Happy Bday to ME

Its my Bday Everyone. And I'm celebrating it by doing NOTHING. hahha...cause I'm BROKE AS HELL.

My aunt gave me a $25 gift card to Cold Stone Creamy, that's all I'm gonna do besides pick up my last check from my previous job. On top of that, I don't get paid from my new job until August 11th!! I guess at least I'll have a way bigger check.

My new job is like my old job but with comfort and ease. My first day tonight went by quick. However, I'm real sleepy but hungry. My hours are range between 5pm and 12am on weekdays and saturday. But Sunday there are two shifts. I make my own scudle each week, as long as I do a minimum of 20 hours per week and 5 weekend shifts (Fri, Sat and Sun count as 4 weekend shifts already). Plus I get paid break, woot! There's plenty of AC, not too many people on the floor, much relaxing, comfy chairs, nice view (on the 27th floor) and overall courteousness in the office.

Aside from that, my current anime viewing are: Trigun, Naruto Shippudden and Bleach. I finished Trinity Blood already. Lucus recommended Berserk, so I'll get to that after Trigun.

My current gaming list: Xenosaga Episode 1 (yeh I still haven't finished. I think I'm like three major environments away.), God of War PSP, Space Invaders PSP, Ratchet and Clank PSP, and Mana Khemia: Alchemists of the Al-Revis. I haven't played my 360 in a long time, like since I got the Mana Khemia game and my PSP (both at the same time for my bday). I won't have any money now for Soul Caliber IV but I can get that next month.

And how was your day, Spawnie? LOVELY!!!!!!!!

Gamespot is for Game News only....

You can't get much out of Gamespot besides some gaming news, and the ability to talk to friends. Even the forums have become unbareable to post and read in. When you try to do something on here, something is prohibiting you, or if you expect Gamespot to give you something, they fall through. Its beyond occasional glitches. That's why I stopped caring about a lot of things I used to do while in Gamespot. I used to own a couple of unions - Now I deleted them, dropped out of a lot, and now I barely go to unions. I used to post in forums - now its full of fanboys and downright idiots trying to post intellectually when they're notthing but docuhes. I even tried to spice up my profile - Can't update my games section where you type in the box about the different sections; can't put images on my homepage; don't get the emblems I'm suppose to get, can't write a blog without getting censored; and the list goes on and on. And they STILL HAVEN'T FIXED ANY OF IT.

So I watched Sony and Microsoft Conference, only got the Nintendo Emblem. i watched Microsoft via Stream on Wednesday. I also watched the last E3 Gamespot converage on Wednesday - didn't get an emblem for that either. So the hell with them.

In other news: I got a new job. Well sorta. It's the same job I had only with a different company, location and more pay. The environment is awesome. I'm in manhattan, on the 27th floor, great view, workstation is clean and comfy, people are nice. Not too many people on the floor, just an overall good area to work. However, I start training tomorrow. Paid Training that is. If I pass I can start on Monday.

To anybody who has msn, yahoo or an Aim account, I need some new buddies, so PM me with it, my info is in my profile, thanks.

And How was your day, Spawnie?

I got the God of War PSP Bundle for B-Day

I brought myself that God of War PSP bundle today for my birthday next week. I said why not, I had enough money on my credit card.

The system comes with GOW Chains of Olympus, Superbad UMD movie, and some accessories (AC Adapter, Battery Pack, Instructions booklets, etc). I was hpoing it came with headphones and/or AT LEAST THE MEMORY CARD. How cheap!

To go with the game, I brought the USB Cable, Space Invaders Extreme, Team America UMD movie, and Rachet & Clank: Size Matters. I already have some PSP games from when I borrowed Vansulis' Black PSP. Had I known I didn't have a memory card, I would have brought it there. So I'll go to Blockbuster to see if they have one and maybe pick out a cheap PSP game over there.

I also brought Mana Khemia: Alchemists of Al-Revis for PS2. I was looking for this game in-store and Vansulis saw it hiding on the shelves. I was shocked so I had to buy it there at Gamestop.

Microsoft Owned, Nintendo still got it and Sony...umm.

I didn't get a chance to see the Microsoft Conference this year sadly, so I will not cover it in this blog. (although when they have a video of it later, I'll watch) However, I can refer to some shockers about it from reading the forums and from other gamers.

Nintendo E3 2008 Conference

It was a decent introduction that I can remember. A woman came on the scene which thrilled me as she talked about snowboarding and what not. Some of her jokes were a hit or miss, I thought she was trying too hard, then again the audience seemed dead anyway. They started off showing what was expected and had in depth look at most of the games. Even performed musical numbers, a duel fight, and snowboarding techniques. Nintendo always look like they having fun with the games on stage and you just wanna put on your Wii and join the action. I forgot to mention the newWii remote sensor. It was awesome andI can definitely have alot of fun with that.

I was not too thrilled when the most expected rated-M game, MadWorld, was not covered at all. It would have been the perfect time to show its horns, but once again it's all about the "casual gamers" or "non-gamers". It's been a couple of years, make something for your adult fans NINTENDO.

