me
because I don't think it's that good. I love the type of banner like
user Talvix has, but I can't figure out how to do that. Ha ha hah! I'm
so uncreative and unartistic that I can't use Photoshop. Back when we
could make banners for shows (can we still submit those and if yes,
where?) I tried to make some for Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball Z, but I
failed miserably. I want to make one for xxxHOLiC (which I highly
recommend everyone see, especially when it is legally released in
English - see my other blog below!), but I know I would fail at that
too. Anyway, I like that I didn't even have to tell people about my
banner this time. I guess it just wasn't good before, LOL! (See, I'm
always laughing.) I thought that it was really good before, but I guess
it's better this time. My banner can also be viewed in my forum posts.

While I am ignoring the community spotlight thing (and it should be noted
because I don't want to be considered a hypocrite) I want to say more
people should watch anime and obtain it legally. That advice even goes
for me. Sadly, my recent Internet activity has convinced me to erase
many of my blogs and one of them was a collection of all my TV shows on
DVDs. I have over 200 of them!

I love all the guides I edit, so make sure to check them out. Maybe you'll find a new love.

PS: The big space at the top of this blog is really bothering me! TV.com staff, please fix these errors.

Yay! That makes me so happy. Someone in that forum asked why they would put a guide for a show that's currently only airing in Japan. Well, it was thanks to my constant persistence. See... annoying TV.com staff does get you somewhere. LOL!

Anyway, for those of you who don't know, xxxHOLiC is one of CLAMP's latest and is my personal favorite, but don't listen to this blog... just read my review! Make sure to check the guide out and maybe watch an episode if you can find it.

Or, if you want to be totally legal, read the manga! It's in English already. The seventh volume comes out at the end of this month. To classify for those who are going to read this blog: _Rex, watch it when it's in English because it's Production I.G and you are like me in the sense that I'm always attracted to Production I.G's works like GitS and Eva... Lina, you like CLAMP don't you. I've told you of a place before where you can get this kind of stuff. Go back and watch it. Maybe you can work on the guide with me.

Okay... the original title for this blog was "Trip to Las Vegas" and the first paragraph was: "For those of you wondering, yes... I actually tripped all the way to Las Vegas." However, I just remembered what I wanted to say, so I'll put it after the rest of the blog, which is now all over

    the pla
    ce.

Anyway, yeah... I got back from Las Vegas today. I don't think I told anyone that I was gone, so that shouldn't be a problem, LOL! I had lots of fun. However, with all the money my parents won, I would have thought I would have gotten more than they gave me. But, I was happy to discover Kingdom Hearts -Final Mix- when I got home today.

Now, I can kinda start working on my guides again. I've not really been doing them lately because I've been so busy. I just wanted to say that. I thought I was going to say more, but I got nothing right now.

    Yeah, um... okay. Bye!

    New portion about Arnold Schwarzenegger:
So, living in LA has its advantages. Two weeks ago I went to the world premiere of the Behcnwarmers and all the celebs were there. I sat down with my party in a place we weren't supposed to be sitting it, but we were never moved. This is when my mom told me that Arnold Schwarzenegger was sitting behind me. Now, she usually makes fun of people, but she was dead serious. She told me that she had noticed a guy with an ear piece in a Hawaiian shirt. She wondered why there would be secret service, or whatever they were, because the celebs aren't that big. But the governor of California is pretty big! ~ I hope that didn't come out the wrong way.

I wanted to say hi or something because he was so close. Then I thought that I didn't want to be hassled by his bodyguards (like he needs them) and honestly, I would said something stupid like his opinion on Indian gaming laws... seriously! That would have just slipped right out of my mouth. But, he was with his family. I didn't know he had kids. Did you? His wife laughed so loudly. I was non-stop laughing too. I think I thought it was funny because it was so ridiculous. I could not stop laughing at every little thing. I didn't even think the movie was that great. I found out that he was there because his son was in the movie! I'm so happy for them.

