today i went to my local comic shop hoping to buy the dead space comics, well they didn't have them so i decided to see if he had any new halo figures in......AND HE DID. and i found out that series 2 came out.
so i got 2 which he charged $31.50($15.00 even without tax)
the first one was the campaign ODST- http://spawn.com/features/halo3s2/odst.htmlthis figure looks great, but i did find some flaws like the biggest one is is that there is no way you can get him to hold his weapon like he does in the quicktime vr in the link cause either the battle rifle but is too long OR he cant rotate his elbow 360 degrees his elbow can go up and down but not rotate which sucks. also he has no second weapon hole on the right leg so i guess he wasnt ment to cary a grenade or second weapon. and finally he is missing the ability to pose his toes. OH and yes his shoulder pads do come off and you can switch them, but his chest plate doesn't.
and the second figure i got was the Arbiter- http://spawn.com/features/halo3s2/arbiter.htmlthere was only one arbiter and im glad i got him cause he looks amazing. he comes with the plasma sword (finally) and that looks real. ok now on to the bad, first he comes with 2 weapon holes(back and leg) but the thing is it doesn't come with any pegs so you cant store the sword. finally the sword id frustrating to get in his hand, you have to really bend his fingers to get it in there. i have not tried it with the series one figures yet but i will try.
if you want some more links here you go
the first one i got was this
Virtually There: E3 2008 The Big Three Conferences
For tuning into GameSpot's E3 2008 live broadcast of all three of the manufacturer press conferences (Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft) on July 14-15. That's dedication.
i was hoping that you would get an emblem for each conference like other years, but i guess its ok.
and the second new one was this
Hey Louie, the man is dry. Give him one on the house, OK?
These special viewers caught all three days of GameSpot's live stage show at E3 2008. They braved the good and saw the best to be the straightest shooters around. This emblem is on the house
there was also a bronze
for watching one day GameSpot's live stage show at E3 2008, and silver
for watching 2 days of GameSpot's live stage show at E3 2008.
it didnt seem right to post each time i got bronze or silver or the sony , microsoft and sony emblems cause they werent going to be final.
just hope next year they give out 3 emblems for the conferences instead of one.
the first game i got today was Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem
i got it at eb games for $15.10 with tax ($14.99 without tax, and yellow tagged) i know it only got a 5.0/10 and i dont mind cause i wanted this game since launch but it was always a bit pricey.
the next game i got was Clive Barker's Jericho
i got it at blockbuster BRAND NEW for $11.19 with tax ($9.99 without). but heres the part i like, i discovered that there were 5 price stickers on it so i peeled them off and the read the top layer and the final price was $9.99, the second layer was $19.99, the third was $36.99, the fourth was $49.99 and the fifth and final layer was $69.99. i mean that was a damn good price, its just too bad gamespot only gave it a 6.5/10.
and finally the dvd set i got was Dragon Ball Z Double Feature - The History of Trunks / Bardock the Father of Goku
and it cost $25.57 with tax($22.83 without).
i have beat prey on Cherokee difficulty earning me the
Galactic Hero achievement and also gave me 1000/1000 points which makes this the 3rd game i got all 1000 points (1st-king kong, 2nd-TMNT).
by far prey has been the best 360 game i have played, and the very end it gives me hope cause it said "prey will continue......" cause i know prey 2 will be even better.
finally i ask you of one thing if you dont own prey i suggest go out and buy it or the least you can do is download the demo from XBL you will love it.
on tuesday i bought TMNT, and today i beat it and got all 1000/1000 points and this makes it the second game i got all 1000 points, the first was king kong. now i am working on my 3rd 1000 point game with PREY, all i need to do with prey is beat it on Cherokee mode and i have done it.
when i beat TMNT i had a completion percent of 71% a total play time 5:10:22 (thats 5 hours, 10 minutes and 22 seconds yea its that short) had gotten 93/208 coins, and the levels i needed to get an A on were level 2-B, level 3-B, level 7-C, level 10-B, level 14-B, level 15-B and level 16-B. i will continue to play this game and not trade it back for a fraction of what i paid for it, no i will continue to play it and unlock all the concept art and stuff.
and FINALLY i have past the 5000 gamerscore point, now having 5340 i am ever so close to my dream of a 5 digit gamerscore. i also like to note i only had my xbox since the middle of the second half of feburary so i think im doing pretty good so far.
yesterday i got one game and one dvd set. first i got TMNT
brand new at eb games for $10.06 with tax ($8.98 without) i know gamespot gave it a 6.4 but i didnt get it for the score........just the super easy achievments.
and the dvd i got was the Dragon Ball Z Double Feature which includes the movies "dead zone the movie" and "the worlds strongest"
i got this at walmart for $25.47 with tax ($22.83 without) the bad thing is that its only 105 minutes long for both but i guess thats ok since it does come in a kickin metal tin.
and the next time i go to town i will be getting this dbz movie set
