Star Wars: Empire at War
I sort of ripped this game in my review, and perhaps it was justified. Figured out a fix to my problem with the game. I most certainly think it's an issue with Dual Core processors.
Let me recap my issue. SW:EaW locks up frequently with my machine. My machine: AMD64x2 4800+. 1gb OCZ memory. BFG7800GT-OC. Windows XPsp2. Runs all my other games just fine. The game also did this with several SW:EaW demos I downloaded.
After exhausting several ideas, I finally tried going to the shortcut and running the game in a Windows 2000 environment.
Result: Game runs flawlessly.
Result: Already played out the Rebel side. Playing the Imperial side now. Pretty fun game, wished it would last longer. But then, there'd be no need for a sequel right?