Yeah, so Kingdom Hearts II shipped yesterday, so most stores will get it today. I got the guide yesterday because they always come early and they sell like hot cakes. I've waited so long for this game. I hate how the first one ended in a cliffhanger. Why?! And then they make us wait over three years to find out what happens. I am truly excited. Is anyone else going to get this game or has anyone else played the first one?

Anyway, this means that all my time is going to be devoted to this game for the next week or two. I'm going to TiVo all my shows for later and I don't know if I'll even go online! Yeah... so this is just to let people know. Bye!

Click to visit the FUNimation Films Site!

Oh my God! I am so excited. I am so going tomorrow night, no matter what. I just found out through MapQuest that I live 8 minutes away from one of the theaters and I drive, so I'll make it. Everyone, go and see the movie! It's a once in a lifetime event. Click the link for info, or post a comment. I'll reply!

I don't know if most people know, but most stores that sell or rent videos usually get their new stuff on Fridays. So, they make you wait four days until you can watch/buy the video you want. Now, I go to an anime store (which has one of the major cross streets as my house) which sells/rents out a lot of bootleg videos. I was surprised to discover that they get their stuff on Fridays too and they began selling Howl's Moving Castle on Friday! Now, I didn't have enough money on me to buy it because the anime store sells everything at regular price and Howl's Moving Castle usually costs $29.99...

I decided to wait. After school today I rushed to Best Buy. I discovered Howl's and My Neighbor Totoro there and just had to buy it. They had a really good first day selling price of $17.99. But, when I got up to the register, they went to $19.99 and I corrected the guy. However, he misheard me and put $16.99 for each, and I didn't say anything about that. Why correct a good thing?

Anyway, Howl' is my most favoritest movies. I love it so much. I saw it three times in the theater and I went in without realizing what it was. I was so upset on Sunday. How could Wallace & Gromit beat out such a wonderful and amazing film? I mean, Spirited Away won the Oscar in 2002 and everyone I've talked to said that Spirited was awesome, but Howl's was even better. I'm just so outraged. Why do people frown upon anime?? The original story isn't even Japanese. The movie is based on a British novel. Whatever!

Okay... I just want to say that everyone should seriously go out and see this movie. It's so incredible and I know that a lot of people, even if they are not anime fans, will really enjoy it. ;D

Originally, I was going to title this blog "What really grinds my gears..." but then I thought that would be too cliche and no one would read this. But, I guess this blog is really about what grinds my gears with TV.com.

    First
This is about those TV.com staff. I honestly feel like none of them care. Maybe they do for other people, but snide never replied to one of e-mails after the first month. Then there is emaldalani. This staff member is okay I guess, but when I asked to be emaldalani's trusted contributor for Catscratch, I never received a reply! However, emaldalani replies when I am complaining. Then, there is missribs. I am so happy with her. (missribs is a girl, right? I just figured from the 'miss' part in the user name.) I sent her a PM regarding an inactive editor and [she] sent me a PM back that same day; [she] explained and even accepted my submissions and told me to inform a staff member if my submissions stayed pending for too long. So, there's the staff.

    Then
There are those crazy people who submit asinine things to your guide and you are just like, "Uh..." Most editors will know what I mean. (I would love a comment from others on this one.)

    The No Comments
Speaking of comments, it pisses me off how I see a lot of people, like me, that post blogs and receive minimal comments. Then, there are those that have so many. How the [freak] do they do it?! I feel bad because I don't comment a lot. (Chiroptera_Rex, I love your recaps and I'm sure I'll love your blogs once I get to reading them.)

    So Clicky
I intended to have this section in a separate blog, but I just fell like getting everything out in one blog.

So, let's see. I've just been feeling that a lot of people on this site are so clicky. I may be one of them. I don't judge myself and I don't consider my self to be anything. I feel like my biggest philosophy after not making decisions when you're upset is to not consider yourself (this applies to everyone!) as anything; you may be too cocky and come off as arrogant, or even sell yourself short. Anyway, my point is that I go on the main forums (which I hate!) and I click on to profiles and see that they have like a million shows that they edit and I've never even heard of these people. The following sections of this blog are sort of playing off this one...