This conference shocker were GTA coming to the DS and COD5 also. Wowsers.

Sony E3 2008 Conference

The intro was SWEET. Feeling it well! But then it slowly went down hill when the talker just KEEP TALKING. At least switch up the presenters. But anyway, On with the trailers, demos and gameplay.

Resistance 2 looked really sweet. I never played Resistance Fall of Man, so I didn't know what to expect. But a basic FPS action, shooting monsters that threaten humanity and what not. Now you got this big ole monster picking him up and dropping him down. He shoots a missle at him a couple of times in his mouth, yet he's still not dead? Unrealistic.

The character goes through a building trying to get a better aim, and the monster is standing there looking at him? UNREALISTIC. He goes to the roof, gets attacked again, picked up, throw 100 feet and no health drain. I would have got up and walked out on that game testing..

Throughout the conference, they showed Resistance 2 like 4 or 5 times like there was no other game to get excited about.

Sony data for anual sales and blah blah were shown rather creatively. They used Little Big Planet to present their data by created their own world I guess. Even though it was interesting, it showed nothing about the gameplay or even a trailer about Little Big Planet. whose to say they didn't modify the presentation and not that you could make all that in the game?

After that they showed some more half trailer some games worth looking at weren't.

Then they talked about DC Universe online. That looked pretty sweet, however the ability to create your own villan/hero I wasn't sure on. If you can't then it's not that great now is it? MAG was very interesting indeed. 256 players one one map? How the hell can you even turn your head without being hit up, stabbed, blown up, shot up, burned up, etc?

I saw what looked like HOME for the PS3. It looked choppy, and ridiculous if you asked me. maybe I went too far, looked like a sims games. Also, they mentioned all these downloadable content and games and movies you can buy. Well the price is a little steep compared to Wii and XBL where you use points to buy things. But I liked the little set up they had there. They are the king of downloads right now I guess.

As fas as the PSP goes, nothing too exciting there. So overall that conference wasn't all that great. Especially when Tretton kept talking about exclusives where Xbox360 has more exclusives times 3! Some games I definitely wanted coverage on were Persona 4, Ghostbusters, and Mirror's Edge.

After hearing about Microsoft, some of the games I wanted to get more info for wasn't in there, so I'm disappointed. But i'd say the best conference was Nintendo hands down.

What are you looking for in E3?

I'm wondering what you guys are looking forward to from looking at E3 this year? Any of you are actually going?

Even though alot of new games will be announced, most likely we won't get to see any of them till next year fall. Aside from the ones already coming out this fall, I'm looking forward to the PS3 press conference. Why? Because I am definitely thinking about getting a PS3 this fall. Games like Mirrors Edge and InFamous. Just give me a reason to get a PS3.

I'm definitely looking forward to more coverage on MadWorld for the Wii. Perhaps Nintendo will announce more games in that genre.

I'm not too interested in what Microsoft has to say this year though because most of the games I want is coming out this fall anyway. Although it would be nice to hear more coverage on Infinite Undiscovery, Lord of the Rings: Conquest, Afro Samurai, and Tomb Raider: Underworld.

I almost forgot, my favorite JRPG series, Shin Megumi Tensei is coming out with Persona 4. I want more coverage on that one as well. Woot!

In other news: my Birthday is coming up on July 23rd. It's a wednesday and I gotta work but I have that friday off so it's all good. I don't plan on doing anything extravegent though. Only get Soul Caliber IV and a birthday cake. Celebrate it with my boyfriend and family. Perhaps go to my fav restaurant in manhatten or in City Island (Bronx).

New Games Purchased

A Few days ago, me and my boyfriend went to the mall and Red Lobster. I brought some games from Target. I brought Bully: Scholarship Edition (360), and Burnout Paradise (360), and Guitar Hero: Aerosmith.

Burnout Paradise is the most beautiful racing game I have ever seen and played. Not only do you get to compete in different types of races at intersections, but you get to explore beautiful scenery, figure out shortcuts, bust through billboards, and crash through yellow gates. Awesomeness! (Well I never played Burnout so this is new to me). Also, you get to make score of the takedowns. Sweet.

Bully is just like the Ps2 Version. I haven't played much of the PS2 version, but it's pretty good. However, the left analog stick to control sometimes goes out of sync.

GH: Aerosmith. I have watched my boyfriend play it, but it's not really all that great. You have to definitely play what they give you so you can move on and play some aerosmith songs. The songs by the band isn't in abundunce nor do they have all the hits on there. My bf thinks that maybe not all the songs we love had enough guitar solos or whatever they use in GH to convert it into a GH song. I hope that's what it was. But if you're really pi$$ed bout the songs, you can just make your own in GH4.

Blog coming to a profile near you: My top ten 2008 games and it's reviews (includes newly released and games I just started playing in 200

P.S. Vansulis and I just celebrated our 2 year anniversary. Woot!
