  For those keeping track: add Muscle Paralysis to my list of college injuries

  I'm an idiot...
  
  That's the majority of what you should understand from this post. My new rule of thumb, is when something hurts a whole lot, NOT to ignore it, and rather go see a doctor.
  
  About 4 months ago i woke up with excruciating arm pain, and only now do i go do something about. Turns out i did nerve damage on my back that paralyzed the muscle that attaches my shoulder blade to my ribs. Sounds bad, don't it... well it sucks... I wonder if i'll get a cripple badge and a bunch of pity sex... forget the badge, i'll just take the latter.
  
  Also i guess this makes me even more like Dr. House... which is a plus.
  
  Anyone wanting to be Cameron, send me a picture and i'll see what I can do.

  Yes I'm making a movie, No you cannot be in it, Yes you can watch...

  That last part is actually an exaggeration, I'd rather not have too many ppl on set. ^_^
  
  Well it's official, green light go and we're into Pre-Production.... well... pre-production technically doesn't start until the script is complete, but sue me, we've started pre-production..... by we, i mean the Director, Producer, Screenwriter, and 1 crew member.... I take two of those credits, while the Director (and major financer) is a close friend and a second close friend is the only crew member officially signed on (do the math to figure out what my role is )
  
  point is this, movies are ****ing hard to make.... even cheap Indie films..... well cheap in movie standards, at a high water mark budget of about 10 thousand dollars, nothing is really cheap...... point is this, I haven't been this excited about a project in YEARS.... its about 9:30 am on a sunday morning and i've been up all night writing..... i'm actually skipping sleep to WRITE ^_^
  
  Scriptwriting is difficult, it takes a know-how that i don't exactly have, and it makes or breaks a movie.... so of course i jumped into it head first, and am currently asses and elbows in it..... don't ask me the name, what it's about, or whose in it unless you live within 50 miles of me and want to help , just kidding really, the truth is i dont want to give much of the plot away, i dont have a title, and we havent started casting
  
  but this is about day 9 or so since we green lit ourselves and i'm about 5000 words into the story outline.... probably another 2000 notes and jargon...... im about halfway done outlining the story btw, so 10,000 words just for the outline , i'm used to writing 3-5 page papers like clockwork, but spitting out a 25 page coherent manuscript takes time..... then its time to actually get down to work and turn that puppy into a script (which will take as much time figuring out HOW to do as it will to actually do it).... the format works to about 1 page of script for 1 minute of screen time... that works out to about 100+ pages for a feature length film...... which works out to early onset of carpal tunnel for me .... but i shouldn't whine so much, i really love this "job" and i cant even imagine how awesome it's gonna be to have my thoughts, characters, and words on a big screen in a few years
  
  hope to knock out most of pre before next summer so we can shoot with that beautiful Summer sun, if we can get all of our shots and reshoots done in the summer or close therein (should be pretty feasable), we can hound over Post-production for months and months and months, shining the sucker up.... and hopefully around summer 2010 we'll be whoring it out and seeing what we can get
  
  If something about this blog set you're belly on fire (it sure did it for me ) and you really want to be part of a movie production, feel free to pm me.... though you would have to live in the KC area and devote a few weeks of summer to physical labor (for no pay), we would at least feed you not to mention be amazingly grateful, and wouldn't it be the coolest thing to see your name rolling in the credits?! (did i mention my name is gonna roll twice? )

  National Champs BABY!!!!!!!!!!

  KU just won the NCAA basketball championship..... nothing is better..... the game was amazing...... the after parties were unimaginable....... greatest week of my life
