Halo 3 launch nite.
Ok, last tuesday I went to the Halo 3 launch at the eb games downtown in S.F. There was a lot of people there and they had a truck set up outside for people to play the game on. Dudes were carrying tanks of that moutain dew game fuel giving out free samples. in fact, I think that is the only way that i like that stuff, in small doses. If you drink more than 8 ounces of that stuff, its pretty nauseating. So, for now, ill stick to my game fuel of choice, coffee and malt liquor. The launch was pretty lame, i mean downtown SF is kinda shady after dark lots of people asking for change and being irritating. But that is the balance that i am willing to cope with living in this city. So at midnight, people got their games and went home. kinda bleh for me, my dog who was with me that night also felt the same way.

Sony playstation tour in S.F.
Ok, today I had attended the playstation tour here in the downtown San Fran Best Buy. It was a nice setup where They have this Semi rigged up to be nothing but a huge Playstation demo unit. Noteable titles were heavenly sword which looked like the release version and Warhawk which was not yet playable due to network settings. They also had the new star wars battlefront that is coming out for the psp and hot shots tennis for the ps2 which has been out for a while.
On a side note, I really liked talking to the TRUCK driver. He seemed the most considerate of the team. He actually talked to me. What I mean by talked, he actually had a conversation with me about games. He admitted that he did not know to much about them, but he was cool enough that it didn't bother me. Now the program manager for this tour, he would get on the mic every 10 minutes or so and say his speech that he was supposed to plug. He almost acknowledged my presence. He seems to me like someone that should be working at pacific sunwear folding t-shirts. He was not very engaging but I guess that is to be expected with the 1 non-functiong unit. Here is the interaction I had with him, I was talking with the driver and mentioned that i saw him on the website,(the other dude was right next to me working on locking up a system. So the driver tells him how I saw them on the net, and while still staring at the system, says,"yeah?" then goes back to work. I work in a position where we take communication with our consumers very seriously and I would not have a manager like that leading a team when he cant even muster up a half of a second of eye contact. But maybe im being to hard on the kid. Nah, I would love to have a job like that. Its too bad that his supervisors cannot see his poor performance.
As for the games:
Heavenly sword= fun, and the way the story goes with the action is great. I just do not have a ps3 yet but i would definatly rent it. not enough replay for me to own.
hot shots tennis= i would probably buy it since its only 30 dollars and i can play with others.
star wars psp= its another battlefront with more stuff
