Thoughts on new Halo 3 co-op mode and a few new games..

Recently got Diablo 2 and its expansion, Lord of Destruction. Since I was nearing the end of the first game I thought maybe I should go out and get the second one. While browsing, I was also able to find Postal 2: Share the Pain. Pretty much known as one of the most violent games out there and has been known to be banned in several countries and take off the shelves of many stores. Lucky for me I guess, must be pretty rare I bet.

Anyways, this new 4 player co-op mode for Halo 3's campaign is a pretty sweet idea. Players will then be working as a team via online to achieve goals. I was thinking how would this affect the story. I remember seeing the newest Halo 3 trailer with Master Chief and the Arbiter standing together for some reason. Well, I don't know about the other two elites but they may play a role in the story and campaign somehow. Or they could just be extras. The sound of 4 player co-op is so exciting. Makes me want to buy a 360 but for now, I'm saving up for better things. Like a car for example.

Sooner or later other games will follow suit. I can imagine games such as Call of Duty, Medal of Honor, or Brothers in Arms following Halo 3's example of having 4 player co-op. I think co-op online will be a growing trend for FPS games. Reminds me of how Diablo came up with co-op online. Then all of a sudden other games followed suit...

2 years and no progress... Well, no progress here anyways..

Member since August 2005 and yet I missed out on a lot of badges and opportunities to get higher levels. Mates of mine who also started around the same time as me are far ahead as level 30 and other stuff. Also got tons of incomplete reviews here at my harddrive waiting to be finished and published lmao. Huh, lack of progress at the site. Probably cause of my long periods of being away. Or my habit of playing games and going out to places. Hey, its summer. I can come back.

Among other things as playing games and hanging with friends, I've been reading, heavily. For a while now I found a burst of interest in graphic novels. No, not the anime or manga types, the good'ole comic types. Works such as "Watchmen", "Sin City", and "The Crow"... Don't really know any other good ones lol, those are the ones I currently own. Looking for more and will be hunting'em down. Lol, getting a lot interested in literature nowadays. Will be forced to pick up those summer reading books eventually as each school year pass lol. I just seem to find graphic novels more immersive than other books.

Progress, progress. Getting into a lot of things yet not much progress. Such as how I'm starting to get really into music now. Probably cause how Guitar Hero changed me lol. Since playing and finishing those two games, I've gotten a lot interested in many rock bands. I started out as a lowly mainstream listener to a more diverse one. Taking into liking to bands with emo, metal, alternative, and classical styles sprinkled all over them. From "Guns and Roses", "Judas Priest", and "Rolling Stones" to "The Used", "Alexisonfire", and "Children of Bodom"... Much has changed in 2 years. A lot of things can happen.

Its all part of our paths. Part of our progress to shapping our character. Lmao, you wouldn't be hearing this bullcrap from a 14 year old.

    Getting into some "dungeon crawlers"...

I've found a growth of interest in these types of games after playing Diablo for a while. So, I got busy and looked up a lot of them and plan to get more. I just got the Diablo expansion pack, Hellfire (very rare I hear, lucky to find one) and I recently purchased Fate, another game similar to Diablo. Looks good too. I'm planning to get Fallout and Fallout 2 along with Diablo 2 and its expansion. Don't know why but I found a liking to these types.

  • Spartan: Total Warrior

"Been there, done that" Spartan: Total Warrior doesn’t really add anything new to the hack-n’-slash genre. But it sure does offer some enjoyment and replay value. If you want a game mainly based on fighting large amounts of enemies, then this might quench your thirst. Continue »