    Why all animated?
Okay... this was another thing I wanted to have a separate blog for, but I felt like it would be taking up too much space. You see, I've been questioning why every show I edit is animated. It seems so odd to me. Can I not find a normal show? Something else I've been wondering is if cartoons are for losers. -- But, wait! Hear me out first before you get angry. I've just been questioning many things lately and wondering if I will grow out of cartoons as some people do. Then I realized that they make me happy. Isn't that all that matters? My own happiness. If it makes you happy and you're not physically harming yourself or doing something illegal I say just do it. It shouldn't matter what anyone else thinks. This is one truth.

So, I've come to understanding that I'll allow people to judge me. But I don't have to listen. Quoting Nicole Richie, "I'm not judgemental, but I can judge mentals."

Also, you may notice I'm a trusted contributor for Tru Calling. However, I don't edit the show and I don't think I would take it away from the editor. There is that and I'm letting someone borrow the complete series on DVD, so I can't really work on that guide at the present time.

    Sticking
Next for me is sticking with those people that you can trust. I have three trusted contributors and I consider them to be my peeps. I'm really happy with all of them, even though I have one a lot of $#!+. But I think he's forgiven me, right? My next trusted contributor really helps me out a lot and sometimes I feel like he should be editor, so I'm so thankful for him. (We even have the same name, LOL!) Last is my newest trusted contributor Linagabriev. She is so wonderful and such a hard worker. I'm thankful for her too. That's about all the people I talk to. I don't even talk to my first trusted contributor that much, so whatever.

    No longer adjusting
Now, I'm happy to announce that I am no longer adjusting to TV.com's way of doing things. Sadly, this may be because I was only on TV Tome for a short period of time. Other editors may disagree. But I like the format and I've become obsessed with this website. I also like how I am the editor for so many shows and I wouldn't have been able to do so on TV Tome. It's all about the formatting, baby!

    Interesting Stuff
Here I am typing and I am looking at the new level counter on everyone's profiles and I think they are so awesome. It's one of those improvements I'm very happy with. Sadly, I am also looking at my level emblem and it is the ugliest I have ever seen. I have to get out of Level 26.

    Closing
Shoot... I know that I am forgetting something, but I just can't think of what. I hope people will comment on this blog. I would appreciate it very much. I will probably add more later. I don't think this blog can ever finish.
  • 21Dec 05
No... it's not a board game.

Okay, so with me not following through with what I said I'd do in my last blog, I thought that it would be nice to create a new one proclaiming my newest TV.com achievement. I currently have the editor position for all the Sailor Moon shows under my built. This makes me very happy because I just love the shows so much. I'm glad I can do things right. You know... the TV.com way. Sadly all the guides (except PGSM) need some definite fine-tuning and a re-doing of the entire casts!! It's okay. I'll manage. In the meantime, I actually have to finish PGSM... Look, it's hard when the show isn't in North America! I have to obtain the show through other means... Very unstable means.

Anyway, I would appreciate the opinion of others. I would love to know where I should take the guides and what seriously needs to be fixed.

    PS
I spell checked this blog and the word blog is apparently incorrect. Whatever!

Okay! I have a pretty big goal for TV.com. I want to give main banners for every TV show on this site! It seems like an impossible task, but I'm going to try (and get someone to help me) to do this because I think it would brighten up the show. The majority of shows (that I watch anyway) don't have banners. I want banners, please! However, I'm so uncreative and failed at many attempts to creat a Dragon Ball Z (Uncut) banner. You may notice that I have my own personal banner, but compared to others, it's pretty crappy, LOL! So... can anyone help me? Tell me if you know of someone who could help me creat show banners because I have fantastic pictures!
